Either Sunak gave some of his votes to Mordaunt, or Sunak's progress is looking less than impressive.

yes I suspect they lent votes to Penny and Truss to see off Kemi.

if that's the plot then they will now have to work out how many to give to Penny alone.

it seems highly unlikely Tus's backers went with Truss, as the raw numbers might suggest.

Are we expected to believe that 15 Tug supporters went with Truss and only 3 to rich Rishi ?

Tug and Truss are on complete opposite wings of the party. tug hates Boris and Truss loves him.

Very odd

It was all about getting rid of Kemi and getting control. Now they have got rid of Boris last thing they wanted was another person questioning their plan.

cider,

Maybe the Tug voters considered Rishi's place in the top 2 a done deal & concerned themselves more about the 2nd spot?

Potentially, but not backing Truss instead.

When: 19 Jul 22 15:50
I can't think of any reason why Tug supporters would align with Truss en masse.
By:

When: 19 Jul 22 15:52
I can't see how Mordaunt picks up many of the Kemi votes given how she was pressured to step aside for the other candidate on the right, Truss.

Maybe the Tug peeps don't want Mordaunt's wokery so much.

Nice to be holding the Fav at above 4/1.

Truss was always always going to the final.

If you understood what was going on you understood.

No aftertiming here, and he's I did have Hunt too.

Seeing Liz Truss as favourite to be next PM of the UK is slightly concerning given her performance in debate 1.

There isn't a shadow of doubt in my mind that dark arts are being employed to manipulate the result of this election.

Starmer is the big winner of theis leadership election.

Getting rid of Boris was essential. The fat liar appeals to a lot of people.

Demonising Rishi for the things he did on the orders of Boris was also essential.

Getting Liz in is like all his birthdays and christmases in one.

In less than 2 weeks the Tory party have gone from a winning machine to an old wreck Laugh

There are always dark arts in tory campaigns.

But only down the road will the truth emerge.

so,why do we now have this BS of the leader being chosen by those at large?
why not keep it in house and let the MPs decide?

It's called losing.

Anyone can follow a poll, he can't interpret them, alas.

The MP's should decide and could decide Johnny!

The Queen could also ask somebody to form a Government. This Conservative travesty is a circus and just plain dumb. We are all in deep doo doo

Lol.

Explains why he was so outraged when I was calling out Penny over her pro-trans views & her subsequent flip flop.

Seems to have done for her.

Has anybody got any idea why idiots on here keep complaining about the Tory membership electing the new leader rather than the Tory MPs?

The Labour leader is not selected by the Labour MPs. The Lib Dem leader is not selected by the Lib Dem MPs.

When the membership decide you end up with idiots like Corbyn and Truss.
