muppetmoans I agree Janeth Jepkosgei has a lot going for.  The one caveat I have is that she withdrew from the Paris Diamond league at the beginning of July with a muscle injury.

The Semenya of 2 years ago is unbeatable but she has not shown that level of form since and there are rumours that in order to compete she must take some sort of androgen related medication.

I did say on here after her semi that if she could qulify after running most of the race in lane 3, she had a great chance today and if she had moved out 100 metres earlier, she might well have won.

Thoughts on the javelin chaps? I am thinking of backing a few of the outsiders as you never know on the day. Which ones have a squeak please?

Am I right in thinking that the Betfair liquidity for this world championships is worse than for last year's European championships?

Semenya looked very impressive in the mens 800m. Cant see her losing, must have been running slow all year to boost her odds.

Awesome javelin throwing, reminds me of the old Zelezny/Backley days. Can anyone improve again in the last round? The Russian leader was way behind the throwing line.

What does everyone reckon for the 400m relay? Difficult to see past the big two but third seems pretty open between Belgium, SAF and GB.

how to prevent Semenya in another title?Plain Obviously with his testosteron level he only needs to train hard for 3 weeks to beat all female opposition, what a shame

Sally Pearson's face at the end of that heat! Laugh

Genuine disbelief at running 12.36. Hopes she takes that WR filth off the books.

Any chance of a market for the men's marathon?

Very open race, but I've got a feeling where the money might end up.  Will reveal after I've got on.
