I backed Cleverley months ago and happy to sit with that. Looks like they've ganged up on Badenoch but Jenrick is going for the full-on batsh!t members' vote and so he's a worthy favourite.
|
|
By:
There are only 121 MPs voting, so if you think he will build on his 33 votes, you would count on Jenrick being in the final. But he is only a worthy favourite if you don't look or listen to him, and I doubt he will be able to hold support over the next seven days. Even if he does, I don't think his lurch to the right will convince right-thinking Party voters in the run-off.

Cleverly has been an impressive performer throughout.
Dunno what the voting members will do, but hes the only one that hasnt ran down the wormhole. |

Only just come to this market but it is plain as a pikestaff that Robert Jenrick is no Party Leader.
When did Tom Tugenhadt mess up? When did Kemi Badenoch? |

RJ will say anything to get elected.

Presents like a loser. Be surprised if he makes the last two.

Jenrick will make the final two. Who he faces is a lottery.

I'll take his money, as usual. |

Bad enoch sponsored by ex Liz Truss backer
They know how to pick em |

Cleverleys chaos plans being enacted doesn't seem popular with cleverley... Lol

By:
Chagos, ffs phone.
Chaos is good, but, I wanted Chagos |

Jenrick looks virtually certain to be in the last two, barring a howler from him. His opponent is a different matter. As we know, the Tory MPs are as deceitful as they come so cannot be trusted to cast any of their votes honestly. I could easily see Badenoch being knocked out next, as Mel Stride voters split their forces between Tugendhat and Cleverly with previous Badenoch supporters deserting her for Jenrick. Jenrick might also just tell his spare current supporters to vote for Tugendhat, in order to get Cleverly out next.

JenRick should bring plenty of pies for tories to get
their thumbs into. I can't believe he's not in jail for corruption, but, fair play leading opposition could be suitable punishment |

Oh, I am certain that real estate deal is going to come back to haunt him amongst other unsavoury episodes.

BREAKING
Man who opened negotiations with Mauritius over the ownership of the Chagos Islands is reportedly “Shocked and appalled” at the idea now that he’s in opposition. ![]() |

Not so cleverley forgetting it's his work...

|
By:
All Spike had to do was say nothing. Now he has opened a huge can of worms, how can he be trusted with anything if he can't remember being in charge just a couple of years ago?
|
|
By:
You wouldn't know Jenrick has a problem until you watch him at the podium.
He may well make the last two but I don't see the Tory Party members elevating him to leader. |
|
By:
Big drift on James Cleverley. Is it just this Chagos Islands thing? Seems small beer.
|
|
By:
it's more that he's level pegging with badenoch now. jenrick clear favourite again and even more odds on. he'll make it to the final 2, depends what the membership do.

Awkward photos show James Cleverly's wife was at Wimbledon freebie - despite record saying she wasn't. Oops!

CLEVERLY HAS THE APPEAL TO VOTERS, THE TORIES AREN'T STUPID HE HAS MORE CHARISMA IN HIS FINGER THAN STARMER HAS IN HIS BODY
|
|
By:
The Kemi brand is in the premier league compared to any of the others.
Jenrick has silver spoon level connections. The rest are also rans. If Kemi gets to the public vote, I think her brand dominance will win it, if she doesn't, it'll be Jenrick. |
|
By:
Brand Kemi wants to take social care back to the 1930s
That might appeal to the blue rinse brigade but I doubt it'll be enough to return her party to government |
|
By:
Kemi is a Liz Truss/Krazy Kwarteng clone. Members might like her but the public won't. Although she is easily most similar to Farage who is Truss on steroids, and a Tory/Reform merger is prolly the way to victory at the next GE. Be a disaster for the country though imo. I've only laid Tugendhat. He won't make the final 2 and surely gets beat by the other 3 even if he does. I don't think his supporters switch to Kemi, which prolly sees Cleverly make the final 2 at her expense. If Kemi does make the final 2 with Jenrick, she's prolly the fave, so it's a bold move to lay her at these prices.
|
|
By:
If you had a Kemi/Farage ticket, you'd have Farage's charisma and Kemi as the Farage is not a bigot foil. BS beats competence

What did Truss do that you objected the most to ?

Or Kwasi?

Really? Have you completely forgotten about the Johnson, Truss & Sunak governments who had an 80 seat majority yet did absolutely **** all? |

Not really given concerted effort from tory press

Oh, I think free gear has managed that all on his own. That data won't include giving away British territory, more money, and the upcoming punishment budget.

Approval ratings polls are a nonsense.
You have to be a little simple to pay them any heed. |

Unfortunately we'll need to wait for nearly 5 years for the shower of shyte to be obliterated. And it will be 5 long years, judging by the last couple of months.

Press can't keep this up, so won't happen
Along comes attention seeker spaffer to remind us what proper corruption looks like helped by bbclaura and her helping him. Then more farrage riots from unelected corrupt racist, KGB news turns guns on new tory leader All the same, blah blah blah, except of course.... |
