That looks good value to me given the opposition. Biden is a no mark IMHO. Sensible replies welcome.

Fifty Five million already placed on this event. Most by traders but I can see it reaching the one hundred million mark.

Apologies, I couldn't see the wood for the trees. That said, come November, if Trump is odds against I'll be having a punt on him. It's not about who you like in politics that counts as most will know.

The way I see it is that Binden, being spineless wont attract the votes he needs to get over the line.

Calling him Binden indicates that you will be punting on what you like and/or dislike in politics.

Maybe listen to your own advice.

Comical on this forum the way everyone thinks the best bet is to oppose someone they loathe, then lecture other people on not betting on what you want to happen.

Trump's price is horrific given the polls. It's only on the basis that there's going to be some bounce that seems complete fantasy at this point. Trump is fighting on too many different grounds and pardon the pun has lost his Trump cards of saying hey look at the strong economy. The only card he has left is the obvious voter suppression that is going to come, but it won't be enough and he will be well beaten, then likely we'll the get the circus of him moaning it was fixed. Trump wishes he had Lukashenko's counters.

Even for people who think he will win, 2.6 is a terrible price to back because it will go higher

It's self-evident that one attraction of the exchange is the ability to trade and regardless of who will win one should keep in mind what the trading range might be during the run-up.
Is Biden's current low of 1.61 likely to be breached soon or might his price be nearer to evens as election time draws near? Even if you want to hold a position to the death you should be looking to get the best price you can.

Biden's big play is to attack Trump on the 'China Virus'.

The big issue for Biden there is that the Democrat run states have done so badly compared to the red states.

Places like Florida and Texas now have falling cases whereas California is on the up. New York was handled in an awful manner.

The Democrats holding up financial relief efforts to make Trump look bad is also not a good play.

I would not underestimate the silent majority of hard working Americans.

The leftist wing globalist university diversity types can always get a crowd on the street but they struggle at the ballot box.

Look at the UK with all the remainer matches compared to a tiny pro-Brexit one. But when it came to the crunch the silent majority gave Boris a 80 seat majority.

things that go badly in states with Dem leadership = ONLY Dems fault
things that go badly on the whole in the country = not POTUS fault

it's a bit like the trick the Tories played by presiding over 10 years of leadership and then helping to point the blame in red wall seats to (what often probably are, bad) Labour councils only

There's been an overcorrection on politics markets following 2016 US election and 2017 General Election.

there was a weird drift on the Tories in 2019 on Election Day based on a tiny bit of Twitter hype. reality was and all polling showed that they were always ahead and the landslide polling was actually correct

Folks seem to have forgotten that at the ballot box in the 2018 US midterm elections the republicans took a hammering as the polls said they would.

I think 2.6 is a good price to back Chump. Not saying it might not go higher as he keeps fceking up but this is going to be a knife fight. Harris is a good pick because she will tear both Chump and Ponce a new one and will run rings round them but at the end of the day it is tribal and the nearer the time comes the stronger your tribe calls for you. Don't forget Chump has got 2 Supreme Court Judges. He ought to be thanked by the God Squad and so called Conservatives.

The Harris announcement only moved Biden by a couple of ticks, she is in the price.
A weak candidate and a strong deputy is an odd combination, shouldn't it be the other way about?
It will be interesting to see how the prices move at the convention.
I don't know who will win and my Betfair bank doesn't care. Makes a change to trading the draw on Test matches eh WD and fatslogger? The same principles apply.

Why wouldn't it? From now on they are a packaged product to sell to the public, any strength or weakness in one affects the whole.

What is thing suggested that Harris is 'strong'?

She is a politician that changes policy and beliefs just to gain power.

Biden goes from someone who was pro-segregation in schools to doing more for minorities than anyone in her opinion.

She wants to ban health insurance now seems in favour of it.

She fought for the death penalty in cases I believe but now says she is against it.

She may have drawn up anti-drug laws whilst taking drugs?

She got less than a handful of primary votes. The voters rejected her.

They are more important when one candidate is 78 and the other is 74.

In this instance, many believe that because Biden's brain is mush that you are voting for someone who will be President at some point.

I think that this is probably only an issue thought about by the very politically invested and it won't be thought about by the average person

agreed. Harris could be President within 4 years. I mean I thought Chump would have been off'd by the GOP Suits and the Federales by now with a stroke but I can see a Biden Cabinet sitting down to discuss the Constitution and sending him to a Florida Care Home.

you have no grounds to complain on these issues when you support the LAW AND ORDER candidate

There is good law and order and bad law and order.

If it is true that Harris drew up anti-drugs laws that cost a disproportionate number minorities their freedom whilst on drugs that aint great.

is kinda funny because Biden's resurgence (other than the Dem establishment and all candidates but Warren rallying around) is supposed to be because of his strong performance with black voters.

therefore she shouldn't be needed to shore up the black vote if that is the thinking. if the idea was to try and appeal to "BLM" types, her prosecutorial past doesn't do her much good. she represents a state the Dems will never lose again

the Republicans have done nothing to challenge the status quo that yes, many Dem politicians have engaged in on these issues. both parties are incredibly bad, it's why it has always been laughable to tie radical activism to the Dems and/or Biden

Now that's a thought. Maybe many Republican voters don't like Pence because of his christian thou shalt not kill, it's in the bible views.

A two women ticket might have been even better for the Dems.

Biden had a majority of roughly 60-40 Women and 90-10 Black before the VP announcement. Don't think it will affect voting intention by much.
