More of the same yesterday with Lindoro travelling well and moving alongside the leader, trades at 1.5, and then gets outbattled to finish second. That makes my last seven selections 3rd,2nd,3rd,3rd,2nd,2nd and 2nd.

I haven't had a huge amount of time to look at the cards as I am out today hence the early post so just one selection today :-



5.35 Newbury - SPARTAN SPIRIT - 2pts win

As this is an amateur riders race it is probably not wise to get too heavily involved but I understand this jockey has had some success previously so is probably as capable as the others. Spartan Spirit looked very useful when winning on his comeback run at Kempton and then was ridden a bit too confidently when beaten there next time up. The softer ground here will be different but the trainer's horses tend to de well at Southwell which is a deep surface and has some similarity to soft ground. I think it is worth an interest at 4/1 or thereabouts,


Elsewhere 3.40 Bilidn is in unstoppable form and is worth a bet if it trades at odds against (unlikely). 4.55 Like Clockwork ran terribly last time and may go better today.
