FORMER PM Boris Johnson last night refused to rule out another bid for No10, saying: “I wish things were different — I wish I was still able to be given a chance.”
When asked if he wanted another tilt at the top job, BoJo quoted advice given to him by the late Queen Elizabeth: “Only get involved in this stuff if you think you could be useful. |

Bunter to lead the Tories into the next election?
The gift that keeps giving! Bad Enoch probably wins this. Tories have really shot themselves in the foot Moore if their racists will join Reform…..good! |

Robert Jenrick just accepted a £25k donation from a firm owned by a sanctioned oligarch.
Access Industries (UK) Ltd is owned by Sanctioned Oligarch Sir Len Blavatnik Oops... |

Robert Jenrick put on the mantle of the ruthless right-winger to shake up benefit-scroungers. The worst thing about his presentation is that he doesn't look like he believes what he says. Which is not to say that he is insincere, he just can't put it across.

first hour was all Jenrick, market hasn't moved at all
The reform pundit summed his spiel up rather brilliantly. "It's all what you've heard time and time again from 14 years of conservative government, and they did nothing. If you like what you heard, go to reform.uk website" ![]() |

Robert Jenrick says he would reduce immigration to "the tens of thousands, or lower" if he was in Government.
A reminder that when he was actually in charge, as immigration minister, net migration to the UK rose to 685,000. |

Kemi hitting it out of the park compared to Jenrick.

Winning the Blue Rinse or being unelectable

Winning the blue rinse ballot may be more difficult than the next General election the way things are going.

As if modern day politics has anything to do with being electable. The tactic now is to smear and undermine opponents, so there's nothing to beat. Starmer loves his free clothes, well a mannequin in charge of Labour would have won the election in July. And done a better job in office.
|
|
By:
Whichever one wins, they will be attacked from inside as well as outside, if they don't comply with the demands of the Tory establishment.
|
|
By:
Not sure.
The Right is split and it will be internecine The left is not united and won by default. Everybody hates Starmer particularly the left. You Conservatives should have him as your pin up boy! I would say it is far too early to call 5 years. The World is in turmoil. We are just a small player on that stage and affected by it. Right now I cannot see the future although mine is looking rosy with plenty of holidays and then I will hopefully lose my mind and will not have to worry about sitting in my own faeces because there are no immigrants to change my nappies! I am an optimist Foinavon! |

MP's think neither of these should be leader, especially Badenoch who's the likely winner. Added to which she just can't help putting her foot in her mouth so will just pile pressure on herself.
We'll be having another Tory Leader thread 12 months from now. |

One common tactic used in smear campaigns is the use of innuendo or insinuation to imply that the target has engaged in wrongdoing or unethical behavior without providing any evidence to support these claims.
Sir Keir Starmer will no longer accept donations in the future to pay for clothes. Rachel Reeves and Angela Rayner also announced they would take the same approach moving forward. The decision by the prime minister, chancellor and deputy prime minister follows scrutiny of Sir Keir and his wife for accepting donations. The prime minister has accepted work clothing donations worth £16,200, and multiple pairs of glasses, to the value of £2,485, according to the MPs' register of interests. The register also shows Ms Rayner has accepted clothing donations, too, to the value of £2,230. .https://news.sky.com/story/starmer-to-no-longer-accept-donations-to-pay-for-clothes-sky-news-understands-13213951 |

The press only found out about them because the MP's actually declared their expenses. As they were completely allowed. So wrongdoing is...well, wrong.
I'm all for them tightening up the rules for the future though. |
|
By:
Was anyone claiming it broke parliamentary rules, or the law?
But you know that anyway. Gross hypocrisy is wrong. Just because someone can do something, doesn't mean that it's not wrong to do it. |

By:
Tories broke the law which is the same as labour declaring donations.
The gutter press in overdrive to convince folk. |

Half of Labour voters are disappointed by Starmer’s government, with four in ten Britons feeling the country is in a worse state than before the election
![]() This Sunday, it will have been 100 days since Keir Starmer became prime minister and formed the first Labour government in over 14 years. While still only a fraction of the way through this parliament, it has been an eventful few months and a period that has taken its toll on Labour’s popularity. After just three months in power, six in ten Britons (59%) disapprove of the government’s record so far, with only one in six approving (18%). ![]() Six in ten Britons disapprove of Labour's record in government so far ![]() But but Tories ![]() |

We hate Starmer for his actions and policies but we love him for what he's doing to the reputation of the Labour Party in the eyes of many of their traditional supporters. Reform is a bigger threat to the Tories than Labour has been ever since Gordon Brown wrecked the economy.
|
|
By:
Exactly, if they think it's about salvaging the Tory brand, all good lol. That's all but dead, and Starmer is doing a great job at killing Labour's. Although, I didn't expect him to be this good.

Who are the half that arent disappointed? They must have had incredibly low expectations.
