if fast RTV BLV pics wasn't the objective then why are they working like trojans to try and fix it and give us what they did in February...?
why don't they just say... there are your pics with all the lovely graphics (that nobody wants btw)... the speed doesn't matter... end of story... |

You can't have it both ways, one minute it is a conspiracy with the select few having privileged access to the fast pics whilst crowds are off the track and it could easily have been sorted by now and the next minute you believe when they tell you they are working day and night to fix it. Which is it? |

i have no idea what is going on duffy...
i don't know who or what to believe... just find it weird (and i'm talking about RTV BLV now coz i know you get easily confused between the two) that they can produce something in February (and which is due to go live on April 1st) but they cannot re-produce it on June 2nd... and over 3 MONTHS later they still cannot re-produce... meanwhile it is blatantly obvious to anyone with half a brain that certain folk have access to faster RTV pics (by whatever means) than RTV BLV produces for stay at home folk like me... and i also have to add in drones and facetime scenarios to be fair... it's all very very weird imv... unfathomable tbh. |

Both arguments are correct. When I went down to meet RMG in May 18 they knew about Flash coming to an end. They were always just going to produce one stream that was for bookmaker streaming, but given I had proven how much money they were missing out on through piracy etc they accepted the need to produce a quick stream. They were looking at a stream which was around one second behind live. I told them it was too slow and it needed to be around 1/2 a second.
A year later they came back to me and said they now have the tech in place, via a US company, that will be able to produce that speed. It was expensive and someone would need to pay for it, hence I wasn't able to say anything over last winter with various contract talks. It appears Betfair were willing to pay. The aim was to get it ready by April this year. They said they would run some trial meetings. They did, as we all know they were a success 0.5 a second behind. What has gone on since then no one will explain, I cannot get a straight answer, i'm sick of asking now. I'm hoping I get the call in the next few weeks to say they are ready, Betfair who appear to be heavily invested in this keep telling me it'll happen, when God knows. |

Anyway the issue with the RTV pics, which saw us fighting over .2 or whatever it was with some happy to use the sky pics anyhow for the larger screen has now been superceeded by the ATR issue ad the new format.
bootman, Can you tell BF that ever since they implemented the same format for both sets of pics the ATR pics have suffered greatly...they need to revert those pics back to the original set up. This is a recent issue and is a more pressing problem than the existing one concerning the RTV pics that we've been discussing for months. This issue doesn't appear to be the problem that is being addressed. |
