In terms of Digital IDs and the control of your life and right to live we just have to be wary we dont end up as the ‘useless eaters’ discussed.

Just to point out vibe-coding is really a term to bring people who don’t write code into using AI tools to create basic software applications. Currently the company mentioned seems to be changing it’s stance to you need to be more realistic in terms of the knowledge you need to create production software for customers and are evolving that way. In time AI could reach a point where it can do it all but it is a long way off without technical knowledge to produce more complex applications.

Fortunately I have avoided Ryanair for many years and the move to digital only will reinforce my avoidance of a rather nasty foreign airline. Easyjet allow digital or a paper copy with the necessary info for the scanner plus a passport of course.

And so back to the thread title, that these ID’s should need a smart phone is all you need to know as to why they should be opposed and the public very afraid.
They are nothing but trackers, no one but no one has questioned what if your phone is stolen!  All those eggs in that one device, money, ID etc…. Nah thanks. |
