1 - I have played approx 130k hands since I have started PLO 2-3 months ago and am currently down 30k and my ev is +30k. (i can get open HM and get exact stats for anyone who wants). Ive played majority @ $5-$5 PLO, $500 buyin where im down around 40 buyins under EV...but this doesn't paint the whole picture as it only looks at hands once your all in. Not the surrounding scenario, as it simply cannot calculate that. I'm officially 80 buyins under EV but I would suspect the real number is around 120...but we ALL think we are running worse than we are. That is poker.

Now, I have spoken with quite a few good PLO players at various limits from 0.5-1 pros to nosebleeds and looked at various styles and stats. I'm still at the learning stage (obviously) but from what I know, unless you are a VERY competent player and your tables are passive, your stats are slightly too loose. The top winning, agg players have your stats...BoobieSmiles for example on Stars had agg stats like that, but not sure if he was able to maintain it. I think nowadays for normal games 35/30 is prob the top end you want to be...and that is still very agg.

Generally you don't want to be calling too much unless you are much deeper ofc. You want to be controlling pots and taking them down w/o showdowns. Thats how you decrease variance and increase winrate w/o SD.

Your 3b @ 13% seems high but fine as long as most of it is from button and in the blinds v late position steals.

So, overall, everything seems good and your bit of variance over 700 hands is nothing. I've been reading up on it and some people have had up to 200 buyin swings.

I am currently going through the grossest swing I've ever had (primarily because NLHE doesn't have swings like this, especially if you are a competent agg player) and its been well over 100k hands. A lot of this is inexperience on my behalf and bad plays too.

Will be interesting to see how the next few hundred thousand hands turn out. If I haven't gone potty that is.
