I must have seen 30-40 nurses/specialists/doctors recently, every single one of whom was passionate about social distancing and mask-wearing. Their observations regarding the non-believers and conspiracy mongers ranged from ridicule and derision to outright contempt and anger.

Despite all the cheer leading at Ukraine's brave defence of their country in truth it's the worst possible thing that could have happened from the western leader point of view, much better a quick and easy occupation by the Russians and in the process we are spared shocking scenes of murdered women and children, destruction and ruination, all the while ramping up the pressure on western govts to do something other than sanctions that Putin couldn't give a fook about anyway.

Nato now needs to call his bluff and challenge him, let him think that he's pushed it to the point where we couldn't give a flying fook what he brings, maybe then those close to him might start to think twice and take him down.

We are too quick to rule out direct military action, to him it smacks of weakness and why would he think that we would suddenly grow a moral backbone should he attack the baltic states just because they are in Nato.

If we are afraid of WW3 now, we will be then too.
