We see it all the time though, horses that don't tend to make the pace, all waiting for someone else to pick up the baton and then no-one does and it ends up like this. It may have been a different scenario had Monalee rocked up, I bet Nicholl's had a big smile on his face when he became a N/R. The whole picture of this race changed when he didn't turn up.
