As its dollar rebuy this week I'll talk some rubbish in first hour but with no footie on my talk may be poker related. If still in after 2 hours you can help me work out which of the elderly residents of Midsomer Murders is the killer this week. I'm still trying to work out why they just leave the local coppers sorting it out. It's got to be at least a coin flip with all those murders and just a small number of villagers on which one did it each week. Anyway John a couple more questions. Will there be more runners with an 8pm start? Will the tourney finish before Inspector Barnaby works out who did it? (round about midnight) |

You guys are quite funny. I will answer all the posted below questions on tomorrow nights show. But wait...there is more!!
We will have our first ever guest appearance on the show! Quite a few people are in London at the moment for the EPT so it I am hoping we will have ex betfair sponsored pro, Sorel Mizzi on tomorrow evening. I am SURE you guys will have millions of questions for him but please remember that there is only limited time and he truly is one of the top 5 tournament players in the world, so although you can ask a myriad of silly questions which I will find entertaining; poker tournament questions would be advisable! Also tomorrow night, as it will be my last show before I head off for the WSOPE it will be longer than normal and I am going to talk about Betfairs latest project, a joint venture with BadBeat. Its a piece of software called MyGame and its actually pretty good. You play poker as normal, it then rates your game in various areas. It quickly spots leaks and recommends certain short instructional videos. In your audio broadcast last week John, you touched on the use of poker HUD software. I also recall from a previous broadcast that your interest in poker stemmed partly from playing chess, so my question is: In the foreseeable future, do you envisage the development of computer poker player software that can consistently beat top poker players, as has happened with chess in recent years, or are the two games sufficiently different to make a poker version of say X3D Fritz (beat Kasparov in 2003) unrealistic. If such a computer poker player was developed, it would obviously have profound implications for the online game. Good luck to you and Sorel in the WSOPE. Thanks. |

I missed wednesdays broadcast but I have read the other thread "my games poker education"
I am now left thinking If we DON'T subscribe to this that we wont know whats being talked about in the broadcast I dont see the point of looking back studying hands, When it looks like I've been completly ripped off. And this also takes players away from the table No matter how you study the game, It wont stop the software putting us out of games |
