They should clear it and reopen until a decision is amde shouldn't they. You pays your money then so who gets shafted?

So why not open the market back up?

Re. the false start discussion - you cant 'guess the gun' and get a super fast start because yr reaction time has to be at least 0.1 secs (anything less than that is considered to be beyond human reaction time)

By:
If you look at the rules it turns in - play and as far as I can see it is still in play .. or is it? Sure there are wiser than little old me out there.

think its 50/50. really tough one. I was on Rodriguez when she got dq'd in the 1500m at the last WC. That was pretty obvious tbf
By:
Maybe one for the GC. I'm sure we would all like better clarity.
By:
never seen them reopen an ath market for an objection or any other reason
By:
bit of a 'no win' situation for the authorities tbf. Robles clearly impeded Xiang and doesnt really deserve to be placed ahead of him but if they DQ him it might set a precedent and every time there is a bit of contact in future there's gonna be appeals
By:
think it well depend whether the contact was in Xui's lane or Robles's

i thought the 400m winner ran out of her lane near the end of the race and slightly impeded felix but there was no mention of it

Dosh done CLYDE but unable to trade a bit out to lessen. Is that fair?
By:
may yet be a counter protest yet lol

wow....
any comment Liberator ? |
By:
Correct decision imo

He had to go. Justice was done

no way Robles should be dq, maybe relegated to 3rd, but never dq

justice done, but Liu gets silver now instead of the gold he was gonna win. fair from the stewards though.
By:
had laid LiU and backed Richardson, keeping ROBLES on side.
Got really lucky, if the now 'official result' stands? |
By:
735 quid at 1.06 on robles. Burnt

If you were a 1.01 place backer to large sums would you be happy that the market was FROZEN. Worst you might expect is demotion but still a place but some (including me) might/would choose to lay a bit off surely. Not being able to do so goes against trading and surely everything BF stands for. Who at BF makes the decisions when to suspend. I only hope it is not a numpty with delegated responsibility. Sets a very very dangerous precedent in my opinion. Markets should have been cleared and reopened.

Still not settled which suggests chaos.
By:
doesn't suggest chao at all, suggest they expect to settle on the ceremony as per the rules
By:
hmmm i wonder how much the decision was affected by Xiang being Chinese. Im sure the koreans want to keep good relations with their bigger neighbour.....

Would love to hear Colin Jackson's view on this (I know, first time anyone has probably ever said that, but he has got better as an analyst). Robles has a very 'unique' arm movement in the way he pulled it back during that race, you look at the arm movements of others and they seem to chop their arm up and down whereas Robles throws out big circles.

By:
Why do Betfair not pay out? Richardson won.
Sure, Liu would have won, IF it would not been for Robles. But now its official, so pay out. |
By:
might get counter protest
By:
they have said they will protest, was reported a while back
