no Betfair doesn't provide them Latalomne...

HH,

You seem permanently uptight and you don't read what is written properly

Listen, the pictures are not jumpy on the worst possible setting (normal) for me anyway, but I wouldn't use that setting anyway, but it also is not jumpy for me on the low setting either, which is what I use. It is jumpy on minimum and unusable.

All of this is not good though, it is very ungood....do you complain on twitter? or just batter about on here, I complain on twitter as they will not like seeing these complaints being liked and retweeted all over the shop....everyone on here should be doing that.

i have emailed people with authority and been ignored duffy...

i have made my feelings very clear on here...

i see loads of complaints on twitter...

and 3 WEEKS on we are in this disgraceful situation...

and what do we hear from Betfair...?

NOWT...

not even a robotic apology...

stop making excuses for them duffy...

they pay top dollar for a product that is unusable to most folk for in running purposes...

awful.

How am I making excuses for them??? what are you reading to come to that conclusionConfusedConfused

I'm saying they don't give a fack about us because I think they have a raft of others just using the LV to watch the race.

That is not making excuses for them it is trying to understand why they are not bothered.
By:
HappyHibby
When: 10 Sep 20 16:40
they're not bothered coz they clearly feel they get enough from vermin using drones / facetime pics / satellite dishes in their back garden...

meanwhile liquidity is just draining away before thier very eyes...
By:

Why do you think they made it available to watch a race without making a bet/trade first, it wasn't for I/R bettors benefit, it was to attract a wider audience to watch the races using Betfairs platform

When they trialled the faster pics we all assumed that the product was entirely I/R orientated, subsequent events has shown us otherwise and back then they were probably just showing us that as well as attracting new viewers it will also benefit us as an off shoot.

It's simple, whilst I/R players continue to suffer with nothing being done, it must mean we are not their biggest concern so it debunks what we all assumed back when it was trialled.

I'm still here and yes Betfair and ATR have been made aware. There is only so many times I can tell them there service is s**t. I haven't placed a bet on an ATR flat track for 4 weeks now. No point wasting time and money when already slow pictures are very poor quality.

I noticed Barry Orr of Betfair was on RacingPost Live today, so I tweeted him to ask him to have a look at this thread to see what their customers are saying about this service. Nothing as yet but to be fair he does usually reply.

A couple of other things going on in the background that I don't wish to mention on here. I'll keep trying and hopefully one day we'll get there!

I've not had a problem using LV on Normal

At all, Wes?  There have been countless times this past week where it's been utterly dreadful.  Wolves last night was as bad as I've ever seen it, and a couple of the earlier Donny races today, too.

i just watched the chepstow race on 'normal' and it was not smooth...

not saying it was as jumpy as 'minimum' or  'low'...

but there are still issues with it...

and when you take in the slowness then it makes it unusable for me...

Btw, the fast pics were a by-product of Flash being decommissioned & having to use an alternative.

Faster pics for IR was never the main objective.

Do you think that subsequent treatment by Betfair to it's customers suggest it was I/R orientated.

The argument that the mysterious few are somehow providing all the revenue to compensate is barmy all wrapped up in some sort of covid related conspiracy..crazy stuff.

customer service has been dreadful since BCM2 left duffy...

and that was years ago now...

so the treatment of customers regarding RTV BLV since June 2nd is meaningless imv...

altho they have at least put up 2 announcements of the Forum...

we have had absolutely nowt about the current ATR BLV issue...

and as you can see from the current ATR BLV issue (3 weeks and counting) it is dreadful...

customer service from most companies is awful i might add...

Yes this is what I was trying to get at, the faster pics were a bi-product of what was going on not the main objective, but when they showed us the trial we all assumed it was entirely for our benefit, but it was just showing us that it would help us too.

Consequently when it went wrong they were not in a hurry to fix it as the main thing, the pictures playing on a reduced setting...still work...for the very large majority..HH excluded of course.

Faster pics were never the main objective???

What on earth were you lot talking about during they rtv meetings then? And it has been one of the main objectives betfair/bootman etc
have been discussing for months. I get that those meetings were rtv but there's also been talks about sky lv speeds, if they rtv) can do it, and they have, surely sky could do as well

nonsense, there's far more in agreement with hibby in saying that sky pics on any setting is useless just now than the 2 or 3 saying it is fine
and I was one of them saying it was ok the other day, that lasted 24hrs then it was back to unplayable on any setting

You do realize that your continued assertion that fast pics was the prime objective is continually sunk by the fact they are doing nothing about it.
By:

So because we aint got the fast pics that is not the main objective the bootman has been discussing?
You do know Betfairs statement at the top of the job mentions the lowest possible latency in it dont you?

Ofc it was the prime objective, we've just been sold down the river due to either corruption or ignorance at best

you are getting confused between RTV and ATR BLV pics duffy...

RTV doesn't have a reduced speed thingy...
By:

james,

the main objective for RTV is to generate more revenue via the new turnover model hence all the bs graphics.

The faster pics was just a happy coincidence.

5 minutes out of a 2 hour meeting was spent on it - no-one else gave a phuck other than moi.

when you went to one of these focus group thingy's...

you were there coz you wanted more folk to join betfair and have lot's of pre-race bets did you...?

We apologise for the ongoing latency and variability in the Racing TV stream. Our supplier understands the issue and a fix is still underway. However, we are confident this will deliver the latency of the original trial alongside improved stability.

james,

all I can give you is my actually experience of what happened at the meeting at RTV.

If 2 hours is devoted to discussing their sh!tty graphics & then as everyone is getting ready to leave pic speeds is presented almost as an after-thought at the end, what would that tell you?

As you seem to believe in possible corruption anyway, it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to believe that they might just be saying that to fob you off!!
