Terrible bit of riding really. The horse came out of his hands and he was unbalanced
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- top jump jockey is spot on imv. |
By:
Dixie...
i don't think anyone ever says that a pundit should say 'that horse was stopped - they're cheats'... but it's the total lack of any sort of scruting that annoys folk like me tbh. |
By:
scrutiny.
By:
Well if Mick Fitz has that opinion who are we to argue?
By:
Summed up succinctly by Chapman.
Naturally, the certifiable dickster will continue to rant. With regards to a Byrne interview it is highly likely that he would decline to comment pending the IHRB Investigation (I know that I would ) |
By:
Teenagers are fearless…..
By:
that ex rider been jock apologist fitzy as he repeated the stunt man quote on TV this morning,
so has Megan had the knock from plod or a slander/libel letter from the BYRNES,did AP take Lydia to court ? |
By:
I doubt the 'top jump jockey' explained why he made no attempt to stay on. Self preservation instinct is natural, unless you are already prepared...
By:
but not always brainless Aceform
By:
Meg was born on a horse, and has no baggage as the stable she was born into has always been as clean as a whistle.
By:
that's why Chappers is a low grade mouth piece journo ,who,s never going to break a story because he,d rather protect his texts from Murphy,AOB,etc both of which he,s landed today to make him look like he,ds in the no,
WHEN IN REALITY HES REALLY JUST THEIR USEFUL IDIOT |
By:
Not sure why he had to ask this jockey for his opinion (if he did). Other than he couldn’t think of any other reason why he fell off.
By:
if Chappers believes that why didn't he tell Megan to shut up,tell the audience that's not his or this shows position,he was the presenter
have balding /Murphy put their lawyers on to kia ,lucky and racing TV ? |
By:
You are now rivaling dickster 1st time thinker
By:
Anyway, what Chapman may or may not get into trouble for in a work environment is not the same as the lawful one.
By:
did anyone take BOLGER to court ?
did pipe take cook to court ? |
By:
Professional suicide for a presenter.
Remember Mark Winstanley? He didn't last too long after suggesting that,"the horse won't need a visit to the dentist after that ride". It's alright being a two bob poster on here as there is little to fear |
By:
Good on Jim bolger. Spoke the TRUTH. And yes still plying his trade with no court cases to worry about. Judge doesn't believe what his eyes are telling him. Time for another booking into the shrinks chair methinks. Oo oooh we need proof. Guilty as hell. Full stop.
By:
It is hard to believe that someone who makes his living from the game would then seek to rock the boat, so even if this ‘top jockey’ had said Byrnes was obviously jumping off there is no way on earth he would have repeated it.
By:
no one appears on TV racing more than Megan she,s daughter of UK,s biggest. best known trainer, she said on live TV in her opinion he jumped off,
are you saying she,ll be taking off TV ? |
By:
At the risk of repeating, getting into trouble with work is not illegal.
If people don't think pundits are allowed to suggest possible wrongdoing due to likely action by the suits at RTV, that's fine. But it's still not illegal. |
By:
Pundits are not averse to their own version of self preservation!
By:
was lydia taking off TV for criticising/insinuating AP and JP they ran a horse down the field to deceive punters ?
By:
Shmegan will soon be brought into line if she continues in the same manner no matter who's daughter she is as Chapman found out
By:
Ask a thousand fodder…..they will probably agree he jumped…..imo he definitely jumped….
By:
Ehhhhhh. What for speaking the truth judge. How does that work in your warped world???
By:
Of course he JUMPED ffs. It's not even debatable.
By:
Reality rules in my world dickster not your opinion
By:
Did he jump off or not judge? In your opinion. You won't get into trouble if you tell the truth. Yes or no.
By:

interesting listening to Megan Nichols on a facebook short video.. ive changed my mind. HE JUMPED. |
By:
lol ydc
By:
im serious elsie.
By:
I don't give a rats crap as I never back Byrnes horses
By:
so you never bet in races BYRNES has a runner,
why should a cheat be allowed to dictate what races we bet in ? |
By:
How can you punt any race he has runner? Columbo not solve the puzzle
By:
all brynes, lucky, Chappers, racing TV,moaning line .fitzy,AKA podcast has done this week is prove why racing is fooked and a minority sports that's getting smaller by the day and when its to late all of the above will be the 1st to scream/moan about it
By:
When Byrnes has a winner I can afford to miss it.
You are welcomed to guess,1st time thinker.I don't |
By:
Hibby - i totally agree that there should be more scrutiny from presenters but unfortunately they have a fine line to tread. This is the world we now live in where presenters/pundits are afraid to say anything that might rock the boat for fear of repercussions. It's true of nearly all sports, not just Horse Racing, until a case is proven people on tv just sit on the fence.
Its obvious to me what Chapman actually thinks - his opening paragraph reads "Punters were rightly stunned - and social media went in to meltdown - after a jockey was unseated on a horse that drifted like a barge at Wexford on Wednesday". But he goes on to say that unless a money trail is uncovered to support the accusations that he fell off on purpose, the case will likely be dropped. |
By:
The horse jumper the obstacle perfectly if you watch the close up,zero excuse to fall off it...a 7lb claimer wouldn't even get away with it.
By:
byrnes defenders want to watch themselves ,if a fall is life threatening and a jock cant stay on that, those who want to kill the game will be throwing it back at them, that NH racing is unsafe coming from the horses mouth, fitzy et al
