Hard to believe she knew nothing about it when they lived together for 14 years.

Exactly, the cult is a dangerous web of deranged and brainwashed psychos.
They will defend her and him to hell and back. |

Yes, a cynical person might wonder why this hearing scheduled for a few months ago originally would have been rescheduled for late May. |
|
By:
Seems very strange to myself she didn’t know.
She must have known what the income was and expenditure was as family. An auld lad told me years ago about his sons swindling company and he said “ the wife’s knew because they knew what wages were†|

Put it down basics here if you are you bringing in say a cenny a week but spending 2 cenny, unless you are betting a lot of winners, there is obviously a red flag

Campervan 125 k , was Sturgeon ever in the Camper Van ?
Consideing the price of the Van I would say there is more than 400K Involved But that is all they can Prove ... Sturgeon acknowledges the outcome will trigger "political discussion", and says she understands why. "However, for me this has also been a profound personal trauma," she adds. "I need to remain focussed on recovering from that and building a new phase of life. "I will be making no further comment." |
|
By:
"I will be making no further comment"
And why would you want to incriminate yourself? Better keeping stum. |
|
By:
She will be Keeping a low Profile , Abroad ?
The press will be hot on her heels as Malay says if not winning the Money ,she must have know he was Bang at it But were they even living together , the Marriage was a complete sham IMO |

Why would a lesbian woman and an allegedly homosexual man get married at all.

|
By:
All seems bit strange to myself because she was leader of a country who appears not to have understood how finances work in her own household.
Btw I always found her quite impressive when speaking about politics. But I liked Bertie Aherne too for a while, maybe politics is not my gig. |
|
By:
No idea they were both left handers.

The other thing is he stole the money off the SNP, he’s admitted that, so I can’t be sued for that, so lads who hate SNP might be happy. That money should have been to progress the party.
|
|
By:
The SNP leader says many paid their party fees as they believed in independence, even though they didn't "have much money to rub together".
Pete certainly believed in Independance |
|
By:
It’s not just the wife/husband relationship. It’s the fact she was the leader of the party.
She’s on record 5 years ago refuting allegations any money was missing. She told party members finances were fine in video calls on record and she signed off the accounts. Given she ruled the party with an iron fist and any dissenters or threats to the partly like Salmond and Cherry were sidelined and attacked it’s hard to believe she hadn’t the faintest idea there was any problem with party finances and money having gone missing. |

Definitely Nanny, he was there for himself, I wonder about politicians at times, cos wages are not massive, Starmer for example could make much more as Barrister, although my mate said he wasn’t very good barrister.
Boris makes more money now than when pm. |

wee Nicky said all funds were safe and Secure If I was John Swinney I woulld be keeping quite regarding Sturgeon |

No idea they were both left handers.
Cue Pete saying he's been living a lie all these years before the sentencing hearing and wants to now live his life as a woman in one of the SNP womans prisons that also allows blokes in. |

Now we know why she retired from politics so suddenly. ( a couple of weeks before his arrest). Well timed you might say.

£2.5k spent on salt and pepper grinders. £110 on a pencil sharpener. £260 spent on chop sticks.
Always good to see left wing progressives live up to their champagne socialist stereotype. |

Wee Krankie will do well to get away scot free imo, internal revolt, talks of a cover up, some very unhappy bunnies it seems.
|
|
By:
"Que" ?
|
|
By:
Wee jimmy Krankie = Sturgeon. Only a matter of time before her door is knocked imo.
|
|
By:
Looks like since she released her initial statement after the court appearance of Pete saying she wouldn't comment she has released another via her new solicitor Ameer Anwar.
He will have some free time now since the Manchester Airport trial has eventually finished. She must be in full panic mode now about her future book festival appearances drying up. |
|
By:
Such are the guilded lives our leaders live, Nicola can hardly be blamed for not noticing the £2,000+ worth of salt grinders at home.
|
|
By:
It does add some credence to the previous allegations, dismissed at the time as conspiracy theories, re the lavender marriage, the injunctions (people's private lives are private). Fair play to the few who back 5/6 years ago started to question the SNP's finances, only to be knocked back by........Nicola Sturgeon. They'll still be the dominant party but some followers will jump ship - even before that independence was looking less likely, despite all their noises to the contrary. They can kiss that dream goodbye.
As is not that unusual, the great good and grubby of the Fourth Estate probably have more dirt to throw at this. The English media will be enjoying this. |
|
By:
Wonder what his sentence will be ? surely he must have 400k available to pay it back, which would obviously be mitigating for any long sentence.
Surprised he got remanded too, because there are lot of violent criminals get bailed before sentencing, all very strange. Remember he did not steal from taxpayers he stole from SNP party, 2 different things. |
|
By:
He stole tax payers money that had been given to the SNP in the form of short money.
|
|
By:
Remember he did not steal from taxpayers he stole from SNP party, 2 different things.
Surely it was Tax payers money as these were donations from Tax paying members. ? Probably not got bail for fears he would flee the country. |
|
By:
Possibly flight risk. That’s a good point, I did think that myself might be reason.
Tax payers money not sure that’s a viable charge, maybe some of the SNP donators were tax dodgers. Btw not saying they were, not at all. |
|
By:
Proceeds of crime act could come in here and then he’s no money, all I know is he pled guilty to embezzlement from SNP which papers reported, I know nothing about him apart from that.
|
|
By:
Why do I think the 400k is all they've been able to pin on him? He wouldn't be the first to play that game.
My guess is he would be a flight risk. Never mind Sturgeon, was he doing all this alone? I guess so, but we'll never know. My betting is some elements of the media have more dirt to fling, when they choose to do so. |
|
By:
He pled guilty which obviously help’s anybody on indictment on sentencing,I would assume that was on advice from legal representation, if he can pay back a good proportion of money he could be out in 9 months.
Not saying that’s correct but that’s how it works. As stated previously I think it all seems a bit murky, maybe the donor was a cryptocurrency man from abroad ![]() ![]() There will be a few others running for cover. |
