I'm now convinced Boris will escalate this into WW3. He should be telling the Ukraine people to lay down their arms. Nobody should believe the MSM that "Brave" Ukraine is holding its own. Russia could completely flatten the Ukraine if it wanted to. Of course we have hordes of narcissistic celebrities making it all about them and cheering the whole thing on.....from the safety of their mansions. Also we have some of the most clueless, incompetent people in UK/US governments there has ever been. Johnson, Truss, Biden & Harris. Frightening!

Looking forward to the civil war that rages on for years....imagine if Western countries defused the situation by letting him think he'd won.
|

This won't do though. The arms industry and those who have vested interested in it (many of which have close ties to the Biden administration) will be rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect of such a war.

David Miller, a professor of political sociology at the University of Bristol
I think you will find that isn't correct GEORGE.B and he has been sacked for anti-semitism. Not of course surprising that someone of your profile would be absorbing information from an anti-semite. |

Vice President-elect Kamala Harris drew heavily from CNAS to advise her presidential primary campaign. The think tank is known for embracing conventional, pro-war foreign policy, as well as escalation toward Russia and China.
Anymore pictures for me, Glasgow? |

David Miller, a professor of political sociology at the University of Bristol I think you will find that isn't correct GEORGE.B and he has been sacked for anti-semitism. Not of course surprising that someone of your profile would be absorbing information from an anti-semite. The passage was taken from the 77th Brigade's wiki' page But in the interests of balance, as you were deliberately being economical with the truth, this is from Mr Miller's wiki' page: In his immediate response to his sacking, Miller said the university "has embarrassed itself and the entire British academic sector by capitulating to a pressure campaign against me overseen and directed by a hostile foreign government." Miller said he intended to appeal against the University's decision, possibly leading to an employment tribunal.[64] The Bristol Post reported on 6 December 2021 that "Details regarding Prof Miller's appeal hearing, taking place this week, remain confidential."[1] On 29 November 2021, Middle East Monitor reported that a leaked second QC's report "commissioned specifically to investigate a public talk that Miller gave in February and an article that he wrote for the Electronic Intifada a week later", as one of five elements in the university's wider investigation of the case, concludes that "there is no formal case to answer against Professor Miller" and that he had not "exceeded the boundaries of acceptable speech." The QC also concluded that the article was not antisemitic as "defined to include the manifestation of hatred, discrimination, prejudice or hostility against Jews as Jews, or Jewish institutions as Jewish institutions."[65] Jewish Voice for Labour made a copy of the second report available.[66] The Bristol Post stated that Miller's sacking came after a disciplinary hearing and two internal investigations that found his comments did not constitute unlawful speech.[1] |

"Bristol University: second report exonerates professor in anti-Semitism row"
https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20211129-bristol-university-second-report-exonerates-professor-in-anti-semitism-row/ What an absolute plonker davedumbers is. Googles person's name to try and discredit him, finds something about "anti-semitism" and immediately posts it without any further research ![]() |

I didn't sack him his employer did

By:
You didn't sack him Dave, but *YOU* did call him an "anti-semite" despite the findings of the QC.

By:
The All-Party Parliamentary Group Against Anti-Semitism (APPG) accused Prof Miller of "inciting hatred against Jewish students".
More than 100 politicians also called for action over the comments, made in February. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-58765052 yeah he was sacked for nothing - did any of these MPs apologise? |

Anyway getting back to your original post. Just so I'm clear on this, you believe that I am part of a British Army Unit called the 77th Brigade, posting on the Betfair forum? I really can't see why people call you a conspiritard at all.

Yes, which pre-dated the QC's findings.

I really hope betfair moderators aren't reading your posts GEORGE.B, they would have some explaining to do to the GC, as to why someone with paranoid delusions was betting with the company.

Are you denying it davedumbers?

What's the point of that, your paranoid delusions and conspiracy theories wouldn't stop?

anyway horse won't bet themselves so I have to go

davedumbers, I'm merely an observer, and this is what I've observed from you for nearly two years now:
Step out of line, question the narrative, davedumbers will soon be on your case to try and squash any dissent. He's got his "orders". And I gave examples, notably your reaction to the SHOCKING Pfizer trial data that they wanted to be kept hidden from the public for at least 75 years. What was it you posted in response to this: "all medications have side effects" I rest my case. |

The voice of reason - Peter Hitchens:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-10581335/PETER-HITCHENS-saw-coming-Thats-wont-join-carnival-hypocrisy.html "I have heard a respected MP calling for the deportation of all Russians from this country – all of them. I have heard crazy people calling for a 'no-fly zone' in Ukraine. If they got their way it would mean a terrible and immediate European war. I suspect they do not even know what they are calling for. Can you all please call off this carnival of hypocrisy? I cannot join in it. I know too much. I know that our policy of Nato expansion – which we had promised not to do and which we knew infuriated Russians – played its part in bringing about this crisis. I know that Ukraine's current government, now treated as if it was almost holy, was brought into being by a mob putsch openly backed by the USA in 2014. I know that the much-admired President Zelensky in February 2021 closed down three opposition TV stations on the grounds of 'national security'. They went dark that night. I know that the opposition politician Viktor Medvedchuk was put under house arrest last year on a charge of treason. Isn't this the sort of thing Putin does? I know that Ukraine's army has used severe force against Russian civilians in the Don Basin since 2014. The Russians have done dreadful things there, too, but there are plenty of people who will tell you that. The point is that this is not a contest of saints versus sinners, or of Mordor versus the Shire. I also find it awkward that, when Britain and the USA rightly denounced Putin's illegal invasion of a sovereign country, they seemed to have forgotten that we gave him the idea, by doing this in Iraq in 2003. Unlike them I can truly claim to have opposed both these actions. I tire of being told that Nato is purely defensive alliance when we know it bombed Serbia in 1999, incidentally killing civilians, when Serbia had not attacked a Nato member. I also don't recall Libya attacking a Nato member before that 'defensive' alliance launched the air war on Tripoli which also killed civilians, children included, and turned that country into a cauldron of chaos, benefiting nobody. And then there's the other thing that sticks in my gullet. The countries of the West have egged Ukraine on into a confrontation with Russia which has predictably ended in Putin's barbaric invasion. But while we stand and cheer at a safe distance, the Ukrainians are the ones who get shelled, bombed, besieged and driven from their homes. Is this honourable? Does sentimental praise for their bravery make up for it?" |

the war in syria is totally different to the war in ukraine. america's main involvment in the war in syria was to take out ISIS..........given what ISIS was doing in syria and that they were attacking europe, comparing what america did in syria to what russia is doing in ukarian is really dumb.....its typical of the anti western activists who live in the west.........

I cannot recall anyone forcing those countries to join NATO. Did we invade them and I missed it? Start believing that man and soon you will be looking for fairies at the bottom of your garden. |
