Not bet it yet but Talk of New york catches the eye. ![]() The Crisfords were talking fondly of the purple silks that beat him. I’d posted the similarities to him ToNY and others that they’ve prepped in Dubai Glas. |

Here Glas in case you missed. I learnt from this forum about foaling dates. If you check through not many Guineas winners are foaled that late.
You’d of saved a few quid by avoiding them. Yes they place but not many win. Two that bucked that trend recently were both trained by Balding. Kameko 7th April 10/1 And the latest winner I recall Chaldean 10th of May.. 5/2 Both were below par Guineas. Delashay • March 24, 2026 8:20 AM GMT Why would I like to see the craven skipped? For me it’s not a positive going into the Guineas, the best performances tend to be from horses having their first run there that year, something potentially gets left behind in the Craven. It’s just my recollection over the years, I’ve seen plenty of impressive Craven winners (last years winner Field of Gold a prime example) and it’s always paid to stand your ground and go against them. Since 2004 Only Haafhd And Masar 2028 Have done the double. Master of The Seas went close to winning the Guineas in ‘21 when second to Poetic Flare. Interestingly both Masar and Master of the Seas were well beaten at long odds on in prep races held in Dubai. Talk of New York (an April foal) was beaten @ 4/9 in the Jumeirah 2000 recently. If history repeats he’ll be in the Craven with Hidden Impact the joker in the wings and a switch from Buick. The only twist is where Morris Dancer goes? (Another April foal so to do what he did last year was a bonus) |

He’d said that PRico or Gstaad were to join Albert at Newmarket When you look at the formlines he was the one anyway, going there without a prep run, his traditional method. It doesn’t pay to listen to him at all! Now imagine the Price of Gstaad if he’d of said he’s our only runner at Newmarket! ![]() As we expect PRico to go France. But it all goes back to last year, a narrative was laid down back then, the sleight of hand! When there was all the talk about his best horse missing the Coventry! Sold people a dummy way back then! Crafty AF! ![]() |

Racing Post Sunday 19:35, 29 March 2026
Speaking at a public workout at the Curragh on Sunday, the trainer also offered an update on his 2,000 Guineas squad following Albert Einstein's surprise defeat on Saturday, with Gstaad, a top-priced 7-1 chance for the Classic, partnered by Ryan Moore in his work. If Albert Einstein does not go to Newmarket, Ballydoyle will still be responsible for at least one big contender, with Group 1 winners Gstaad and Puerto Rico in the mix. O'Brien added on Sunday: "Ryan was riding Gstaad this morning and he had it in his head that he could be the horse for Newmarket. Obviously, Puerto Rico is there, and we'll see how they come out of the work and see how Albert Einstein is as well. "I'd imagine Ryan picked to ride Gstaad because he's thinking of him for Newmarket, but we'll see how the next couple of weeks go." |

If you scroll up you’ll see that what I’ve said, a plot was laid out last year (going into Ascot and the Coventry stakes) it’s still running now.
I’ve posted to remind you all how there was a double switch. When Albert was to miss the Coventry it was supposed and reported that Darwin would run instead. Then we had the switch with Gstaad, I rembered how Trapman and everyone else was saying who’s your best 2yr old? Does that ring any bells? Do people remember? Well surprise surprise the substitute ended up getting course experience in the Dewhurst, which if you’ll watch he ran too freely and was reigned back by Soumi (who I don’t think rides the track well) He then stayed on reversing form and looking much bigger than Zavertari who’d beaten him earlier in the year. I expect him to go off Fav and be their sole runner. But if Albert shows it’s to add that element of doubt for the punters. Why because that’s what do, make you question who’s the number one. Hence the story of Moore being onboard Gstaad yesterday and talking about Newmarket with the press for the fodder of punters. |

FOYLESWAR • March 16, 2026 5:02 PM GMT yeah the hype machine in full swing but on the bright side albert e will make the market for others still too early for me to form an opinion but will keep an eye on the markets. Yes I was going to put a thread up saying how rare it is not to have a clear favourite, just before the hype, it was 8/1 the field. So own up who’s backing old Albert to get from A to B without disappearing into a wormhole?! ![]() The horse that showed me the most talent was Publish in his defeat to Bow Echo. Delashay • March 17, 2026 10:26 AM GMT Re watched the Ascendant Stakes at Haydock, Billy Boy Buick, handled the horse on a schooling mission, not straightforwards but he was doing a job for his old guvnor. The other Billy gave Bow Echo 4 in the run in, Buick just gave one, horse was looked after with the future in mind. A few racing cliches there but that’s my reckoning on watching it back. |

Glas and any others, are the above considered as opinions?
![]() I’ll say this to add another, for me now the horse is too short, currently fav on the machine and has yet to be seen. All we have is the article from the post where Gosden said that the horse was pleasing them. It’s much like the talk about Albert. Nothing has changed since the 17th of March when it was 8/1 the field, yes with the exception of having seen Albert who on the 17th was a 9/1 10/1 shot. It’s an open race but we’ve had no trials and whilst he did make the market for a while as Foyles said he would which I agreed with, nothing has altered with regards the chances of the others who should still be bigger than they are currently. I mentioned elsewhere on the AP section that I have my doubts about his head carriage and wonder if Newmarket will suit? Expect to see him in the Greenham not the craven. Would I be backing now at 4/1 ? NO wif! |

'We've always liked him a lot' - confidence growing as Gosdens' Guineas contender is cut again for Newmarket 18 March 2026 The story about the Colt came out the day after my comment when I backed at a double figure price. |

4/1 for a horse that doesn’t want any cut?
![]() This is worth re reading to remind yourselves The John and Thady Gosden-trained runner is 16-1 for next year's 2,000 Guineas and looks one of the most exciting two-year-old talents in training. The son of Kingman was an eyecatching second in a quality Sandown novice last month before going one better in impressive style 20 days later. He was taken out on Friday night due to the soft ground at Sandown. The going is good, good to firm in places at Haydock, although there are showers in next week's forecast. John Gosden said: "I spoke with Rab Havlin and William Buick about the ground after racing at Sandown on Friday and decided to take Publish out as it was too soft for him. "He's quite a tall, rangy horse and I just don't think he would have been able to get his feet out of the surface. We gave him an easy bit of work this morning and the plan is to reroute him to the Listed Ascendant Stakes at Haydock next weekend." Pyledriver is among the high-profile winners of the Ascendant Stakes in recent years, while the Gosden stable was successful ten years ago with Foundation. Considering he didn’t even win at Haydock but ran well, doesn’t make him the current price with the doubts in mind. |

kings trail is another unbeaten godolphin colt won cosily at kempton last weekend ,obviously useful and 16s best firms around 20 odd on here ,they have at least 4 to choose from and 1 or 2 may go french gns imo so may be a watching brief for now regarding that one till things look a little clearer .

Cheers Foyles I saw the clip of him with your other selection, he’s seen more as Derby type? I’d have him bigger that the one that you put up.
His odds were 22/1 12/1 25/1 20/1 now 12/1! Which is far too short for me having only had two runs! What to make of AOB’s withdrawals today? Was it an accident!? |
