Is the next scheduled upgrade going to be a replacement of the current inept monkeys running the site to an upgrade of funky gibbons?

Everybody is asking for software changes. I bet no matter how many people post regarding the poor software they will insist that most betfair users like the software and it runs well etc. I posted on this forum about how Betfair poker was making my laptop crash and several other members posted about the same problem. I sent an email to betfair concerning the software, my problem and how others are experiencing the same difficulties. The reponse I got illustrated another problem with betfair, they don't appear to listen. I was told several things to do to enable the software to run properly (none of which worked). They then insisted that the problem was isolated, nobody else had the same problem.....even though my email gave examples of others with the same issue. |

lol, TBF i also thought Dibbs meant he couldn't do the math...
i harldy play now anyway but i'll add a bit... the peer to peer transfer can't happen due to laundering issues apparently. easy to work out why when u think that two people could pass each other 100k and withdraw it. they could do caps but that would be unfair to high stake players. p2p will never happen here. the MTT registration that closes a rediculous minute before the game starts has always been pathetic. i mailed in the first time it happend to me and a few times since. i was told that they have been trying to adjust the software to accomodate this but it "isn't that easy" apparently. the easy answer is to start games at 8:01 or 9:01 for me. simple solution for a unecessary problem. people would know what you meant. i appreciate that leaderboards should be cash makers for the site unlike most. why not try making them a ROI based promo but have a threashold that has to be passed. there are many possible combos like low, med, high stake, or low turnover, med turnover, high turnover. or certain game value, 10$ 20$ 50$ etc. people might try and play 100 of each to get more prizes etc. if the average amount of games played was say for example 75 games a month, then make the threshold 100-120 a month or something, get everyone chashing. i hate the software, always have. hate the table size, always have. hate the lobby always have... with BFs cash, surely a clone of a skin could be bought and still be independant. i don't mind the idea of independance, with the right product it has to grow... the reason it hasn't grown much in the last year is it just isn't that appealing. collusion has never bothered me, but it is obv an issue looking above. i do remember being involved in two players called aplay1 and aplay2 or something, two obv colluders, but like i say, didn't really bother me, i went and found them after i was allerted to try and win their cash( i lost lol). it did bother me for a short time that you wouldn't do anything. i'm am sure the DPA isn't applicable here so is being misquoted. this is common in business but is no excuse. H4H near bubble is a must. late entry would be nice. don't think it is that important now tho with such low runners. i really think a MTT should be getting 400-500 plus to validate late entry... people asking for loads of MTTs aren't being realistic. the few entrants a night that are just about here can't be spread about over more games... don't know what the stats would be but know that 400 players over 20 MTTs wouldn't play 40 MTTs with the same frequency. it is unrealistic. more MTTs would come with more traffic. if a D2N can't be closed automatically with three left, can't the blinds be set to increase faster? like5000 straight away or at lext level? this would be almost the same as closing it early. |

Whats happening here please ?

Surely if Betfair are 100% confident that all their KYC policies are in place then there cannot be any issue with money laundering and hence P2P transfers could be allowed?
|
|
By:
culluders don't mind if they eventually get caught because there loads of other sites they can do it at,if all poker sites joined forces to agree that if a player gets banned for cullusion then that player will be banned from all poker sites,.

I'm probably echoing what's been said already, but here goes.
Please implement a 50bb minimum buyin on at least some of the tables at every level. I appreciate that short-stacked players are a significant source of income for Betfair, but why not make the turbo tables 50bb minimum and leave the standard tables as-is. That way you won't lose any business from the short-stackers, but equally players who want to avoid the short-stackers won't be forced to play on a different site. Please**some of the more annoying bugs. Top of the list right now has to be the phantom tournament lobby that pops up intermittently during cash games, which is often so disruptive that I simply stop playing. Also, the waiting list functionality needs a serious overhaul. The "join waiting list for first available table" functionality often removes the player from all waiting lists approximately 1 minute after joining, making it completely unusable. Joining large numbers of tables individually is understandably frustrating, especially since the "leave waiting list for this and other tables" functionality has been inexplicably removed. This latter problem means that many players do not remove themselves from waiting lists at all, resulting in dozens of seats being reserved for players that have no intention of taking them. These "dead" seats must cost Betfair a significant amount in lost revenue every day. Please test new releases properly, delay them if significant bugs are found and pull them if it becomes clear that they were implemented too soon. The "phantom tournament lobby" bug was introduced during the last release and occurs so frequently that any reasonable amount of testing would have found it. From this we must conclude that either insufficent testing was done by your IT department, the bug was covered up by your IT department or your IT department decided that inconveniencing customers was preferable to actually fixing the bug. The removal of the "leave waiting list for this and other tables" functionality occured several releases ago. Since the removal of this functionality served no useful purpose and actually costs Betfair money, it must be assumed that the removal was accidental. It is therefore clear that the regression testing performed on the release in question was either inadequate or nonexistent. Betfair need to have a long hard look at their IT department as they are clearly not peforming to any kind of reasonable standard. Several years ago when Betfair was a much smaller company this slightly amateurish approach to IT would have been understandable. In recent years though Betfair has seen significant growth and development, but unfortunately their IT department has not kept pace. Please take positive action on collusion. Several months ago there was a lot of discussion surrounding a dozen or so new players to the site, all with very similar aliases and all with identical (and very unusual) strategies. Speculation was rife that they were in some way connected; perhaps all part of the same poker school or bot farm. This speculation was substantiated when it was realised that every one of these players changed their geographic location on a regular basis and at exactly the same time as each other - e.g. they would all be based in France for a few days, and then at exactly the same time every single one of them would change and suddenly they would all be based in Germany. From this point onwards there was really no doubt that these players were in some way related, which was of course not a problem apart from the fact that it was possible to find up to three of them sitting together at the same table. This was reported to Betfair several times by different people, but for some reason these players have been allowed to continue playing in this manner. It is ironic that there are automated checks on Betfair to prevent a husband and wife from sitting together at the same table, but a team of organised players are allowed to do this regularly over a period of several months in spite of numerous complaints from the other players. |

1.The stt lobby will continue to be quiet until you add tournys other than rapid/turbo.8/9 minute level poker stt's need to be added at the higher stakes.
2.Weekly leaderboards need to be revamped as the people winning every week are those who have time to play 24/7,this will alienate 95% of your custom.Instead of having +300 +150 -20 etc,the negative points need to be higher. 3.Hand history for the whole tourney you're still playing should be available, not just the last hand. |

some guys called they "the HEPPA Brothers"... What about that Guys??? The cashed out our money or are they banned ??? The Nicks are: HEPPA, HEPPA I, HEPPA II, HEPPA III and HEPPA IV |

By:
you can't mention the HEPPAs or the thread gets deleted. :( I guess mentioning they now play as The Eagle and ReaI could absolutely make sure it is. There is another name I can't recall.
Apparently bf investigated and found nothing wrong according to the heppas. |

By:
"The Eagle and ReaI"
I've noticed that often ReaI will play fairly passively, then when The Eagle Quits, ReaI suddenly starts playing exactly like The Eagle. If you can spot the change over then making the adjustment is OK but if they're at the table before you it takes a while to work out which person is playing on the ReaI account. |

could be that they collude too...
By the way i miss TenderTrap at the tables. Is he playing with new Name? anyone an idea? |

Dump your rubbish software.
I would say before it's too late, but we passed that stage years ago. Slight deviation, dell computers run worse than a two wheeled lada with flats. I feel strongly about dell sending me a lovely turd, or in other words, the display model with more quirks than Gazza, Frank Bruno and Andy Goram put together. Fckin ** dell advert, lollipop, lollipop, worth more than your faulty comps. |

I think its probably to late. But surely if betfair ran their poker like most of the best sites (carbon copy) they could not fail. They have such a hugh market to get from the betting site. I think they waste to much money on stupid promotions. WSOPE i would say has been a failure. I dont think they are going to get that much new customers from doing this and even the ones they get are not going to stay.
I'm a small stakes player. But most good sites with good traffic have decent mtt's with a good structure that start regulary from 6 onwards. A good site caters to all needs. Betfair continue to change and when one thing does not work they try another thing. Most good GTD mtt's i'd say on good sites would at the start have an overlay but not for long and then they increase the GTD as they get bigger. One touni on a good site 10 dollar buyin had 4000 dollar gtd and is now 6000 gtd and is easily filled. |

Many years ago I played almost exclusively on Betfair, it was an allround enjoyable experience. The forum was a hive of opinion, banter and generally drove the site. People took an interest in each other and how they were progressing through the levels. It was SO popular that some bloke just organised a home game out of the blue and it was a huge success. DOOBS continued to put on these games and whilst I never went, I was jealous of those that did, and read the write ups avidly, promising I would one day get along to go and play poker at this bloke's house, whom I had never met...
Then unfortunately for you, you put people in charge who to put it bluntly havent got a clue. MEanwhile some really clever pro's over in AMerica decided to set up a site that would be dedicated to giving the poker player eveything that he or she wanted. F U L L T I L T (POKER STARS as well) is quite simply a different class, and I fail to understand why anyone would ever play on your pi s s poor site ever again. There isnt enough traffic, the choice of games is poor, the multi's are a joke etc etc. The phrase "after the horse has bolted" springs to mind. You remind me of a once "big"football club who has been mismanaged into consecutive relegations, I am not sure that Betfair Poker could even be classified as a Championship club. All the very best in sorting the site out... |

Why is Bruce Stubbs still in charge of this fiasco ? |
|

One Q. How are the people in charge of betfair poker still employed?
And thats a serious Q. |

By:
Thanks Botfair cannot even use my own account to post sad.
Nice to see that Multi Table Torneys on low stakes no value to you Lawyers say u have a presideance Manipulating results for gain Allowing spoof bets to encourage custom Enticing customers to play your casinos etc In Running (well u must of **ed some 1 up the bum 4 that) Do you think you are an expanding innoviative company anymore or just another internet con ? |

The tourney a couple of months ago where a BF pro brought in a hundred or new scandis for free five minutes before the start, how many games/hands have those new players played since and was it worth p1ssing off the regulars who had qualified or paid to enter? 1.01 none of them have been seen since.
|
|
By:
It would be progress if the tourney description could be relied on to describe the tourney it was describing.
Oh and some low stakes MTTs that aren't turbo/super turbo would be nice... used to play them regularly but can't be arsed waiting for them anymore. |
