JORDI , thanks for reminding me that Pens game started early and could well have missed it otherwise , went for the more cautious option of laying Flyers in regs but a winner's a winner , chatted about Devils struggling home form but unfortunately didn't lay them and no bet , currently 1-4 down.
Looking at later games as we speak ![]() |

Anyone watching the Blackhawks game? The score flashed up as 2-2 on the NHL website, but now changed back to 1-1. Anyone know what happened please?
By:
sorry, changed back to 2-1 to the Sabres, not 1-1

Evening guys
Back on focus tonight following the 2 nights of NFL action , the live game is impossible for me simply because it involves Caps , Bruins can give as good as they get in Washington but Caps as usual offer no value at all.....leave game alone for me. Flames could struggle again tonight after that somewhat misleading goal spree against Oilers the other night , the basic problems still exist and will do well to get a point. Canucks @ Wild looks too difficult unless the thread fans can convince us to play anything ? Won't be touching any Sharks games until they show some level of form and consistency , too early in the season to be guessing their performance and there will be better options certainly this month. Good luck all ![]() |

Caps are 3 - 0 - 0 at home and have a 100 % PK and last season the Bruins relied heavily on the PP to get goals. It may not be typical value at 1.6 but is surely backable looking at the numbers...?
By:
It may be arthur looking at that but you've got to consider how inconsistent Caps are as well , they could win easy or struggle who knows , they can win without my money as always.
Good luck if you play ![]() |
By:
When I watched the caps last season the inconsitency seemed to depend on how well the oppenent's checking line handled Ovechkin. Bruins are very sound defensive team most of the time but having gone to the verizon centre two seasons ago, it is a very hard place to win...
By:
One thing about Caps though they give great viewing value normally and very easy on the eye , will be watching them tonight with no bet on the game but still hope they score a bagful , nice to hear from someone who has attended a live game arthur

Not much to brag about, its the only nhl game i have ever been to, great atmosphere but the habs fans are crazy. I'm sure you have been to loads of games....?
By:
hola guys, cant see any bets for me tonight but will watch caps match
By:
tbh only been to 3 NHL games in total , living in the UK makes it difficult and only go when I can link up with a mate who loves NFL and we kill 2 birds with one stone , last venue I visited was Atlanta.
By:
Regular posters Benrik & Canucks are both Vancouver fans living in Canada , sure they've been to scores of games live
By:
shirley there will be a game in england next year as part european tour the nhl does
By:
Last one was Ducks v Kings at the o2 arena about 4 years ago
By:
did you go hayden or is it wrong end of country for you
By:
Wrong end of country mate , would rather jump on a flight to Europe tbh than bother with London
By:
its not that bad hayden |
By:
2-0 bosston
By:
Boston 2-0 , Lucic firing
By:
Lay of Flames in regulation a good result for me but had to sweat last 5 mins , OT about to be played but it's bedtime for me.
Well done Bruins , did a good job on Ovechkin tonight so deserved win |

Can Hayden or someone else explain why Atlanta are even money against Buffalo? The stats favour the Thrashers heavily and the game is in Atlanta. There must be something I don't know

By:
I was tinking the same Arthur. Seems a good price to me for Atlanta.
Also considering backing over 5.5 goals in the Ducks game. |
By:
I think it's a case of name over hard facts...
By:
I think you're right guys to a certain degree about name over hard facts , if you can imagine this game was a few weeks ago then Sabres would have gone off at around 1.6 in my opinion and the odds tonight factor in the evidence that Sabres have lost 4 recent games , albeit all by the odd goal , and the normally brilliant Ryan Miller has had mixed fortunes in that run.
Tonight for me that's exactly why it's a pick in that the perceived better team are on a recent slide with their biggest asset not at his best however the market will also realize that if Sabres play near their best tonight and Miller has a more typical game then Sabres will probably sneak a low scoring win. It's all opinions guys but for me ( unlike other sports ) recent form is not a crucial factor in Ice Hockey and player performances are a lot more spontaneous than in other sports , that's my view anyway and I rarely consider recent team form and place more emphasis on an individual MVP or whether there's a scheduling issue. Good luck guys ![]() |
By:
Thanks for the insight Hayden.
Do you fancy Buffalo or Atlanta to take it though? |
By:
I think he is backing Buffalo
a no bet for me now after reading Hayden's run down of it... |
By:
If I had to bet i'd probably take Sabres to edge a low scorer on the assumption that Miller plays well but tbh i'm currently looking for an easier opportunity than that game so will sit that one out.
By:
Might back the blue jackets, just a big fan of Rick Nash...
By:
Yes Im a bit nervous about it now, so Im going to go for the overs in the Ducks game instead.
6-0 to the Blue Jackets would be nice then for both of us! |
By:
Hayden - Can you see goals in that game?
By:
ill take a 4-3 OT win

By:
arthur , that's an issue sometimes mate in that posting a few comments can change a persons view on the game , which is dangerous , that's why all my posts are views that if reading them you always need to read between the lines with the terms good bet and/or free money never used , the only thing I ever preach on here is to lay low and back high when shorties are involved as there is NEVER a certainty in this sport however strongly you may fancy a team.
Too much guesswork in this Sabres match to get involved for me but someone else will see it completely different , it's all about opinions guys ![]() |
By:
Dont worry, i wouldnt back a team based on someone else's opinion but you did remind me of Ryan Miller's ability to win a game on his own no matter what the form says.
A no bet seems a good idea ![]() |

Can someone fill me in about why there are no early games on in the NHL at the moment? I'm sure there are no other major sports on at the midday times currently with the exception of Sundays. The last day game I can think of this season was the Rangers @ Islanders and the next 1pm game is in about two weeks!
Does no one like midday hockey? |
By:
I did listen to some theories about early afternoon games a few months ago arthur , the players were fairly unanimous in that they didn't like them and almost as unanimous in stating that such start times favoured the road team , all to do with the planning in the middle of a hectic schedule.
Any fancies tonight ? |
By:
The Flyers and Habs look good tonight but have not seen their prices yet...
By:
I like the Leafs to take care of the Rangers tonight at home.
By:
Devils are favourite against the habs? Great value backing Montreal it looks like...

i take a little 2nite...ANAHEIM, NEW JERSEY, MINNESOTA...
