Brent Grimes was our best defensive player last year and he's been out virtually all season. If he was playing instead of Robinson we'd be in better shape.

Steelers Cry - talk about giving up momentum after a big win

When was the last week that the Browns were the only AFC North team to win their match?

Have to agree Harry, when all is said and done, The Pats have been very consistent lately, the running game has improved and the Defence is doing enough. I still think the Steelers are dark horses if they can put a consistent run together. Green Bay may not have enough with all the injuries they are carrying

Green Bay survive another slow start and are given a huge lift by the key fumble that was returned for 6. Thought in the conditions they played okay and put in a really strong second half showing. Key players should start to return and they are still very much alive for a potential number 2 spot.

bad loss for the falcons

they could quite easily be passed by either Green Bay or SF for number 1 seed or maybe both

Remaining fixtures:
Giants (h)
Lions (a)
Buccs (h)

I can see them potentially losing 2 out of 3 there.

The Packers could win out to go 12-4 and i think they have the tie breaker against the falcons

Also big game for 49ers in there search for the number 1 seed on Sunday

Not for me d13...niners have the harder schedule by far just based on their next 2 games.

Yes if the packers win out they do hold the tie breaker over the falcons if they were to lose two more...that would be some finish if the packers won the NFC Shocked

yeah Falcons will have it tough against the Giants, the Giants have to keep winning to be sure of playoff spot,Giants also have to go to Ravens.saying all that Falsons might just do enough to hold on to #1,would be confident of the Packers winning out,can see 49ers losing next wk handing the initiative to GB....

Well fair play to those Patriot backers they humbled Huston last night. They may well be able to nab the top seed now. Still the positive is that the 49ners won't be relishing the trip to Foxborough and this could bode well for the chances of Green Bay to capture the NFC 2nd seed. Absolutely massive week in the NFL coming up with GB@Chicago and SF 49ners@NE. Play-off picture will be a lot clearer after this week no doubt

GB will batter Chi town, ditto NE over SF. Hairball has IMO seriously dented their chances of winning the SB with this Kapernick thing, every player in that locker-room is now thinking 'what a doosh bag'

The man who started the 'Whose got it better than us' thing, then urinated on his QB who didn't nothing wrong but get hurt.

Bad football karma.

As for a SB winners, stick a fork in - Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and Atlanta.

If I was too rank the teams who are currently  occupying 1-12 positions by how good they look for SB Winners I would say

12. Chicago - No momentum, no hope and probably the worst offence of the 12, over reliant on takeaways most likely wont even make the PO's

11. Baltimore - Wont be a popular opinion I know but any time I have seen them  they have been awful players returning from injuries may help but I would not be shocked too see them finish 0-3 for a 9-7 record.

10.Indianapolis - Too soon for my beloved Colts too go all the way, either way what a season after just 2 wins last year. Had them at no.9 at first as they are pretty much assured a PO spot but I can't see them making it very far in the off season sadly.    #Chuckstrong

9.New York - The hardest team to rank originally had them at  No. 10. Far too inconsistent imo, should make the PO's but again not a shock if they didn't and as I said about inconsistency wouldn't be shocked if they won the whole thing. Would warrant a much higher rank if they had already clinched a play off spot

8.Pittsburgh - Similar to NY difficult to rank I would have them ranked top 4 if they were already assured a PO spot, can beat anyone on their day but can also lose games they really should be winning.

7.Seattle - Still going strong despite the suspensions, although that was only against Arizona, Should know more after they play the 49'ers and Rams.

6.Houston - As all middle/long distance runners will tell you the its better to start slow pick up speed then finish like a train, good early season victories over Baltimore and Denver had a lot of people making them favourites but they are now stuttering. Demolished by  NE Patriots and needing overtime too squeak past Jacksonville and Detroit doesn't bode well for their chances. Also who can forget the Demolition job by the Packers when they met.

5.San Francisco - Would have SF ranked 2 or 3 if they had not dropped Smith, brainless decision imo, Kaepernick is an excellent prospect but is not ready yet and while AS was never going too be the best QB in the NFL he had become a brilliant game manager. Still they have a good receiving corps a top 3 defence and of course Frank Gore.

4.Atlanta - Similar to Houston they sprinted from the blocks and are looking gassed when the bell is ringing for the final lap. (Sorry for more athletics analogies) Dissapointing loss against Carolina but they gave Carolina a 23 point start tbf and lost 30-20 in the end. 3 reasonably tough games left easier to figure out their chances after those results are in the book.

3. Green Bay - Could rank this team anywhere from 3rd - 9th as they have not always been impressive so far but they have woeful luck with injuries  I can see them finishing 3-0 for a 12-4 record and possibly a 1st or 2nd seed if they can get some of their players back fit and firing.

2.Denver- Have not put a foot wrong since starting 2-3 have gone from weak divisional champs a year ago to being genuine SB contenders this season. One weakness is the loss of RB Willis McGahee. The Broncs must make the AFC championship game if he is too see anymore action.

1. New England - By no means unbeatable but the team no-one will want too play unfortunately.

What are your opinions on the list?

Some very good comments in your list.

Green Bay - against the good pass rush teams they look ordinary. Never believed in the Falcons either.

top 4.... in no order
NE - Texans - SF & NYG ............ sleepers are the Steelers AFC & Seattle NFC

don't write off the texans just yet, everything went in the favour of the home team last night.

I don't do fairytales but I'd like the Colts to do it!Shocked

Only two weeks ago, everyone was in love with SF. Despite Kaepernick being average as opposed to awful, they have drifted from 7 to 8.6! There has to be value there.

NE are way too short. One good performance does not make them worldbeaters and even with a possibility of the #1 seed, should they really be below 5?

The other side who are way underpriced are Seattle. 22? They were too short at 32 before playing Arizona and playing Arizona can never create grounds to shorten. And how on earth they are smaller than Baltimore is beyond me.

Injury note on the Steelers, both Allen and Lewis have hip flexor injuries and may/may not play, if they do one would think they'll be limited, Captain Cliche has already stated they may have to simplify the defense, which balances out the loss of Dez Bryant this Sunday.

49ers will relish the trip to foxboro imo...give them a good shot at winning.

The real moaner you cant brand them as a one game wonder...the games they lost were by small margins...they blew the game in seattle.

Why not?? the texans were below 5s after a few weeks...patriots always strong at this stage

it's a long trip for san francisco this, plus colder weather, high of 2c, with windchill as low as -11c, wind 15-20kmh, dont think keapernick will be showing his tattoo's this week..

patriots suffering a bit at the mo, donte stallworth signed to replace injured wide reciever julian edelman, placed on injured reserve after suffering ankle injury on his 63 yrd touchdown pass against houston,
they have resigned deion branch (again) to replace him.

im not sure the Giants will mind beating the Patriots in the Superbowl again.

It is going to be interesting to see how the Pats do against the 49ers as I reckon the 49ers might still be a huge threat for the Superbowl.  There has been a big overreaction after that Houston game, The Packers did that to them in their home yeard, they arent that great a team and their QB is not good enough.

I think they or Denver probably win the AFC (perhaps with a threat from Bal or Pitts if they get some momentum) but there are teams queuing up to tear that secondary to shreds and you can stop Brady,

the Giants are a ridiculous price at this stage imo. I would make them 3/5 favs against the Pats in the SB on neutral ground again.

Agree with the Giants d13 & if and when they guarantee a spot their odds will shorten considerably , they still need a couple of performances to get in though but hopefully they'll make it ok   Happy

by the way, Matthews and Woodson likely to feature this week vs the Bears,

They might be getting healthy at the right time. Sam shields is a big plus as well for the D and Jordy Nelson also likely to come back.

i would be surprised if they didn't win at least 2 out of 3 and with Cowboys and Redskins due to play each other that should be enough.
