A low grade handicap on the all weather at Wolverhampton is where I'm looking to get a trade this afternoon. A winner of one race already on the all weather here already, Howyadoingnotsobad is probably a bit high in the weights to maybe win today but you never know and this prominent running horse should still be capable of being there or thereabout at the business end of this race to give us a trade this afternoon. The geldings three most recent runs of seen him trade down to evens or less twice and more than half in price in the other race. Backed at 8 leaves us needing an in running lay off price, all to our normal stakes of,

Lay off at 5.2 for a 1 pt all green screen
Lay off at 4.8 for a 1.3 all green profit or for the more ambitious
Lay off at 4.3 for a 1.7 all green screen

In the 5.05 at Wolverhampton we have a horse running off a mark of 66 having won its last race and having been raised 6lb for that win, just a year ago the same horse was winning off a mark of 81. There was lots of money from the Mulhall stable for Aerodynamic for his win a week ago and there will probably be more for him today. The distance is fine for him and of course the Polytrack holds no fears. Class 6 is his level at the moment and the 4 yr old can go well again today, certainly well enough to give us a trade. Aspell rides the horse well and with a bit of luck he will do the trading business for us this afternoon.

In the next at Edinburgh a horse that may be able to get us a trade after winning a Class 4 last time out is the Chris Grant trained six year old gelding Saddlers Deal. Normally ridden up with the pace or just off it, Saddlers Deal has been available to trade in eight of his last eleven Chases and he traded to 2 or less in six of those. Running from a career high mark this afternoon but as a six year old chaser he is still entitled to improve. This doesn't look the strongest of races and with the possibility of Carrieteau or Vosges making the running then Saddlers Deal should be able to take a tow round and be there or thereabouts towards the second last and come down in price low enough to get us a trade. Backed at 5.4 leaves us needing an in running lay off price of- all to our normal stakes:

In the 7.10 at Kempton, a very open handicap a horse that has been available to trade in eight of his last nine races and has a record of one from one over the course is of interest for trading purposes. Luke Morris takes the ride on Iron Steps and has a record of two from two (trading wise) on him, with Iron Steps in such good form I think even his revised mark will not stop him at least trading for us this evening. Available to back at 10.5 leaves us needing a lay off price in running at (all to normal stakes)

Its not often that I venture into claimers but tonight I have a fancy that we will get a trade out of the very consistent Lutine Charlie who has been available to trade in eight of his last ten races over distances from six furlongs to a mile. This is not the strongest of claimers and he should show up well enough to allow his price to drop to get us a trade tonight. He has traded to less than 2 in four of his seven races at Kempton and has traded in all four races when ridden by Keiron Fox, down in class from a handicap tonight, backed at 7.6 leaves us needing to our normal stakes,

Lay off at 5.0 for a 1pt all green screen.
Lay off at 4.5 for a 1.3 all green screen or
Lay off at 4 for a 1.7 all green screen.

The consistent Tiger Time in the next can give us a decent trade, he has traded five of the last six times when ridden by Richard Johnson and can do so again today, backed at 8.4 leaving a lay off price of 5 for a 1.3 all green screen.

Some good racing today, lets hope for a good trade or two. On the all weather I'm hoping to get a trade from the Hughie Morrison trained three year old filly Queen of Cash. She has shortened up in running in all of her last twelve races and will hopefully be able to maintain a prominent position long enough for her to give us a trade in the 2.25 at Lingfield this afternoon. She is 1/1 over the course and has a decent record of three wins and two seconds on Polytrack. Back amongst her own sex today and a decent price our options are to back at 11.5 for two points and lay off at:

7.6 for 3.05 pts for a 1 pt all green screen
6.8 for 3.35 pts for a 1.3 pt all green screen
6.0 for 3.75 pts and an all green screen to the tune of 1.7 pts

The trip is fine today and with the weather holding up, the going is fine also, and having been available to trade in all nine of his hurdle races to date I'm thinking that Rajnagan can do us a favour and get us a decent trade in the 3.55 this afternoon. Since the fitting of a tongue tie he has traded all the way to odds on in five of his seven racea and traded easily in the other two. Back in a handicap today should pose no problems having won four already and he would have added to that tally in his last race had it not been for a last flight blunder. Backed at a healthey 9.6 leaves us needing an in running lay off price of 5.7 for an all green screen to the value of 1.3 points or for the more ambitious a lay off price of 5.1 for an all green screen to the value of 1.75 points. Dear me, I look at all the rules for driving and I must admit to getting some of the signs wrong when reading the highway code !!  Anyway this afternoon I would like to think that we can get a trade from a horse of the same name in the 2.05 at Fontwell in Highway Code. His run at Aintree will have blown the cobwebs away, all types of going seem to come the same to him having been available to trade in eight of his ten hurdle races and in all and in five from five when ridden by Charlie Poste, who also has a decent strike rate for this stable. This is not one for the faint hearted as his jumping can leave a lot to be desired having fallen twice so far. this is not the most competitive Class Three and I'm hoping he goes well for long enough to give us a trade. Its always a risk taking an early price but at this time of day its all we have to go on. Available at 8.6/8.8, to two points win as always, would leave us needing:

In the first at Bangor this afternoon I think we may get a trade from a hore having just his sixth outing over fences and who goes fairly when fresh, allthough not the most fluent of jumpers (fell once) Mr Syntax is a horse who gives his all and has managed to trade in four of his five chases to date. Back into grade four company for his seasonal debut and Brian Hughes back on board, he should go well enough today to at least get us a decent all green screen. Mr Syntax has traded down to odds on in five of the seven races when ridden by Hughes failing to trade just the once.
