Pumpy, Thomas and Philo, just thought I'd tell you about a radio show that I stumbled across this morning, quite by accident.
It's Radio Wales, just to the left of R.5. I switched it on at about 9ish and there it was, wave-length switch must have had a nudge. It's all old favourite songs, (started with Sam & Dave, 'Soul Man', when I turned on), and they do a running 'double your money'- name the track by a clip of the intro. quiz, for phone-in contestants, throughout the show. It finished at 10am. Sounds just up your street lads. Must go again now, thought I'd tell you now before I forget. |

Crikey !
Is that the time? It must have finished at 11am ! |

Hi Thomas, if you are about.
Re. radio station. I never thought about not being able to get it anywhere else. It's because they said; 'BBC Radio Wales', I just imagined anyone could get it. Sorry, I do get confused, as you know! Shame that, you'd have really enjoyed it. The quiz is called; 'money for nothing'. I don't think anyone managed to double successfully past 64.The music was great throughout the show. I'll tune in again next Saturday, if I remember. |

Morning pumphol - any idea of a time for today's Carry On quiz?
BTW, this should make you laugh after Friday night. As you know, I'm totally p!ssed off with all the tips I get, etc. So the chap from Friday night gets in touch on Saturday morning with three horses that he's had tips for and wants money on. Anyway, I've had enough - too embarrassed to mention anything on the forum, too fed up to put any money on and so decide to lay them. Autumn Glory won at 9/1; Close To you won at 4/1 and Wavertree Warrior won at 8/1. Must post this on the quiz later to give everyone a laugh too. Also, did you see the letter in the Racing Post, someone moaning about bookies at Newmarket not observing the minute's silence for Tom Halliday. Well, I don't know where he was at Newmarket but from my position in Tattersalls there was complete and utter silence in the ring and obviously over the years there have been many of these "minute silences" and wherever I have been the betting ring has always been exemplary in observing them. Wish the Post could check out the facts before printing something so incorrect. |

Forget to mention, pumphol, to cap it all, the same fellow backed Vortex when it won at Newmarket at 16/1 (good result for me that day) and obviously backed against it with Autumn Glory yesterday so I asked him about Vortex and he said that it would'nt be winning!
