Well at 4pm on a cold February Thursday afternoon she is posting nonsense on a gambling website forum. She must be either off sick, on annual leave, or on flexi-leave. Surely she is too vital to the service of the public to be wasting office time. |

Im still not convinced councils need PR dept. No justification for them at all, and to pay one of their staff 80k, im shocked at these figures, what a waste of money.

I'm simmering a little still about this ( Karla does get under your skin with the crowing, the unimportant salary that puts others in poverty officially etc ) but on reflection I have to say good decision six gun.

I think it was the listing of Karla's boss that six gun objected to. I have to agree with him, despite my disdain for Karla.
Despite all this excitement, it would still be nice to get an answer to the question. It's been 3 weeks waiting now!  |

Karla - why do you consider it necessary and a good use of taxpayer money for councils to "get their message out"? Why don't they either increase spending on their services instead or reduce the council tax bill? |

 As soon as I saw names and an address on the thread I felt uncomfortable. If I were Karla's boss I would not appreciate being put up on a gambling site's forum and I very much doubt Betfair would appreciate it either. This is one of the situations were companies can get sued, the thread or even the forum can get closed and people can get banned. We have a good bit on fun on here and it should be fun. If anyone is so motivated to complain that council working time is being wasted on this forum you don't need to post details and make this a public witch hunt. You can send the information through the forum private messaging system. I very much doubt you could access Betfair through council computer systems. Firm's systems of any size usually block access to gambling sites. Do you actually want to lose Karla from the forum? I think it is a love hate relationship and you would miss her not being here. |

I was watching Sky News late on last night. Some newspaper editor type commenting with the reader.
Seems he lived in Camdon. Said the council has 10 and a half climate change officers. Did a Goggle - they have their own website - they are EU funded. http://www.betterclimateforcamden.org What is this? Just another example of spineless Cameron talking tough but doing nothing about these council drains on the public purse. This plundering of the public purse by council employees whose jobs are not really needed will be going on up and down the country as libraries and facilities are closed.
Councils are run primarily for the benefit and self enrichment of their employees. It disgusts me. |
