I'm expecting a re-imbursement of Premium Charges paid over the course of the last 16 years, now they know it was wrong to introduce it in the first place.

![]() [i]How do the calculations work? If you meet the criteria for the Expert Fee, then you will be charged a proportion of your Weekly Gross P&L equivalent to the fee rate you qualify. We will subtract any commission that has been generated in the week. And importantly, we are introducing the concept of the Buffer, which takes into consideration any losses or additional commission generated since you last paid Expert Fees, or moved to a new fee rate. The Buffer represents the gross profit that can be won before incurring further Expert Fees. We will calculate the Buffer at the start of each activity week as follows: The Buffer is the greater of: (Commission Generated Since Last Expert Fee Paid / Current Expert Fee Rate) - Gross P&L Since Last Expert Fee Paid (Commission Generated Since Last Rate Change / Current Expert Fee Rate) - Gross P&L Since Last Rate Charge *If the buffer calculation is |

Not sure why that cut off...try again...

my commission will be increasing from £1,000 to £10,000 pa....not worth it anymore, I'm cashing out and taking the liquidity with me!
By:
Flutter won't be doing this to help people. My question is. What's in it for them? And you must Always come to this equation when a corporation changes its terms.
By:
I imagine they will be concerned about what's happening to liquidity and see this as a possible way of attracting back some of those who upped sticks due to PC.

my commission will be increasing from £1,000 to £10,000 pa from £50,000 winning bets to £500,000 of winning bets? |
By:
Presumably Revs will go from not paying PC on £50k at 2% to paying 20%
By:
It's a bit gimmicky. Consistent small winners will benefit but a lot of bigger winners will opt for semi-retirement to avoid 40%. Liquidity could even drop

correct Latalomne

Falling liquidity is not in their interest, in any way, shape or form.

By:
lata would I be right in thinking it WAS possible to make 100k+ a year on here and pay no PC ? AND the new charge would make such a person pay 10's of thousands ?
By:
Up to a point, Howard. From memory, you had to be +£250k lifetime before PC kicked in.
By:
thanks. seems like the new charge makes becoming a pro gambler much harder

Presumably Revs will go from not paying PC on £50k at 2% to paying 20% correct Latalomne
He won't be the only one. This is not helping quite a number of fairly big players that didn't pay PC. |

I imagine they will be concerned about what's happening to liquidity and see this as a possible way of attracting back some of those who upped sticks due to PC. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- agreed... always think it's better for business to get more folk paying a smaller amount than having a few paying a larger amount... which is the intention here imv. |

so active week is 1 bet only...does not state how much

must be minimum steaks kjansch.

I would agree with a bookies model HH but way far from sure here. As Shuan said "Consistent small winners will benefit but a lot of bigger winners will opt for semi-retirement to avoid 40%. Liquidity could even drop" We will see if you're a business genius HH.
By:
if i was a business genius i wouldn't have been sat here for 20 years or so tbh howard.
By:
There can't be many 'big winners' who aren't already paying PC, and if they're not already, they certainly would have been before long, so I'm not sure BF will see they have much to lose from that perspective.
By:
PC is soley based on charges..if you turn plenty over it wont affect anything.
By:
i aint read the t&c's into this but surely PC is still based on charges..ie..your charges need to be under 20% before you pay it?
By:
i'm not sure you can call yourself a 'big winner' if you haven't hit the 250k threshold tbh Latalomne.
By:
Exactly, Hib

Presumably Revs will go from not paying PC on £50k at 2% to paying 20% how? |
By:
i thought PC was based on lifetime profits tbh Mr.Hunt...
i might be wrong tho... certainly wouldn't be the 1st time tbh. |
By:
There is that big difference between bookies and here. Bookies don't need liquidity in their markets the way Betfair does need it. We only have revs as an example but there will be many more. The other question is how many of the smaller players/losers were put off by PC ? Very few imo. They just don't like exchanges for many reasons which aren't anything to do with actual cash sums. |
By:
Rico - because the lifetime requirement has been removed.

HappyHibby 18 Dec 24 15:35
i thought PC was based on lifetime profits tbh Mr.Hunt... the different levels are yes..still based on your charges though. |
By:
Presumably Revs will go from not paying PC on £50k at 2% to paying 20%
surely if he isn't paying PC on that example due to paying a lot of generated commission, he won't either in this new fee |
By:
lata..are the weekly charges your acc accrues still relevant to your PC weekly PC calculations?
By:
Yes.
I am making the assumption Revs hasn't hit the current PC lifetime threshold, and he's not said anything to the contrary. |
By:
exactly pabs..unless your weekly charges are no longer relevant.
