OK though to spend 10s of millions investigating where Boris ate his birthday cake ?
Hello man, would you like to meet this tonne of straw I've found....... I've not been following this Rayner stuff and don't much like her or Starmer but just caught up a bit and by god the right wing meeja are desperate aren't they? So first off its cos she made money on a council house sale - what the **** is one supposed to do when one sells their council house they've bought? It goes against the continued tory banging on about the 'most successful policy ever' - only if it turns you into a tory it seems. That didn't stick so now it's some vague thing on electoral law that can't be punished even if she did something obviously illegal and a low grade tax investigation normally carried out by 1 of the 4 tax inspectors left. 12, thats TWELVE police are on this. Shock of shocks, politician has a bit of a complicated domestic arrangement that ordianry people have. Desperate stuff it really is. |

It's very simple - Why does Angela Rayner feel that her and her husband are entitled to two tax exempt private residences when every other married couple in the land is only entitled to one ?
She has the answers apparently , but for some strange reasons she'd rather endure the political flak than reveal those. The offence may be minor , the cover up not so. It's not going away. Come on Angela clear it up - pay what you owe and move on. |

Ms Rayner is facing scrutiny over whether she or her husband paid the right amount of capital gains tax when two properties they owned simultaneously during their marriage were sold; whether she broke electoral law by registering the wrong address as her permanent address; and whether a single person’s discount on council tax was wrongly claimed at one of the properties.
Deary Me Ange, What a Tangled web you have Woven , Stockport council and the police are understood to be reviewing whether Ms Rayner claimed a single person’s council tax discount on her former house on Vicarage Road while allowing her brother to live there. If her brother was living at the property with her, as she claims, she would not have been eligible for the discount because there can only be one adult resident in the property. It also raises the question of whether Mr Rayner was claiming the discount at his Lowndes Lane home, to which he would not have been entitled if Ms Rayner was living there with him. It appears to have all Gone Sideways Ange ![]() |

Police are set to interview Angela Rayner under caution over the sale of her council house, according to reports.
The deputy leader of the Labour Party has come under fire in recent months over claims she failed to pay capital gains tax when she sold her home, a former council property bought under the right-to-buy scheme. |

there is a statute of limitations with regards to the representation of the people act (voter fraud) and the revenue only go back six years, she was outside both of these. the tory mp who made the complaint couldnt even say what law had been broken, she should never have been investigated by the police. no doubt the alt right, post truth weirdo fringe will see some kind of conspiracy here but that is how it is. badenoch has admitted hacking and altering the website of a labour mp but there is zero chance of her facing a trial for her crimes as they were a long time ago.

the point about her hypocrisy is not entirely misplaced i think, she has called for her opponents to step aside based on accusations alone rather than outcomes of investigations.

High interest rates are good for savers - it's not that difficult to see why is it ? |

..on the sale of her former council house ? Simple - it's one sheet of paper. She says it's all above board - well what's the problem then ? The only conclusion that we can reach is that she has something to hide. All above board and nothing to hide, police investigated and aren't interest. Apparently you still want to drag it on for some reason. |

These sort of threads are great. Keep the story the same but switch the party of the accused and everyone takes the opposite opinion. Hilarous.
|
|
By:
Switch the sides and you get Doris and co guilty and charged then you get Starmer and Rayner found not guilty. The latter two both offered to resign if found guilty, the former just lied all the way. That should tell you something.
