You’ve probably seen Foyles that they plan to supp them both back in?
People having backed Albert will be hoping the oracle will be performed, but I’d said this earlier : “But if Albert shows it’s to add that element of doubt for the punters. Why because that’s what do, make you question who’s the number one.” They can’t resist it! Anyone supporting the colt come on tell us if you’re lapping up the 16/1? Strange the RP entries show Gstaad but have Albert as a non! |

There’s even 2 firms offering 20’s
The one that you mentioned the other day about knowing about Non runners first have eased your selection to 25/1 I see Kings Trail is entered for the Dante and Al Zanti, as well as Publish! |

Apologies mistype to have added Masar as having done the craven guineas double earlier on on here.
Recent Notable Performances While not winning both, recent Craven Stakes winners have often gone on to run well in the 2000 Guineas: Native Trail (2022): Won the Craven and finished 2nd in the 2000 Guineas. Masar (2018): Won the Craven and finished 3rd in the 2000 Guineas, later winning the Derby. Skardu (2019): Won the Craven and finished 4th in the 2000 Guineas. Haatem (2024): Won the Craven before running 3rd in the 2000 Guineas. Field of Gold (2025): Won the Craven finished 2nd Interestingly both Masar and Master of the Seas were well beaten at long odds on in prep races held in Dubai. Talk of New York (an April foal) was beaten @ 4/9 in the Jumeirah 2000 recently. If history repeats he’ll be in the Craven as both the two above were given preps like him in Dubai. Kings trail is 101 16/1 12’s generally Hidden Force 103 25/1 20’s generally Talk of New York 98 top 16/1 14’s generally |

Foyles have you read the comments on these @ Godolphin?
Kings Trail won his first two races, including a conditions event at Kempton that has produced a 2,000 Guineas winner; stays a mile; acts on the AW; type to win more races. Hidden Force Has won both of his 2 starts; over distances of 7f and a mile on the AW. Talk of New York “created a fine impression when winning over 1m at Kempton on his debut in October 2025; acts on AW and stepped up on that, despite greenness, at Meydan on his turf debut in February 2026; seems sure to improve and win more races.” It’s odd that they say two will win more races and they have KT as winning the same race as Notable Speech not HF. ![]() |

That’s the thing, when are the craven entries made?

Could Varians horse be destined for the French 2000?
Talk of New York to run in the Craven (as history has shown they like to prep their runners there) Kings Trail straight to the Guineas then Dante? With either Hidden Impact or Morris Dancer in there too as the speed horses. |

Publish to run in the Craven not a route that I like for Guineas horses.
Anyone know when the entries for this are out? |

Looking back at last years odd before the Craven had been run Field Of Gold had been 25/1 for Guineas glory.
Publish is now 9/2? Looks awfully off to me. From the Sun FIRST there was 25-1, then 6-1, then 5-1, 3-1 and eventually 11-4 – bookies simply could not keep up with the surge of cash for John Gosden’s new 2000 Guineas favourite. AI Overview Field Of Gold was priced at 25-1 for the 2000 Guineas before his dominant victory in the Craven Stakes. Following his impressive performance in the 2025 Craven Stakes, bookmakers slashed his odds to 3-1, making him the favourite. Sky Sports Sky Sports +1 Pre-Craven Odds: 25-1 Post-Craven Odds: 3-1 |

So either this horse has grown and filled out over the winter and is battering FOG on the gallops or they having a laugh or a bit of both!
I’ve added this for memory sake and comparison : Field of Gold (121p from 110p) propelled himself to the head of Timeform's three-year-old ratings with an impressive victory in the Craven Stakes at Newmarket that marks him out as the one to beat in the 2000 Guineas. Field Of Gold earned a Timeform rating of 121p, narrowly passing the benchmark set by Shadow Of Light who was Timeform's champion juvenile last season with a rating of 120. Field Of Gold, winner of the Solario Stakes at two, had ended his juvenile campaign with a rating of 110p but showed much-improved form on his reappearance in the Craven to comfortably quicken three and a half lengths clear of Royal Lodge winner Wimbledon Hawkeye. The only Craven winners who have been rated higher after the race in the last decade are Native Trail (122p) and Masar (123) who both went on to finish placed in the 2000 Guineas. Field Of Gold's victory continues a fine spring for owners Juddmonte who have also been successful with talented colts Cosmic Year (111P) and Jonquil (112p), and landed the Nell Gwyn at Newmarket with improving filly Zanzoun (104p from 84p). There has to be a lurker in the field at bigger odds, the Craven entries will tell us lots especially regarding Applybys runners. |

But I don’t trust Diamond Jhonnu G Delashay • March 31, 2026 3:39 PM BST I see Kings Trail is entered for the Dante and Al Zanti, as well as Publish! To take the Too Darn Hot route to the Irish Guineas I expect they never thought that he’d like Newmarket is my gut feeling. |

Not bet it yet but Talk of New york catches the eye. It was 19 at the time of posting, current price seems a bit short. |
|
By:
A bit!
![]() Yes it was a much bigger price and the market is crazy at the moment, I noticed the drift from favouritism yesterday for Publish. As said earlier Glas I think he’ll show up in the Craven and perhaps this extra slash is in anticipation of that. Delashay • March 31, 2026 3:59 PM BST Interestingly both Masar and Master of the Seas were well beaten at long odds on in prep races held in Dubai. He was double diggis then (March 31st) and despite being the lowest rated of the 3 is shortest price.
Ludicrous ![]() But you must be happy! |

NO AOB runners entered into the French Guineas runners this weekend.
|
|
By:
There’s NO trail for French 2000 Guineas entry with straight track form (Rayif the Aga Khan) colt, it worked with the filly who’s in the 1000 trial the Grotte the other day and presumably didn’t please.

I’m surprised that Talk Of New York doesn’t feature in the Craven, would be a big move to go for the Guineas on its 3rd start. |

Cheers Glas I’ve seen, missed it earlier!
A run to see how he handles the track, see it’s hooded first time also. Watched back the race in Dubai was keen for about two furlongs, did well to finish off. Distant Storm the Greenham? Still waiting to see the entries. Hannon’s Lost Storm entered for tues conditions race that Talk Of goes for and also the Craven on Thursday. |
|
By:
Johann it’s only he the one run really needed at least another I’d of thought, but did see in the form comments that it said promising, so one to look out for.
Never know Impossible if it’s gonna make it or not? |

So far this thread has put up two selections for the 2000 guineas way before time.
Glas is sitting pretty with second Fav Talk Of New York 6/1 7/1 who runs Tuesday and should bolt and shorten further. Was 19 on here 14/ 16/1 with the books. Foy has put up a couple but backed Hidden Force @ 25/1 now general 14/1 16/1 and runs in this weeks Craven. Mine bit the dust Publish but I went off it and was able to lay off. Awaiting the Greenham entries, presume because Morris Dancer is massive that he’s not going and the path is open for Godolphins Distant Storm top price 12/1 The Guineas now looks like not being such a strong race as it did with those falling by the wayside. Shame as it’s one of my favourite races and betting races of the year. The sprinter (and I never declared him that) Albert is now as low as 8/1 because of the lack of depth for one. |
|
By:
Young Albert enters for the Greenham!
![]() |
|
By:
Along with Talk of New York but Buick entered on another
His conqueror from Dubai Title Role in the and the Vintage winner Zavateri As is Aqpan for Varian with retained rider Demuro making the trip, was 2nd on debut behind Hidden Force (labelled eye catcher) |
|
By:
Albert Einstein, who could still be supplemented back into the Group 1 race on Saturday May 2 and can be backed at 8/1 as things stand, is a slightly surprising addition to the Greenham, Newbury’s Classic trial won by Frankel en route to his devastating Rowley Mile success in 2011.
Turns out it was a computer glitch! ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
Couldn’t they use this entry fee money in a positive way and give to charities rather than enter horses for races that they aren’t going for?
![]() |
|
By:
Magnier and charity do not go together. Did you not know?
|
|
By:
Of course but there was a tread complaining that they’d have to pay 60,000 to supp both horses first the guineas that were withdrawn, yet they throw money away on non runners!
|
|
By:
More money than sense comes to mind, a few on here are like that!
