Oh just to add to that. If u are going to move to DoNs for a bit.
I would recommend finding an empty forum on here, and starting a thread. Post EVERY exit hand from every DoN u play on the thread. That way u can go back quickly and see if u think u did anything wrong or if u were just up against donk plays. That helped me when I started them instead of trawling through thousands of irrelevant HEM stats. Also by doing this u can ask any DoN regs to check ur exit hands to make sure they are ok. You might have already played thousands in which case ignore everything I have just typed lol. But even so, almost all of the supposedly good regs still make frequent elementary mistakes which is certainly decreasing their winrates (loads of them operate at 1-2% max ROI lol). And its pretty easy to iron out the flaws. gl |

I said you were a million to finish this..I was wrong you are failing already.
Every bad session and you want to change your game to something different. You said 8000 45player $6 SNG Now go and do it. |

mavis would you not say that there are certain types of players who are totally unsuited to d2ns though ? as you rightly state it requires uber discipline and thorough note taking.
personally i think you need a completely different mindset and most people lose money to begin with before they start making it. |

9 tabled 25nlh for a couple of hours, got in 1,009 hands with a 12.17bb/100 winrate. Seems super soft. Ran $12 below EV but wont worry about that as i made a profit.
Starting bank $650 Previous bank $783 Current bank $816 Total stts played - 909 Total cash hands played - 1,009 |

Like I said 1 million to complete it!!!
By:
maybe chip but i reckon ben would be fine at these
way way wayyy easier to tilt at cash innit. and at $10 level I reckon profits = instant. |
By:
I'm wondering whether anyone (not aimed at ben btw) actually works out what their optimum number of tables is? ie what the max winrate is?
i guess it's stake and game dependent too. i know playing $50sngs that I couldn't play them very profitably with more than 4 tables open (i've tried and it's not good poker I'm playing). |
By:
If you're making £2.50 a day playing 40 hours a week then your optimum number of tables is precisely zero.
By:
personally i would suggest he 2 table 60$ d2ns on betfair. i cant see what he has to gain from playing a load of micro stakes stts.
if he is anywhere near as good as people reckon it would be a stroll in the park. |
By:
they dont start fast enough on bf
i have tried |
By:
oh you wrote TWO tabling...
dont think that's ben' style at the mo tbh anyway fk all this bs, I'm off out ITS NEW YEARS EVE BABABABABABABABABABABA |

By:
well if he isnt going to stick to the original game plan then its bollix to variance.
might as well take your shot and make sure you run good. |
By:
Chipfire he is being "staked" therefore he can't just say bollix to it can he?
By:
Good points made. The main thing for me is to make sure there is very little risk to the stakers money
By:
im aware he is being staked, but by playing d2ns and cash he is varying the original terms anyway.
mavis has suggested he play 10 or 20 dollar d2ns, and if he has the relevant mindset that could be a profitable avenue. there were some italians on here playing 60 and 108 d2ns last night who were woefully bad with roi's ranging from -18 to -32. and even arbboy makes a good profit at higher stakes. but yes i accept my suggestion was a bit stupid and encouraging gambling rather than grinding, so apologies for that. |
By:
liked the original plan and was hoping you could stick to it ben as you wouldve proved yourself and met your original targets. the minute you start swapping and changing games you are doomed to fail im afraid.
i almost offered to take a bit myself but you had been bought up by the time i saw the thread. if I had bought a piece i would now be wanting to pull out though because 9 tabling cash even low stakes is not as easy money as stts especially without using HEM HUD etc. if you are going to play cash you need to be on a site with a good**deal imo which will at least cover any losses you may get. now you have taken the jump from stts to cash i fear for the entire roll as its only a matter of time before you swap to omaha have a night of tilt and do the lot in. get back to your original plan and leave the cash alone mate and you know i am speaking from experience of backing you before |
By:
multi tabling cash is way way better
ok you want to be having a good cake deal defo have doubled a £100 roll playing 7-9 tables over xmas and only played 3000 hands |
By:
obviously i don't play omaha tho!

I agree with ariston, there are only 2 changes you should consider:
1. Give up and return the bank to the stakers 2. Focus on 9 seat SNGs - when you did that your bank grew rapidly |
By:
I agree with point 2 above, less variance and more consistent profit, and you did show your biggest upswing when playing the 9/18 player games. Not too keen on the 25nl thing. GL.

Played 47 tourneys since last update. Not really anything to get too excited about. Starting bank $650 Previous bank $816 Current bank $864 Total stts played - 956 Total cash hands played - 1,009 |
