Hannah England is a very lucky girl. One of the most incompetent tactical races (and I ran 1500 seriously for 15 years) I have ever seen but she has qualified. She ran roughly 30 metres more than she should have done so if she keeps to the inside in a fast run final, she should be in the mix.

What do people think about Mo Farah. Is 7/4 value in the 5k. If he had won the 10k by 50m which he would have done had the "unknown Ethopian" not been there he would probably be a 1/3 shot??

Think its a good bet, but would want better odds. No "unknown ethiopian" in it. But bekele runs.

I doubt Bekele will be factor given his 10k appearance which is, without doubt, his strongest event.
I think Farah will win the 5k. He's trounced this field before in the Diamond league events. His biggest threat will be Bernard Lagat imo, a masterful tactician and a former 1500 medalist (2nd fastest all time) and he's probably the only guy who can out sprint Farah over the last 400m. These races are often slow affairs which will bring other runners in but look for Farah to go with 600-800m left. If he runs the last 800 in 1:51-52 then it will take something as special as Jelien to beat him... can lightening strike twice? |

Bekele does NOT run. Jos hermens confirmed it. Farah wins this race. 10/11 shot in my book. he has beaten every other athlete here. No outlier like Jeilan, he destroyed merga in the 10k and only really has lagat to fear but the Amerikenyan is 37 now and not the kicker he was. All over Farah here.
