My issues are this, if Ben wanted the £400- im presuming he's on the dole- no-one plays that many $6 stt's an isnt- he could get a budgeting loan an not need to drag the forum further down into a beggers paradise.
He called me a liar. I am telling the truth. He kicked me when i was on the ground- restrained. He's done this so often with so many and theres yet to be a return that ive heard of anyway. A lot of those sharkscope stats he put up he didnt even play all the games. * but essentially its the lookn staking that is just other peoles money to gamble with and calling me a liar- the forum never used to be people begging money of each other- it was banter an poker craic. The other thing im deadly serious about Ben is if you sayn im lying bout what you said. If you addmit it fine- build a bridge get over it- but if you call me a liar again after me swearing on my families life- I swear, i dunno what i'll do- but i'll do somthing- WORD ON THAT. Ive never asked a penny from anyone- anyone- from this forum, I asked Ari once bout 6 months ago- he said he wasnt with em- end of story. 30sec most. ive staked quite a few tho. other thing is, seeing as ur 10x the poker player ill ever be- lets do 40 $10 hu sngs, few at a time, blast thro that in a few/four hours- hey $360 for a few hours works not bad been huh? Just tell ur backers ur 10x the player i am- im sure they will thro money at you to burn. Hey im a limit player- its printinting money! personally id rather play higher than 10, but as its quite the jump from 6- so a wee afternooon of multi-n 40 10's would be grand. I hope this spurs you on to prove everyone wrong an grind out a nice pot of cash for people, I hope you admit the truth and apologise for callig me a liar- especially that you lied to Shaa's face as well- uneal. Belfast people take that ** serious- and rightly so- If Shaa truely believed I was lying about u sayn that, well sure- id be pretty gutted- an you'd be gettn seen too. i hope you play the 40 $10 u games (turbo's 3 at a time) Im in foul fkn form, so dont even try rowing with me- ripping you to bits on a keyboard would take my mind of the symptoms. I do hope you do well- but ffs stop making out ur Doyle Brunson- an imo- find ur own sate. I don't know you, I dont know Ben, but this has been an interesting thread! Well done for giving up the ****, Im certain that there will be times that you struggle with it and it will probably be the hardest battle of your life, but you are getting better and I hope you succeed. You are showing character and strength, and no matter how good or bad your poker may be, it is so unimportant compared to what you are trying to do to turn your life around. I truely wish you good luck, be strong and give yourself a chance of living a long and healthy life. You go back, you die.You know that so I'll say no more on the subject. Good luck. As for Ben, I can't understand why so many people are being so abusive towards him. Again, I dont know him but he's doing something that is important to him, however big or small, and its for him to decide where he wants to take it. We all have choices in life, Ben has found backers for his project and seems to be doing well.Im sure this will give him the confidence and experience to move up to higher levelsin the future, but this is his business and I wish you luck with it Ben. if i was you, i would forget about ben having to say sorry, i expect you have done a lot of thing you are not proud of and just want them forgotten , put it all in the past and just carry on fighting to stay of the drugs, dont worry whats happened before, you wil see things a lot clearer after being clean for a while, i know it must be hard but stick with it and leave ben to do his thing, the staking he has is not much money and i'm sure his backers are not doing it for the money but to help a friend. good luck |

Theres only one way to shut the haters up Ben and thats to do exactly what you said you could do at the begginning of the thread. Just remember your goal when you go on a horrible downswing and keep your head. If you blow up once and do it all in you will just let everybody be able to say 'i told you so'.

I thought id post somthing.
Today has ben rough as fk for me- i didnt sleep till to 10am, house fulla kids, shower in use went for a lash round the back- Da caught me an went mental (hes 3.5 months of smokes after smoking all his life) was right up in my face calling me an animal 'an i wasnt brought up that way'- fkn slash like. I near busted him, tho hes been doing a sht load weights recently, an tho ive been in 20x more rows..................... wtf is this about??????????????? Is this a poker forum??????? Im not gona delete the above- ive had a rough day near came to blows with my Da. Ben- hand on heart I hope u succeed- bethammer put it well when he said theres stuff ive done that im ashamed about- and there is. And i simply wouldnt publicly apologise- so forget that. I think 800 games a day is too many, get a part-time job an do 200/250 a day. Its a marathon not a sprint. I would be certain you would get better results- as long as ur puttin in 5/6/8/9 hrs a night thats the thresehold of optium playing imo. I think you will bring home the bacon on this one. An for all my guff, i dont hate u, ur a cnt- but so are we all to degrees- nature of the beast. I think your backers would be happier with a better return over a slightly longer period (also ur lss likely to tilt if u go stir crazy at a monitor 13/14hrs a day). Oh a thanks Winkle Holland- I never tought it would be this tough. But I will beat it. Like I beat this game, like im gona to hopefully make an effort with the girl im crazy about.
Time will tell tho- an its the moments of weakness your most vunerable. Steel will tho an precautions, like deleting numbers etc. Im 29, 30 very soon, if you run a drug habit past 30- well..... who am I to judge. You're more than welcome and I wish you luck with the girl. Just a small piece of advice from someone who has put in some time to help people with addictions in the past, if you ever feel that you need to talk to someone who will understand, keep the number for Narcotics Anonymous handy, you can always get hold of someone in your weakest moment or you just need a lift. I suggest you even consider going to meetings, you will need some support from time to time and these people know exactly what you are going through. Even if you know you can do it on your own, here's nothing wrong with making your life easier and a little more comfortable and nothing to be ashamed about. A night or two a week, great support structure. Think about it but whatever you do, definately keep the number handy.And get your dad an electronic cigarette!

Marathon this evening. Wanted to get to goldstar before the end of the month. Got there but had a disaster tonight, loading HHs into HEM now to check the EV damage, i suspect its quite high. 102 games played today. If stakers dont mind i would like to move to either 25nl or $10 double or nothings. Please let me know if this is ok, and which one you would prefer. Seems to be an influx of stt grinders at the moment, we all seem to be sharing very little dead money. probably to do with people doing crazy challenges at the moment and grinders trying to copy them.

You need to manually edit the finish position, $ won, and tick the completed box for each of the tourneys. I find it easiest to print off opr results and cross ref. If there is a quicker way I would also like to know.

The $10 DoNs are soft as fk mate, i am back at d2ns again and plan to stay a while after playing them for most of 2009 (altho i am gonna play 50-100s).
Also, the variance is lower cause ur not allin as often. a bad day might mean u break even whereas playing these multi man stts, a bad day will see anyone lose a chunk. There are a few unique spots in the** DoNs that u should know about tho to maximise ur ROI as well. shout me and i can let u know some tips otherwise it will take u longer to adjust to em. I also have thousands of hands worth of stats on loads of regs (even some at $10 level) which i can give u. u can paste them into the notes and it might make the difference between winning and losing a game now and again. For example if folded to u in sb, ur sitting with Q8 or something & all stacks are level. Usually u can raise but if u already know the guy is a horrifically stupid brain dead donk then give them a walk instead...! I found after playing these for a while as well that u can autopilot much easier and therefore can put in even more volume than normal stts. I guess it's cause there is no real 'end', just a series of correct decisions u need to make. TBH by playing $10s in a few days u could/should make a good few hundred $s imo. If u run at 10% ROI (which is highish but achieveable) then u should be playing $20s within a week...! Again I got stats/notes at $20 level. Finally, I taught my bro to play the $20 d2ns within a few days (he was playing lo stakes nl on ipoka before but wanted something with less variance). He can now play em pretty much faultlessly and has made a bit of extra income at $20 level. So what I'm saying is get ur anus to the DoNs! |
