is it a new rule that a team has to give a pen away directly after a try?

That's better, and that definitely was a pen. Awful decision by Lauret to run that angle.

Evans shows once again how class he really is. In golf circles that is what is known as a punch shot

Parks is having an absolute stinker. How often has that been said in the past?

Erm, I only have 10 fingers to count on.

He was abysmal in the Biarritz v Connacht game in round 4. Just can't work out what he was trying to do.

Not for accidental CC, although that appears to be a guessing game as to who meant to do what.

Bugger it. Needed a good 10 minutes for Biarritz to have any hope of grinding it in for 7pts

Choice of games at 1:35pm

Castres v Ulster or Glasgow v Northampton

I'm going for the latter as I have bets on that one, but both are interesting. Ulster possibly only need the win for a top seed, but if Sarries or Toulouse start wracking up tries Ulster could be away to one of those 2 in the QFs. Northampton need a bonus point win for a sniff of the QFs - a win for Northampton will give them an Amlin place at worst so they clearly have good motivation going into this one.

Castres can still qualify for the Amlin if they win and Northampton don't, but it's anyone's guess as to whether they want that or not. Glasgow meanwhile have nothing at all to play for and will be desperately hoping not to get anyone injured.

i'm not seeing anything on the outrights or 'caps to get too exited about today. cardiff beginning to show signs of life so semi tempted by them giving up a dozen although would like to see what state the pitch is in.

i'm a bit annoyed i didn't jump on paddy's original line of -3 saints but i would have had to go to their shop and the weather was rotton (poor attitude i know)
still trying to decide whether the paddy try scorer offer is worth taking advantage of.
