Had the MPs put Kemi through against Truss instead of Sunak it is very likely she would have won.

It looks very tough to win for Sunak but if you are up against elderly white racists that control the party leadership, what can he do?My goodness, how did he ever become Chancellor? How did Priti Patel become Home secretary? How did Kwasi Kwarteng become Secretary for Business, Energy, and industrial strategy with all those elderly white racists controlling the party leadership?

The elderly white racists didn't pick them.

When Boris was forming his cabinet the only proviso was you were a rabid Brexiteer. If Rishi had been blue with pink spots he would have got a job.

I think Mr Sunak would make a bad PM. He's so out of touch with reality and society. His latest assertion the next generation will be saddled with Covid bill if tax cuts are initiated now is so ridiculous it borders on stupidity and desperation.

Who've been supporting the younger/next generation? Who've been providing free NHS and free higher education? Who've made these possible? The forebears of the younger/next generation.

How did Mr Sunak become Chancellor? For doing something his predecessor would not agree to ie dissociate himself from or sack his Treasury advisors/staff. But, Mr Sunak being Mr Sunak feathering his own nest has always been his top priority; his sudden resignation was no coincidence - it was timely and calculated.

Can anyone name me a Tory MP, within a million miles of the levers of power, who is even remotely in touch with reality or society.

The most significant element of the plan is the introduction of regional pay boards, which she said would “tailor pay to the cost of living where civil servants actually work”. She claimed this would save up to £8.8bn.

Experts questioned whether the savings were feasible. Alex Thomas, programme director at the Institute for Government, said: “If you’re just talking about civil servants, that is ludicrous; it doesn’t add up at all. The whole [annual] civil service pay bill is around £9bn.”

Ive got a decent green on all bjt Truss

Ive decided to risk the green on her and go for the big green by laying her at short odds right down to a big green on the others

In the hope somehow something happens and shes not the winner

Funny thing is all this is on the next om after bojo so if bojo stays we technically wont be settled for a good while?

Not surprising really.

Sunak is the far better candidate.

It's only his family baggage which is his undoing.

You think the Blue Rinse and Nazi's would elect a brown boy?

That is why they are voting for an idiot like Mavis Riley who doesn't have a scooby and is telling whatever lies she thinks the Blue Risne want to hear.

We had a LIAR as Prime Minister now we are going to have a clueless puppet of the Swivel Eyed loons!

God helps us!

Who gives a feck about his wife's tax status?

Ministers giving tax payer funded contracts to their pub landlord and we are outraged that his wife legally uses her non dom status to pay less tax?

Get real wes!

Mavis is the most outstanding candidate? The best the Tories can do?

Are you freal wes?

Of all the people who think it is ok to dodge tax it is the Tories!

You think cos his wife has legally avoided paying tax the Blue Rinse and Nazi's think he is not fit to be Prime Minister and Mavis " I don't really know " is a better candidate?

Look at her last **** up. Levelling down! and her people are lying about it today but Sunak's wife is the deal breaker?

You are on drugs if you really believe that!

They are also in the business of winning elections WD.

Admittedly, Truss ain't exactly a vote winner herself but Sunak & his billionaire tax dodging wife aren't particularly relatable.

If Sunak had a more humble family story, he'd walk it.

You think Mavis is capable of running a cabinet without the Swivel Eyed Loons let alone win a General Election?

First of all Mrs Sunak broke no laws. The Prime Minister and his Henchman Cummings did and you think that Sunak's wife has anything to do with this?

Come on wes!

The market was fooled by a dodgy looking poll commissioned by the Truss campaign giving her just a 5 point lead. YouGov have just released their latest poll.

Truss - 60%
Sunak - 26%
Undecided/won’t vote - 14%

Mr Sunak is toast. Even his former boss and friend Sajid Javid is backing Ms Truss. I think it's only decent and correct thing to do if Mr Sunak withdraws his candidacy to become PM.
