yhtl have you ever been involved is a mass brawl?

When a number of people are trying to cave your face in it's pretty normal to want to smash their heads in.

It makes no difference what colour people happen to be, it's self preservation.

He's a policeman who is trained to subdue and detain.

He should control himself once that is achieved.

He's not there to dish out punishment.

He's not dishing out punishment.

The policeman will not know how his mates are doing and will want the guy he is dealing with completely immobilized as fast as possible.

Until you have been in a mass brawl you can't know the fear and instinct that takes over.

laugh has absolutely no idea how armed police are trained in England to deal with a lethal threat when outnumbered. in multiple other countries, the thugs battering female cops would have been permanently neutralised.

the story was quickly dropped from the legacy media once the footage was finally released, wonder why that was.

I don't know. Nobody on here does. So I can't tell you whether it was within the guidance in such extreme circumstances. I can guess that most options are on the table to avoid using the gun on perps. We do know however that battering police officers is extreme criminality, much easier to pass a confident judgement on.

I can understand why the police officer lost his professional etiquette but it was wrong, and no excuse. Nevertheless, I'd have done the same given what the scumbag did to his female colleague; if you cannot take the punishment (rightly or wrongly) do not commit the crime.

If the scumbags had only listened and obeyed the police officer there would have been no incident at the airport concourse, correct? I think these two scumbags got off lightly. Any other country eg Pakistan, China, Singapore, India, Thailand, Hong Kong or Taiwan these two scumbags will probably have received more than a couple of kicks to head eg hit with a rattan, truncheon, sticks or metal rods to the head and body into submission or until unconscious.

I think this Pakistani family should shoulder more responsibility eg instill an upbringing to respect officers of the law and behave in public. What that scumbag did to the female officer is a reflection of the lack of respect this community has to women in general.

I know how police are trained.

That's why he is under suspension

I get your point nobby, but I disagree.

I've said before he might just have got away with kick to head

But the stamp afterwards is simple brutality.

We'll see what the CPS, the courts & the police complaints commission say.

My nephew had his left foot run over by a bus when trying to board as the bus was departing. My nephew was drunk at the time.

His family accepted had he not been drunk the accident would not have happened. There was no pursuance of compensation; there was embarrassment on the part of his family. It could have been much worse eg his head run over.

CPS? Consult Sir Starmer. He'd be useful for once.

No way in the world will the cop be exonerated, he will be sacrificed.

There would be an element of contributory negligence
to consider when being run over by a bus when drunk.

He'd also likely make a poor witness if not remembering much.

Buses shouldn't run over drunks all the same.

Much would depend upon what stage of closure the door was
at, and the drivers actions in pulling away if the
door was still open.

All of this would be recorded on CCTV.

Copper is on film kicking someone who was incapacitated on the ground and then following that up with stamping on his head.

There's no way the higher ups at GMP can allow him to go back on the beat. It'd be the kind of decision that would cost the jobs of those in the hot seats. Copper might be the best, the fairest and the nicest of them all but you can't put the uniform on and then be caught doing that. Very unfortunate that it may have just been a moment of madness and he was understandbly pissed off after seeing himself and three colleagues battered so badly (could have been a lot worse if one of the perps decided to take the gun) but you can't stamp on a suspect on the ground and get away with it. Only question is how the price hepays will be.

If you've never been in a mass brawl you can have no concept of the fear ad primeval self preservation instincts that kick in.

The policeman will still be a policeman when all this is over.

Anything less than 4 years for the yobs who started it will be a disgrace.

Hopefully the YOB who started it will get LIFE (doubt it though)

The yobs who started this will never get life because they are from the ethnic minority group that the Labour Party gets their votes from. But, this ethnic group bleats every time whenever there's a perceived police transgression into their behaviour or way of life.

They won't get life because no-one would ever get life for just hitting a copper.

Jesus, no wonder it's so easy for idiots to be wound up into a race war. ffs.

If the police intervened in a mass brawl then they should have spoken to
Nobby first, he would have told them how dangerous
it could be.

Doubtless their brief will be running defence of having
been in mass brawl if charged for assaulting plods.

I never bothered watching the latest press conference (under new management one)

There was something I watched that referred to is where the new lawyer was asked 2 questions.

Is it correct that when asked how the brain cyst is he replied something on the lines of they were still looking for it?
And apparently some contrition was shown by those who assaulted coppers and the press asked what were they apologising for and he wouldn’t answer?
