Yeah Harry too short for me too, it is wide open , it's great stuff. 49ers don't seem to be the "great team" they were thought to be earlier in the season
By:
I dont think their is any great team tbh...The 49ers are solid all round without an elite quarterback...gore is very good..crabtree looks like he is stating to produce...vernon davis seems to be in hiding...he may come alive in the playoffs.
Steelers D looks to be coming to the boil..running game seems to be working without mendenhall...ben getting plenty of time to throw it....Patriots not impressing people. seattle and chicago seem to have the stand out defences with the steelers probably just behind them. Saints would put a spanned in the works if they won out from here ![]() |

Yeah there is no standout team which makes it so exciting!! Would love a Steelers run, would suit my book no end, but as good as big ben is ( and I really like him ) he scares the fcuk out of me when he starts trying to get out of sacks at any cost but I suppose that's what makes him what he is!!

What the hell has happened to the Giants
looked excellent in beating the Niners last month.......Eli's stats in the last three games,...... 55 per cent passing, 0 touchdowns ![]() ![]() , four interceptions. |

current ramblings....
Texans have now won at Soldier field and at the Mile high stadiums - however you look at it that is AWESOME.....heck they have even won at the mighty Jets - justified favourites to win it with their record and those wins on their CV IMHO... Chicago proved they are no mugs either.... if they could find a key offensively they could light up I'm telling yawl.49ers are over priced in the market at 9.8 currently - very solid (QB injury apart yesterday).... the NFC teams are starting to wilt though.... Its funny how a season changes as I remember watching C4 after 5 weeks or so and a question was posed as to why are the AFC so far behind the NFC teams - well.... they ain't. I was going to say the Bronco's are underpriced but they have such an easy run in and may get a massive homefield advantage in the playoffs. However for some reason I don't see them as a solid team - just Manning papering over the cracks.... Someone posted about the Seahawks at 70's the other day - good call. |

Injuries are really MOUNTING for the Packers......the weakest position depthwise on the roster coming into the season was the O line and today they've placed starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga on IR.......the O line has played poorly as it is and with no depth at all i'd be fearful with one more injury there.
They have a stack of quality players out injured at the moment ........yes the won it all in 2010 with fifteen players on IR but the injured players this season are of a much higher quality.....they're just about all starters. |
By:
They found it hard going v the jets in the 2nd half
By:
Denver look a solid all round group.
By:
most of them will be back in a few weeks though Grayhawk?
By:
Only five men on IR at the moment D13phe......Bulaga today and Perry last week.
Matthews and Worthy should be back within another two weeks.....Nelson probably this. Jennings and Woodson could be anything between four and eight weeks at a guess. They will have to take the left guard Lang to play right tackle....one more O line injury and you fear for Rodgers health with what they have for back up. It will be interesting to watch the defence with the one man they can't do without this weekend. |
By:
*without the one man they can't do without
By:
McCarthy was pretty optimistic in his press conference today on the health of his players
Bulaga was the only worry |
By:
well Big Ben's injury certainly puts a different slant on things
![]() |
By:
Steelers price has doubled.
Glad i backed the Ravens as well |

hmmmmm....Bit of a bummer for the superbowl book..on the other hand my divisional bet is looking a lot better on the ravens..
Doom and gloom regarding ben an hour ago now some reports it is still up in the air. |
By:
Touch wood but it seems like Roethlisberger's injury could have been a lot worse
By:
surely the price is massive at 25s
only meant to be out for a week which is a pickem game anyway |
By:
just added to the Ravens and the Steelers
Looked at it a few times. The price isnt right. its being distorted by the Pats price The Ravens could be 8-2 after Monday ffs or even better both could be sitting at 7-3 which would be equal to or better than the Pats ![]() |
By:
Pats are a strange price with that defence d13phe......teams which have been there and done that often seem underpriced.
By:
So how useless is the Steelers backup QB that they have more than doubled in price on the back of this injury? Seems a big over-reaction to me given the news that he might only miss a week. Worth picking some up for me at 29+
By:
i have TheVis
they also have Mendenhall back this week so will have three Running backs so all the QB will be doing is throwing short screens and giving the ball to the Running Backs against a poor run D bizarre price. Someone must know its worse ![]() |
By:
^ not necessarily. Some strange layers in this market. Packers were laid at 40s a couple of weeks ago for a good few pound (it was flagged up here by someone) when they were never any bigger than 20s on the high street
I'm already on Steelers at 20/1 but have had a small nibble at the 29 as well as it's too good. Even without Big Ben for 3-4 weeks I can't see the Steelers not making the playoffs anyway. I can't see them finishing worse than 10-6 |
By:
I think more of a problem to big ben is his broken rib and not his shoulder. With what i have read i think he will miss more than just this weeks game.
But bare in mind this is 'big ben' we are talking about and if there is a chance of him playing he will, regardless of the pain. Still think the steelers make the playoffs, will hold off backing them for now though, I expect as we hear more about the injury and time out etc the price will drift a little more. |
By:
Ben Roethlisberger identified the rare and dangerous rib injury: a dislocated first rib that could have pressed against his aorta.
doesnt sound good tbh |
By:
Think this could have ended a lot lot worse as well on monday night by all accounts.
By:
yep
the more that comes out about this the more i think he might be done for the season, maybe longer ![]() |
By:
"Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger said he does not believe his rib injury is season ending but he is unsure when he'll play again."
By:
Only two teams I would back at these prices are Texans and Packers. I think Denver are just below the top teams and will come a cropper against one of them. I don't fancy the Pats at all and think Brady has regressed a little. Bears have great defense but their offense will let them down. Same for San Fran.
Texans best all round team and deservedly favs but after a slowish start the packers have got their explosive offense back and are a danger to everyone. |
By:
im staggered by the Broncos price.
they are second favs despite losing to the Texans, Pats and the Falcons. that said, they have a very soft schedule until the playoffs and they are a problem because we don't know how good they really are ![]() Steelers up to nearly 34s ![]() |
By:
steelers are traded at betfair much higher than everywhere else.
By:
D13 do you not think they have improved massively since them 3 defeats?
By:
Harry
yes i think they probably have but not sure they warrant second fav |
By:
Not looked at the superbowl market since sunday night..never realised they had jumped ahead of the pats
![]() A lot of concussions lately...Imagine if brady or rodgers went down for the season season over...which team can cope best with their star player out? |
By:
sf and chicago are the only teams that could win sb without their starting qb imo.
By:
By:
I think the Texans would cope too
By:
I am not get carried away with Broncos. I watched the game against the Panthers. They were gifted 21 points on turnovers and had a kick-off returned for TD.
That said their defence was solid and schedule means a playoff team. But definitely no more than that IMO |
By:
I would agree with the 49ers....Not chicago...they will struggle to make a championship game without cultler
Texans without foster would kill any chance they had...they could defo cope with losing a mediocre qb ![]() |
