Evening chaps
Busy night ahead with 11 games and singled out a couple of personal fancies , think there's a few games I couldn't get involved in such as the Caps and Lightning games as they both have big divisional games just around the corner so anything can happen , any game involving Sharks should be avoided at the moment until their performances show more consistency , Flyers are a team i'm avoiding for a few weeks to either back or lay , Wings should win but not for me at the odds , Pens game is a coin flip , Florida game looks too difficult and no idea what the Oilers are going to produce next at the moment. Leaves 2 bets for me , think Devils will get at least 1pt in Montreal , as a spillover from last season Devils are more equipped to get results on the road under the current play strategy and that's how it's panned out this season to date , Devils are still a top side waiting to happen for me and with Habs having a bigger fish to fry in Ottawa on Saturday I think they'll find Devils a handful tonight. Love the confidence Kings are playing with at the moment and they're a team that'll go a long way in the play-offs for me , tough looking divisional game in Phoenix tonight and did look at the total goals but the line is set lower than normal , again I think Kings will get at least a point from the game. Good luck guys ![]() |

I like the flyers to beat a ducks team who were out played and beat up by a jackets team just yesterday! Hard to recover and beat a flyers team the very next day...
GL everyone... |

Well played Devils a typical road performance from them , changed my mind about staying up for the Kings game as absolutely knackered , need my bed.
speak tomorrow guys ![]() |

JORDI , Is this the end for our old mate Rene Rancourt and his anthem intro's at Boston ?
Steven Tyler from Aerosmith performed the anthem last night and we may have seen the last of our old favourite ![]() |

Why are Chicago outsiders against the Blues tonight?
|
|
By:
I actually had them a bit shorter at 1.80 on my early tissue arthur , the influences being the fact they played in Chicago last Monday and the Blues outplayed them for long periods but seemed to throw away a two goal lead , Blues have had 4 days rest since whilst Hawks played an intense game against Canucks on Wednesday , this is an important divisional game and Hawks have another home ice divisional tomorrow night against Colombus , Blues are currently bottom of the division but for me they won't finish lower than 3rd and are a good young side that's getting better , my play would be a lay of Hawks in regulation.
The other 3 games yet to start are all divisional games and therefore difficult to predict , got a feeling for Tampa to do well in Atlanta with Stamkos looking good at the moment and Atlanta have another divisional game tomorrow night in Washington but the others are just too hard to call. Good luck mate if you get involved ![]() |

Tampa 1-0 , good start to the night

Sorry for the late post guys,
I like the Canucks against the Wild tonight. The Wild come in on the 2nd of a back to back with a tough game against Edmonton last night. Schnieder is in goal and he has been solid in his two appearances. Although short, I am going with regular time odds. Good luck all. |

Perfect night with both bets winning , suppose if I was picky could have been bolder and played the main fancy Tampa in regulation for a bigger price instead of the more cautious money line , Tampa sauntered home really and crikey this Stamkos kid is so so good
![]() Very interesting card tomorrow night which throws up a couple of bets off the scheduling. |

1 Minnesota @ Vancouver - Regular Time Goals (Backing Over 5.5 Goals @ 1.85)

cheers hayden fingers crossed, reduced my stakes quite a bit though, as i've had such a torrid time start of this season! everything i touched messed up! chicago at home to nashville 2-3, kings beating cannucks, sabres winning at ottawa! so nice to have a winner! was going to do them all on the moneyline 25/1 as well, but thought nah don't waste money on that!
picking up on what you said about the blues earlier, followed them for the last 3 years, brilliant end to the season 2 years ago to make the play-offs and expected us last year to pick up on that, but it never materialised, hoping this is the year, with a decent goaltender, as you have said theres alot of young talent out there capable, outshot opponents in all 6 games this year so far, got strong hopes, backed them at 66/1 & 50/1 for the cup, think they should at least make the playoffs! |

Back to the bread & butter stuff tonight chaps following the traditional Sunday and Monday of NFL.
What's the fancies for later ? |
|
By:
I like the Leafs at home to get past the Panthers and also the Stars to take care of Anaheim in Dallas.
Good luck all. |
|
By:
Hayden I prefer the NFL to the NHL like most, but I thought your loyalties would of stayed with hockey since you're supposed to be the die hard fan [:o]
Anyway I'm on Toronto tonight so.... Go Leafs Go! |
|
By:
They do arthur really but on those 2 nights I mix the sports , light NHL schedules anyway on the nights they clash.
Tonight leaving the Leaf's clash alone as they have a massive divisional clash in Boston in 48 hours and sometimes you get a quirky performance when so close , not keen on Flyers yet again as they are both playing poorly and also have a huge divisional double-header starting in 72 hours , Ottawa game is hard to all but shouldn't be many goals scored , the Dallas game is sure to be a hard fought divisional and could go either way , Stars also have a divisional game on Thursday. Oilers have a better schedule than Flames and could spring a surprise in Calgary whilst Canucks have the best chance of the night for me entertaining Av's as Colorado may well target the Thursday div game in Calgary as the best chance of winning this week. Good luck guys ![]() |
|
By:
You always factor in future divisional matchups, do teams really play with less effort if they have a divisional game soon?
|
|
By:
It's all down to opinions mate tbh but that's one of my main selection criteria , divisional games are absolutely huge and I even look at those differently in-play as there's sometimes a fear of losing the 1pt they have if it's tied with a few mins to go in regulation.
Not everyone will agree but I largely ignore current form and very recent stats and stick with the strategy that's served me so well over the last 4 years. Good luck tonight ![]() |

just a straight bet on buffalo sabres moneyline for me. flyers playing their 3rd game in 4 nights and travelling from columbus. Hoping that they are jaded.

live streaming of all the NHL games tonight! |

Unbelievable ending to the Canucks game. I took reg odds and was pissed due to the late goal by the Avs and missed breakaway by Malhotra. I dumped more in on the nucks in OT and they won off of a weird weird play off a faceoff. My bet got matched 1 second after the goal was scored. Glad it happened.
Good night all. |
|
By:
Yes amazing stuff , I went to bed and got up again at 4am and tbh they were a bit short for my usual tastes but thought they would win easier than that , all's well that ends well

My disciplined pledge to play only one game per night for October whilst the season settles down somewhat has turned out really well , will be stepping up the pace as from next week though and that will probably mean averaging around 15 bets per week.
Some good games tonight , Canes always seem to give Caps problems but let's see what the team news is later ![]() |
|
By:
Love the way the American books set the game total at 5.5 or sometimes 6 ..unlike baseball where they move it from 5 to double figures , they just adjust the price not the total.
If i am not wrong it is a killing at the moment taking over 5.5 ..goals galore nearly every day large number of games sometimes nearly all going over |
|
By:
It does appear that way mate but there are selected times of the season to get involved in the total goals markets in my view and just backing overs consistently is fraught with danger.
This regular season to date there have been 60 overs v 62 under which would have resulted in a warm loss so far if following blindly. Good luck tonight ![]() |
|
By:
Interesting stat that you say the unders have happened overall ..they must happen in clusters , i know thats impossible but lately i keep seeing 4 to 3 and 5 to 2 results left right and centre .. but i will bet with caution
|

The Rangers tonight including the OT looks a good bet for me tonight. They scraped out a much needed win on the road in Toronto and Gaborik may be back in the lineup tonight.
Good luck all. |
|
By:
I also like the Rangers tonight but Gaborik is out for another two weeks I think [:(]
|
|
By:
You're right arthur, Gaborik is still out. I still like them in that spot including the OT. Good luck.

Evening guys
Some good games tonight and could have had as many as 3 bets if I hadn't restricted myself to one-a-day , eventually gone for a lay of Penguins in regulation , never keen on Pens chances prior to a big showdown ( Flyers on Friday ) and in the last 5 games prior to a divisional game they've lost the lot , here's hoping the past masters at targetting the important games will play with that lack of intensity that'll allow Stamkos and Co to do the business , or at least hold them in regulation. Good luck all ![]() |
|
By:
I'm on MON Canadiens -1.5...
![]() ![]() Good luck all |

By:
Crazy start in Tampa , Lightning take the lead with a pp goal then concede TWO goals on the same power play ffs
![]() Touch of the flu this week so off to bed , good luck guys ![]() |

By:
NYR looked terrible tonight. The injuries have taken their toll already in the early season. Overs was the easy call in that one.
Better luck tomorrow all. |
|
By:
Well done Tampa
, that's a useful stat to remember chaps |
|

Hi guys, I usually bet on the mlb but have no clue about the NHL. Was thinking about a 4-fold for tonight, will be my first bet on the NHL so just wondering if it seems ok?
1 Washington @ Minnesota - Money Line (Inc. OT) Backing: Washington Capitals 2 Los Angeles @ Dallas - Money Line (Inc. OT) Backing: Los Angeles Kings 3 Colorado @ Calgary - Money Line (Inc. OT) Backing: Calgary Flames 4 Phoenix @ Detroit - Money Line (Inc. OT) Backing: Detroit Red Wings |
|
By:
Welcome mate , stick to your own bets and feel your way into it , you'll pick up a few sensible nuggets posted along the way but your own picks could easily be as good as anyone else's.
Best of luck ![]() |

thanks mate ;), don't usually ask but just incase one team has hit a rough patch or something to watch out for incase but looking forward to the games ;)
