remember the 'arbboy theory' it has a strong relevance here.

Ladycarla has played 10k games at an averagestake $8 which is an average of 80c rake. This means he has caked $8k and if on a cakey deal of 30% he has received $2400 and is actually over $2k up!!!

Admittedly it means he would still earn a worse hourly rate than an Indian peasant boy working in a Nike sweatshop!

15Stone10Lbs, you're a very bad judge of character. No I am not a mug, and Yes I believe in Positive mental attitude because it works. 8 years ago I had nothng but I believed in myself and a 5k loan and a 110 hour working week enabled to build a highly successful internet company worth a lot more than you could even idream of seeing in your lifetime, unless of course you develop a positive mental attitude. These are not just words, this is reality, So next time you go around labling someone a mug because they choose to be nice to others and want to see them succeed, do yourself a favour and keep your mouth shut because right now the only one that looks like a mug here is you and those other losers who are constantly looking for bad in everyone else. FYI, Im as sharp as a needle and a better person that you, because I rather see the good side of people and spend my time being nice rather than nasty. And next time you address me you dont need to take the p1ss out of my forum name, you can write so obviously you can read. Please ensure thatyou address me properly and respectfully in future if you wish to talk to me. Have a beautiful day.

Done all my fpps. But span up my $18 share into enough for some beer this weekend. Cheers stakers, maybe again in the future without all the retards giving it large on the keyboard. If any of you spanners want to sort out your differences toe to toe that is more than cool with me. Gracias

Ben,

little input from me, just a couple of thoughts really:

1) you had no problems getting staked this time, thats good, you should try it again soon.

2) if/when you do get staked, dont record things on this forum, start a blog or something, but cmon man, this place isnt going to do your mindset any good as it is open to one and all, and as soon as you put a single thing down about not winning at 4 gazzilion ROI the sniping starts, so keep it private. i'm sure if you do someone over, not that you would, but IF you did, then it would become known all round

3) perhaps you could give it a break for 6 months, get a job, there are plenty out there, earn a roll and try playing part time.

just some thoughts mate, for me, well, i've decided not to deposit online again for a while, just going to play live once a month and concentrate on freerolls and spinning up any cake i get/am owed

using my time to sort out my cars, save for a house deposit, and spend some QT with my wife and kids, think taking the break will do me good, maye you should try it

get a job, there are plenty out there

yes with 100 applicants each

i think the job market is picking up, the company i work for are recruiting heavily at the moment and are struggling to fill vacancies, tho i guess it depends where you live and what you are prepared to do.

to be honest most stt grinders have a job and play part time to supplement their salaries. when you have a wage coming in theres a lot less pressure to get results.

if you have anything about you its not hard to make $600-$700 a month playing at low stakes 15-20 hours per week, and if you keep your discipline you can put a decent bankroll together within 12 months.

whatever you choose to do good luck with it.

but are they recruiting people with big gaps on their cvs

cos i'm told, nearly all of them go straight in the bin
By:

the call centre side of our business is recruiting for talk talk at the moment. gaps in a cv wouldnt be an issue, as long as he was able to communicate well, and has a basic understanding of tech support.

the work would be boring and it wouldnt be well paid, but its indoors and you would be working with a lot of young attractive people.

obviously with big gaps in a cv you arent gonna walk into a 30k job. :-)

talk talk is more to do with broadband, and as long as you have a basic understanding of computers the rest is covered in training.

we are talking 7 quid an hour jobs here that most kids in sixth form/at uni can pick up in 2 weeks, its not rocket science as its only 1st line support. anything too technical gets passed on.

most call centre work is boring and badly paid and the people running them know that turnover will be high, which is why its pretty easy to get into even with gaps in your cv.

bf customer service being a pretty obvious example. sometimes you get through to a moron sometimes you get through to someone helpful.
By:
canaryboy
When: 07 Jan 10 09:38
ah yeah but there are plenty of morons without gaps on their cvs

indeed a large proportion of the population is moronic
By:

When: 07 Jan 10 09:59
with a lot of call centres as long as you show up with your shoelaces tied and the ability to spell your own name correctly theres a good chance they will give you the benefit of the doubt.

the training normally amounts to you being handed a script to read from, and taught how to put someone on hold. :-)

Had about 30 unsuccessful applications for what its worth in the last 3/4 months. I got no worse than average qualifications, obv my work history is chequered but i think the problem is like canary said. 100 applications for each job. I applied for a job with the FA, 12.5k a year fulltime, cracking job though, i thought i was a lock to get it and didn't even get to interview stage.

Not your fault though, poker is a lot more difficult than most people think

so don't blame yourself for not having the gumption to do it.

Think on the bright side... At least you learnt that you don't have what it takes to win at poker.

You can give it up, knowing that you tried and failed, and that at least you tried.

good luck
