johnni, if you had followed this thread, all the polls, electoral college and state forecasts, there was only one possible winner and that was Biden.

How much they made out of that ? |

Nice to see that Betfair used the last even slightly logical exit point. I tried to stay awake to see if anything happens when the California votes come in but fell asleep.
Not happy with Betfair though. What a mess this was. |

Well, that's that sorted. Roll on 2024

There will have been around £224 million of winnings paid out on Biden.
Now, if we make a wild assumption and say that 50% of this will have been offset by trading for individual, we reduce this figure to £112 million, apply 2% commission rate, and you arrive at £2.24 million of income for Betfair. Of course, you'll need to subtract their legal fees for the wonderful advice they received in regard to settling the market. This then turns the market in to a net loser of around £3 million ![]() |

plus defending legal cases, future loss of earnings from regular customers, bad publicity...

Here's where the money was made on Biden in price groupings
[ This image is no longer available. ] So, £49.4M at 1.10 and below, £45.7M between 1.60 and 1.51, £24.2M between 1.50 and 1.41. |

£7,821 traded on Biden at 100, £2,820 at 95, well done to whoever picked that up.
|
|
By:
Nice pickup indeed. I think that was when Biden looked busted after the primaries in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Hilarious how the entire legacy media refuses to report on the parallel electors chosen by 7 state legislatures. This gives Trump a clear electoral win

katie, would you possibly be interested in a bridge I know is for sale?

bETFAIR SHOULD NEVER HAVE PAID OUT. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CHEATED OUT OF THEIR MONEY. THE ELECTORS ARE IN DISPUTE AS THER]Y HAVE SUBMITTED PARALELL VOTES. ONLY THE MSM SAID JOE HAD THOSE VOTES, NOTHING IS OFFICIAL. IT GOES TO THE CONGRESS ON JAN 6TH. ANYONE WHO LAID BIDEN OR VOTED FOR TRUMP SHOULD OBJECT TO THEIR STANCE IN PAYING OUT AS IT IS NOT AND CONNOT BE DEEMED OFFICIAL

This jrw (the tweet) seemed to indeed have several recent 4-number undisclosed bets (AUD) on Trump. How crazy is this world.

biden traded at big odds on the day but so far not heard of anyone on here that backed him when trump went 1.24. Reckon plenty bailed out of their positions. If you back a 1.4 shot and it's flip flopped it's easy done, the pwopper traders would have made serious cash on the night.Prob more trump initial backers made money on the night than biden initial backers, they prob came out the worst imvho.

50% is far too low, imo. Eg, my total winnings on this market came to about 0.3% of my total bets, and from watching the market closely for months, it's pretty evident that I was far from the only person doing what I was doing. I would imagine PC payments from this market will be many multiples of straight commission. |
