Theres actually one more week to go in the competition, although the name of next weeks game is still to be announced. KAIG has already won first prize, but all the other prizes are up for grabs.

Its blue, Klup :) tought last week was final round , in the promo page is written on 26.10 the deep stack is the last one. Bad news for me if really one more round ...i flight for germany same day i think and not sure can play it ...however what format will it be? holdem rebuy ? omaha ?

Another betfair mistake in a competition.
As 'somebody' says the 'Dixon League Tournament schedule' lists the 26th October as the last one, but earlier is says the 2nd November. This lead 'somebody' to think that he had won something  . I think that betfair should give him and others affected some recompense  Perhaps we should start a competition to see whether betfair can go a month without making an error or disconnecting us, and we then give THEM a prize  |

The tournament dates were revised and I understood that there was another week to play. I believe Helmuthian folds is the very person that brought this to the attention of Betfair and the forum no? |

So, betfair revised the dates, but did not tell anyone or alter the dates on the header of this thread
 I think they should give 'somebody' the second prize, because obviously they have money to burn after donating $10,000 to the freerollers in that stupid 4000 runner event. |

As KAIG did so well perhaps we ought to let him choose? Or let blue choose. I thought there was a game on 2nd Nov - the final round - they just hadn't decided. Probably earlier on this long thread. We already have had surprise different start time. As it was going to be close to guy fawkes night - perhaps the return of the exploding knockouts? |

we are of course assuming that 2nd to 5th will be affected by any outcome of the next game.
my very honest view is, the games were declared and the 7 of them should stick with no 8th game. I always thought there was one next week, but i can totally see why anyone in the money (most realistically 2nd placed player) would feel aggrieved if an 8th game is played. |

I gotta say I also would have been happy for the result to stand as it is, It originally said 7 games so morally an 8th game WOULDN'T feel right Also happy to play an 8th game, But IF I placed on the overall leaderboard I dont think it would be fair to others that already assumed they've won / Placed |

Reading ability seems to be a bit limited. I thought better of those that considered otherwise.
But basically at the top of original post it says 4 leagues each running 2 months and first from Sept 14th-Nov 2nd. This does not look like a revision of dates - it is the orignal post. Yes the schedule has only 7 weeks on and BF may take a week to add up the scores normally. Fortunately we have had BFPRMgr looking after us, and subs when John not around. But 7 weeks is not 2 months. And how does that get over the fact that it says the league ends on 2nd Nov. I just thought they had not decided on the last one from one of the other threads, and going to give us a surprise. Morally it does not feel right to deprive those just off the leaderboard the chance to get on it either. Even though I've made it quite clear that I'd rather not watch the gooners. And thanks KAIG for winning that one. Or deprive those expecting a friendly game with added value next wednesday - particularly while they are watching footie and midsomer murders. As for bringing 1 back an hour later than advertised and not sending text alerts, and 1 tourney crash. We have had apologies for that. I do sympathise slightly with those thinking they have won, as no 2nd Nov listed. And you never know that is how it may end up. Then again I did get downgraded on a sit n go leaderboard as did others so say this is standard. As is losing in the last 3 tourneys tonight getting it all in when well ahead. I'm not even going to post those hands - I've just noted 3 more NUTTERS. And John was quite clear there is a game next week, and want us to change browsers so we can all listen to him and take the opportunity to get sponsorship for Movember from the forumites. Sorry if you do not agree with me. I do understand your views, and particularly blue. But I've been clear for a long time that the last game in this league was on 2nd November. Though I probably read it on another thread as we had loads going around asking us views on what games,etc. |

It would cost at most £550 extra to give those who qualify for prizes this week and those next. It may not cost anything if the places remain the same. I think this is should be regarded as betfair's punishment for yet another mistake.

I've got to say that I agree with Nick. Earlier in this thread I asked which game was to be played on 2nd November and that was before last weeks game, not altogether unsuprisingly, I've not had a response.
It is unlikely, but not impossible that blue will be caught for second place. Currently third BG-Fish87 has not played in the last 2 weeks maybe 3 weeks. Most of the others would need to win the tournament and get the bounty to overtake him. At worst he will only slip one place down the leaderboard. The way KAIG is mopping up, he will probably win again anyway. I think the final week should go ahead, but the final decision will be made by BFPRMgr, and I am happy to comply with whatever he decides. |

Not sure its a mistake. Pretty clear that is was said sometime ago somewhere that they had not decided on format for the last week. Not the type of thing that I would remember. Sure BF PRMgr will sort out.
Excellent promotion and more like the old community games. Would recommend them to anyone. |

All the posts regarding the fact that the 'last' game had been discussed on this thread are missing the point. Reading over 200 posts is not in the terms and conditions of this competition. What is in the terms is the following schedule, which clearly states that the 26th is the final tourney.

I would love to play on the community game but it would be easy to know who I was, as there are so few who play, and as I get enough abuse on this forum I do not want it when I play as well. You were supposed to be our ambassador to betfair, but all you seem to do nowadays is defend them when they make mistakes. I play on betfair, both gambling and poker, so that gives me the right to criticise. Unlike you and others with associations to betfair or employed by them, who always are quick to their defence or ignore their shortcomings. I sometimes think that I am the only one on the poker forum who is not employed by betfair in some capacity, or have met them and enjoyed betfair's hospitality so they do not want to rock the boat and forfeit any future invites. |

If you aren't on the leaderboard annie, or likely to be, then like quack says, please stop demanding apologies and money for people who are, or generally intefering with something that doesn't involve you.
For the record, I'm not defending them, I havent said anything in relation to whether there is an extra game or not, for the simple reason it doesn't involve me, and it should be down to those who are involved to express an opinion and to try and form a consensus. I have been critical of some aspects of the Community Game, in relation to start/finish times, blind levels, reintroducing some added prize money each week, etc, but that criticism has been constructive, which is actually harder to do, than simply trawling the forums looking for something else to moan about. Most of us are trying to develop this into a decent weekly game, which is more about playing social poker and interacting with like minded people, than about winning money, hence the low buy in. It doesn't help when people sit on the sidelines, refusing to take part, but continually ripping the thing to bits, and making out everyone involved is on Betfairs payroll. |

I don't think i have to read 7 pages with posts to search and find is any rule or date changed or not. The reason i wrote at all was i tought its finished and asked about the payouts. I think the main promo page should be the place for the official info, where anybody can see the rules and the schedule (which says last tourney is on 26th). Even wonder why the f. they dont update the league table in the main promo page! Even in the begining there was post only for the league table, then began post it here, now new tournament should be played....total mess...as anything else here.
OFTOPIC: I was super regular in the old betfair platform and big fan of it. Before moth i decide to try in this one - for first time i have such a swing 20 buy ins under the EV on 50 nl! I didnt belive on the writings its riged, but WTF is going on here, is it so typical for ongame as i read or could be just a sick variance?!?! |

It is difficult not to be rude to you as you just bring negativity to the table and nothing else. You have admitted you don't even play the community game (although maybe you are KeithAisGay) and yet you demand apologies and clarity off betfair for something that you are not involved with and doesn't concern you. You are just moaning and complaining for the sake of it, you offer nothing positive or constructive and from now on I have blocked you so I wont have to read the negative drivel that you post. I suggest everyone else does the same because people reacting and replying gives Annie the attention she so obviously craves and probably lacks elsewhere in her life! |

Annie ... do you seriously think we actually care who you are? You could be the queen of England, my favourite smurf or gargamel and it would make no difference to me or 99.99% of forumites.
The extra game or missing game is an oversight. Human error, in a community event with excellent added value. The community game is so TOTALLY a loss leader. There is no profit to be made by Betfair. It is a good will gesture and they have managed to get KunkuWap to host and support this event, which speaks volumes about how much goodwill is being invested. It was given to the forum entirely in the right spirit - to a bunch of players who like to play a game of poker in a social environment which obviously does not suit you. So don't come here to spoil it for us. As others have said, you dont want to be involved, so dont stick your nose in it and for the benefit of all regular community game players - take your whinging elsewhere And oh - yes - we DO KNOW you play iPoker, you've told us before Z to the Nth times and if you allow me, can let you in on a little secret whispering klup leans towards annie's ear and adds: so do I, but I much prefer Betfair! |

This will be the first time we have had a quiz so we are more than happy to receive feedback after its first run.
