sudoku...I owned up to adding dallas to my list last month at 90s....but now it doesnt seem to bad with a nice run of games...well on paper a nice run of games..playing at home may not be an advantage with this team.

dallas are so unpredictable. they can beat any team, yet loose to any team. they did well the last games without demarco murray, who will return soon and give their offense one more gear again.
looking on the betfair outright market, i guess there are traders, who back the very likely gameday winners, expecting them to shorten after the weekend. steelers on the other hand are laid heavily, as it is very likely, that they will not have any chance without big ben vs baltimore. i dont think they will trade much higher though - unless there will be bad injury news for big ben. falcons are very low at betfair, you can back them higher at bw*n! the will entertain the cardinals and should win comortably. again i dont think their price will not shorten at all. |
By:
dallas will be a different beast if they can get Murray fit and producing again taking the pressure of Romo
By:
book update and Steelers left me with a bit of a problem:
Packers + £2.5k 49ers + £1.5k Ravens + £1.8k Steelers + £1.2k Pats - Neutral the rest - 790 Tempted to put some on the Seahawks and the Giants at current prices as I think both make the playoffs. |
By:
My dallas love comes about from a huge giants dislike. I dont think they make the playoffs, Eli has been off for the last few weeks, they don't seem to be playing 'tough' football and they have one heck of a schedule on the run in.
By:
@d13phe, another tough win for Green Bay. They keep rolling even considering the serious injury list. They will be the 3rd ranked team after this week, would imagine they wouldn't mind Chicago beating 49ners. Still on course for a bye along with Atlanta. Win against the Giants next week and I would make the strong favourites for the 2nd seed. I keep on increasing the position where I can

So that is why the pats have drifted...gronk broken arm

Gronk Broken Arm
that could be my fantasy playoff hopes out the window ![]() |
By:
still staggered by the Ravens price
they look like getting at least the number 2 seed to me. |
By:
49ers are far too short imo. I like the bears tonight, with the 49ers still having to go to the saints, pats and seahawks which will surely be a crucial game in terms of the playoff picture.
How the falcs are the same price with only a serious slump to move them out of contention of a bye in the wild card round. Same canbe said of how they are shorter than the ravens with a similar looking picture. I think the saints are too big, could see them going 10-6 will that be enough for a wild card? |
By:
Number 1 seed could be baltimores..I could see the texans losing in detroit and new england...denver will take the 2 spot if they win in baltimore..that looks like being the key game...denver wont lose another game apart from a possible loss in baltimore..ravens have the trickier games.
By:
The broncos are racking up 30pts or more in every game and the D is playing superb...this team is rolling nicely
By:
will have to do without willis mcgahee, has torn mcl and a leg fracture, could be season ending
By:
tbf the Broncos have played some pretty poor teams
will be an interesting game against the ravens to see how good they really are. |
By:
2 words eh, "not Chicago"
By:
The cream is slowly rising to the top.
By:
by the way the three favourites are AFC teams
![]() Yet the better teams with better records against winning teams sit in the NFC. this market is not right and it is going to be punished. |
By:
D13phe,
I noticed this. The only reason for this could be the slightly larger certainty on who will make the 1 and 2 spots in the AFC. Green Bay now half a game back on San Francisco in the race for the No 2 spot, crucial game in New York next week. I have the NFC on 85 wins against the AFC on 75 wins which is fair domination. This is skewed by the overall weakness of some very poor sides in the AFC. Still think one of San Francisco and GB should be shorter than the patriots and Denver (the AFC west and AFC East are garbage this year) |
By:
It is crazy d13...the best teams are in the NFC....patriots need gronk back for the playoffs.
By:
Yeah true Gronk is a huge loss but the pats offensive is awesome , they have so many weapons, they can survive the huge loss of gronk imo
By:
well we can find out about the Pats this week as they are at the Jets
I think Gronk missing is huge. He takes 2-3 guys with him and still manages 1-2 touchdowns a week |
By:
Massive miss but they are still far too strong for the teams in the division....he will be back for the playoffs...like jimmy graham,,unplayable most of the time
By:
i agree harry but could be the difference between a 1/2 seed and a 3/4 seed which is huge for the Pats imo
By:
Just looking at the schedules it looks like the runner up in the nfc east and the nfc south will probably miss out? agree?
By:
seahawks look good for 4 wins in the remaining games. saints and the giants have nightmare schedule,,they face each other so one will lose lol...cowboys have tricky games v saints and steelers at home and bengals away...saints have to go unbeaten here on in to get in...cant see it
By:
suppose the bears could lose another 3 quite easily
By:
Yep Harry I think the bears are in big trouble myself
By:
i backed the giants and the cowboys on sunday
one of them will get in if not both and they will be short prices because the market loves them both |
By:
The bears v seahawks game is massive for the bears..lose that game at home and They are done imo
By:
NO now the same price as PIT. thats very wrong imo. NO still have a very bad defense, i will admit not as horrible as at the start of the season though. still they suck defensively, brees cant turn every posession into a TD. PIT on the other hand have the best defense in the league, although playing without polamalu, who should return soon. they have an easy schedule for the rest of the season and as soon as the injured offense players return, i see no better team at the moment. if big ben will not get fit in time, things are different. but as far as i am informed, he should be ok in some weeks.
By:
Mr november having a bad night...dallas were being gifted these 3 home games
By:
A NYJ Win tonight could throw a spanner in the works
By:
west coast offence being played by the niners is impressive and they are going to be hard to stop imo
By:
really surprised the Giants havent come in with the Cowboys being beaten
means they keep their 1 game lead whatever this week which is huge for them imo |
By:
Texans are a bit short for me still. Overtime wins against the Jags and Lions is not Superbowl winning form IMO. I'm prepared to forgive any team one bad day at the office but 2 in a row would indicate that there is something wrong there and they may just have been playing above themselves earlier in the season and are leveling off now. You would expect the majority of the top tier teams to bounce back strongly from a poor showing against the likes of the Jags with a stand-out performance the next day. Maybe the fact that it was a road game on a short week but still, it wasn't very pretty.
By:
their secondary is getting murdered.
they are totally reliant on Watt now that Cushing is done for the season. Good QBs with a decent Offensive Line like Brady and Manning in the AFC will murder the Texans. |
By:
Yeah Jonathan Joseph is a big loss as well. He was a game-time decision yesterday and I was waiting to see if he was going to be active before having a bet on Megatron's receiving yards (line was around 98 or so). It was 5:30 before I could find anything on his inactive status by which stage all the books had gone in-play and the market was gone, even though the game didn't actually start for another 15 minutes. He covered the 98 yards in the first half. In fairness it was partly my fault because I just assumed that the game was a 6pm KO but still, why go in-play 15 mins before kickoff.
By:
@d13phe, think you might be being a quick to write off the Texans. Agree they have played ugly but they have still won and the ability to win when your not playing well is very important. They have kept the momentum up and will almost certainly have a bye now. They have already played Manning and co away and firmly put them in their place. Beating up San Diego, New York and Buffolo is hardly world beating stuff from either the Patriots or Denver.
By:
They beat denver in week 3 ffs by 6 pts...if they were to meet today it would probably be a different story having seen this houston secondary the past few games manning would torch them and the denver D is playing much better....You cant go back to the first few weeks and use it as a guideline

By:
big ben apparently back for the ravens game
huge game against the Browns |
