More 'mobilised'?
Gorton was obviously Muslims going green. Never going to vote Reform. Makerfield was to get rid of 2tk. Caerphilly again was anti Labour. Reform never held any of their seats, and off the top of my head, increased their vote share in all of them. |
By:
Count Binface is a joke candidate and he can't win. Agreed. However, there will be plenty of folks (around 25% to 30% of the Clacton electorate) who normally always vote Labour, LibDem or Green who may wish to cast their vote to voice their displeasure at Farage. Reform spokesperson Zia Yusuf accusing Ben Wallace, a former serving Army officer and Minister of Defence of being a traitor won't exactly endear him to Tory voters either.

clearly we don't have to worry about the big picture here. I do not know how it will all play out. However, my instinct is that Burnham is already falling flat on his face before he has even been seen at the despatch box. The fallout of the sentencing act and the mega dinghy wrapped around the Sun, the honeymoon is over and the alleged resurgence of the tories is a simply mirage. Pretty timely as they are soon to be eclipsed again. There is only really one home for that vote right now, as I see it.
By:
How many people voted fro the Lib Dems and Greens in Makerfield? Almost all switched to Burnham.
By:
This is a unique BE, and so was that. I'd argue even more so. The route to getting rid of Labour was voting Labour. I thought they would treat it as if they'd one a new general election, as if it was a completely different party, and I was right.
There definitely is an 'anyone but Reform' catchment right now. But by the time of the actual next general election, I expect that to have dissipated. |

By:
To stop Reform perhaps?
By:
it will be anyone but tik tok burnham, if he's still in place.
By:
Well the economy is stuffed by debt and inequality. Expectations don't meet reality, so any incumbent is going to struggle. Burnham is far more personable than Starmer, and far more likely to challenge the failing policies of the last 20 years, that saw Labour lose support to The Greens
But far more people don't want Reform to win than any other party. It was 40% (only poll I'm aware of from YouGov) and Reform have lost support in the polls since then. The enquiry into Farage won't go away. It's fairly obvious what the purpose of the £5m gift was for. |
By:
It's a well trodden path, using process and lawfare to try and influence/swing elections. Polling is pretty irrelevant and not trustworthy. Fair voting is what counts, and the next test is tomorrow.
The vast majority of people in the country are more personable than Starmer. That is a pretty low bar. Gimmicks like number 10 north and dozens of tik toks will have a very limited shelf life. In fact, I think they've already gone off, just like he had on a fortnight's holiday. |

Either Binface wins and the investigations into farrages are stopped, or farrage wins and they recommence.
The refukers lack a sense of humour, Binface has been anti all politicians for some time with somewhat limited success, his London Mayoral exploits being perhaps a career high up to now says it all. By declaring first in this charade he has scooped a huge boost to his media footprint. Pretty much what he has been seeking for years. The hatred from the half wits is hilarious Sacrificing the Manchester Mayoral election to campaign flat out in Clacton is also hilarious GOOD LUCK TO ALL,.. AND MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT |
By:
I'm looking forward to his victory speech (what will he talk aboout? will he claim his resounding win against a dustbin shows the public don't mind his dodgey crypto money?).
Will he break into a trot? running away from the press questions just like a perp on the steps of the old baily? Will the next days headlines be about an unfortunate encounter with flying foodstuff? |

Have you seen a doctor ?

Your obsessiveness is bordering on the unhinged. You absolutely know what the result will be (apparently), but still frothing with excitement. Exactly what is generating that excitement, is not too evident. If the legacy parties hadn't bottled it, it would still effectively be a non event. Unless you think the Tories would have saved their deposit. lol.
By:
I feel like there is a fair chance that they will bottle the originally planned by election too. Hopefully that's the case, if only for your health and wellbeing!

One of the things this billionaires vs british madlad clown show has revealed is just how childishly pathetic the woke right supporters are on here.
Starved of any good reason this by-election should be happening or indeed any good reason the people of clacton should vote for thier clown, they're left with nothing but playground insults and tantrums. #GoBinface, #WinItForBritain when this is over, the woke right will pretend it didn't even happen. |

CLYDEBANK2912 Aug 26 11:57Joined: 10 Jan 02 | Topic/replies: 15,545 | Imo he is very clever/sharp and intellectual. I'd say easily top 1% of the population and arguably the smartest person in the room on most occasions you see him interviewed. It's evident on almost all footage. It's clear you don't appreciate it else you wouldn't be asking. You can watch the Oxford Union debate if you wish, (that's his audience, much like Clacton is Farage's imo) but I'm confident you won't see it. Here's an idea of some of the sharp wit and intellectualism of Mr Harvey : "Award-winning Jonathan Harvey's credits include Gimme Gimme Gimme; Murder Most Horrid; Coronation Street; Call The Midwife; and Tracey Ullman's Show". Can't get more highbrow than that can you ![]() |

Can you get more highbrow than the Oxford Union?
By:
Only joking by the way , it's just a guy with the same name as Binface but made me chuckle anyway
![]() |
By:
btw, just to back up your claim of the Oxford Unions "highbrowness" , speakers in days gone by have included Elton John, Michael Jackson and Shakira .
Intellectual powerhouses all, i'm sure you'd agree ![]() |

I'm convinced CB is trolling.
Nearly 8 minutes, very well done if you make it through all of them. Count Binface versus the world's media https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kj7p-Ku3EHY |

By:
The audience is. I'm sure that's what you are talking about rather than the cast of the shows you mention? Tommy Robinson has debated at the Oxford Union too.

By:
It's a sort of lame Smash rip off. I'm laughing at you silly humans. ho ho ho. Possibly a smidge of insight in it, if he wasn't beaten to the punch by a fake mashed potato advert.

I've already seen that Cider. It's lost on you clearly. A bit like Ali G and Borat are lost on some people

Seems like he wiped the floor with Nik Ferrari and Dawn whatshername on the political quiz. All the comperes it seems to me are smiling and appreciative, recognizing his talent and intellect is above their's

Comparing him to SBH
![]() As I stated, I'm a fan of satire, and I love dark humour. No, I'm not struggling to get the joke. This comedian is simply another champagne socialist. So yes, other champagne socialists might try to find him intelligent, as they love his targets. It has been an extremely difficult century. Everyone in the United Kingdom has been directly affected by the mistakes of Starmer, Sunak, Truss, Johnson, May, Cameron and on and on it goes. Now your wonderful, beautiful, unparalleled constituency is the epicentre of a political battle for the ages. Count Binface Lifts The Lid is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. Will you choose Andy Burnham, ‘the King of the North’, hoping he’ll inject a bit of fresh (mid-fifties) blood into the Labour Party and give them one more chance to stave off the threat of a horrific Reform UK government led by crypto-fuelled Nigel Farage? Or will you choose a self-confessed sexist plumber with appalling views on abortion? Hilarious ![]() |
By:
He's serious and flippant at the same time, and he does it brilliantly. He's very sharp answering on the spot totally random questions. Far sharper than the vast majority of politicians
By:
All the things you could rip Burnham for, and his picks that he is middle aged
![]() And he's not even trying to find humour in the Kenyon digs, he prefers being supercilious. Up to you what you think obviously, but I don't see anything especially intelligent, witty or insightful. Just masking his bile and hate behind a character. Not exactly Merchant and Gervais is it. |
By:
If he's meant to be a space alien then why has he got a bin used by earthlings on his bonce ?
Comparisons to Baron Cohen's characters are ridiculous, he's light years ahead of this guy. |
By:
With Burnham, he was continually on message that Burnham see out his term as Mayor. Obviously you weren't paying attention. Easy target but nothing to be gained in making jokes about the plumber.
By:
I'm not comparing him to SBC Cohen characters. I'm using SBC as an example of how his jokes and messages are lost on some people (and that being deliberate on his part), with the most famous and clearly obvious example of that. The only clearly recognisable example I can think of off the top of my head.
By:
It's not that I/we are missing your point. I'm genuinely struggling to understand which element is meant to be subtle, intelligent or 'clever'. Nothing you have listed has that, imo. he is basically ian hislop in fancy dress.
By:
The one thing that nearly all, if not all, those Count Binface interviewers have is surprise at just how sharp and smart Count Binface is. He fools people into thinking he's a limited one dimensional character, when he's actually the smartest person in the room.
By:
I'll give you an example, the white lotus is one of the smartest dark comedies created in modern times. Now, Mike White is super insightful and it was a great take on many aspects of current life like consumerism. But plenty of people didn't get the show, and found it boring. I'm not observing this with fatface, he's just not funny.
By:
Oh and if it has somehow passed anyone by, WATCH IT NOW. LOL
By:
Not really the case with Harvey though is it Clyde, Binface is obviously a spoof character and his interviewers know this, it takes little skill to pull that off.
Ferrari and Butler would obviously play along on that politics show because they already knew the "joke" and wouldn't want to come across as po-faced. He's just another Monster Raving Loony tribute act without the charm of someone like Screaming Lord Sutch. |
By:
Series 2 just happens to have the best opening credits/theme as well. It went a bit pete tong for series 3

I read this today, one what might call a middle class forum. And it's not a spoof.
This is on behalf of my son who ended full time employment in June and ended his relationship with his girlfriend and as a result will leave their rented accommodation end of September. He is exploring applying for UC and JSA and working 15 hours per week. |
