imo, its possible but not absolutely certain snb.

it is also possible that if she wins then she may be so bad that she is replaced before the next election. whoever wins has to last longer than the previous four tory leaders if they are to be in charge of that party at the next election.

She is a sort of black Liz Truss, only madder.

The main parties are slowly waking up to the fact that such is the public's disillusion with politics that they face a future full of floating voters

Yes Nobby,

None of us are being properly represented by our representatives

….. oh except the rich who do not pay their fair share. 130% deduction yes please.

I have no view on the Non Dom issue. We just need to stop companies like Amazon not paying tax on their profits while the little guy cannot send money offshore!

Not only do amazon not pay tax but they clear our
highstreets by out competing local businesses
who do pay rent and rates etc etc.

Putting folk out of work and increasing benefits.

Braindead dance of death spiral.

God bless them

The turkeys have voted for Christmas!

At least Cleverley looked half human.

They have voted for exile!

Thank you Nigel Farage! Thank you!

God bless the Tugenhat supporters thinking they will get a backbench post.

You gotta love ambition.

If you've not had a bet on here (and are winning) yourself why would you be laughing at other punters losing? Bit weird.

One Labour MP texts to ask if the Tory leadership result needs to be declared as a gift...

Not mine, but made me giggle.

Kemi's big problem is most Right Wing Tories are pretty thick. Her cabinet is going to look like Fred Kano's Army Laugh

Because the slaves to polls got spanked again. I was right, conference meant f all, doesn't matter whether I bet or not. It would actually have been better for me financially if Jim had slipped through, as I'm sure he would have been defeated. Plus of course, I'm not a fan of dripping wet Tories.

I feel Jenrick is most likely. Price not that appealing right now though.

It's more of an interesting match up now. My confidence in BadEnoch was in her facing someone normal in front of the weirdos. Now that's she's got someone equally barmy to fight against they've actually got a decision to make. I think her price is too short now as it stands.

Sounding like it's an almighty balls up by the MP's. Cleverley was complacent and stopped campaigning. And MP's thought everyone else was voting for him, so cast theirs for who they wanted him up against in the final.

Absolute scenes.

Think it was a mirage personally (Jim's perceived sharp rise in popularity). Moot now though.

There's very little difference between the two candidates policy-wise now. Pretty identical ideologies. Next few days could be fun if the dirty tricks campaign starts and they try to get their proxies to throw mud at the other.

Well Kemi's the one who bought her profile by constantly leaking stories to the press so that probably helps.
By:

When: 09 Oct 24 16:31
The perception has always been that Kemi is very popular among members. So if anything, in the short term Kemi's price is likely to be compressed.

Pippa crerar

Audible gasps in room at result - James Cleverly was 18 points ahead y'day.

I've spoken to Tory MPs today who were voting for their preferred *second* candidate in final two - all were working on basis Cleverly was safe.

ha ha, not so's campaign manager, grant shapps, is rumoured to be the one who pulled the masterstroke in lending votes.

There is a clown who inhabits this politics forum who forever bemoans the idea that the Tory membership is inherently racist - unlike his beloved Labour party.

We'll get our answer in 3 weeks. Cool
