Yes, interesting Dusty, SIS can't stream RMG tracks to Bookie customers, but racetracks may exempt from this Rights restriction. Now that you've said that, I think you've nailed it. SIS could well be 0.5s streaming to Racetracks (maybe elsewhere). That would be +0.5 at least ahead of BLV

That's the 0.5s or slightly more that everyone has been scratching their heads over. Also, if Phenix and BLV is down, that would explain why RTV players make hay

I think that's a light bulb moment. SIS are 0.5s streaming the RTV channel to certain places (racetracks etc.) whilst we end-users have the delay of using the same tech, but via a 3rd party
ATR are still using HLS which is now a legacy thing. I have no idea why they haven't been forced (by their customers, like VF) to change We always debate RMG, but ATR/TRP (or whoever it is are the formal rights holders) are stuck in the dark ages. The ATR/TRP tracks are only viable at the moment, because there's no fast streaming of those tracks to anyone |

I just meant area jurisdiction, It’s common for the same content to be supplied to different regions by different suppliers. If it were the case that the public in this country viewing the streams were getting a sub standard product while other regions received the intended one then that would be a travesty. I’ve read through Phoenix’s marketing material, and they attest to a product around 500ms to around 72% of customers and sub 1000ms to the rest, irrespective of how many viewers, on whatever platform situated anywhere in the world. If they are involved and the end product supplied to the end user is significantly worse than that then surely Phenix would want to know why their product is being made to look bad? They make it quite clear on their website that the benefit of their product is to open up markets and limit ‘fraud’. |

If the content is delayed, say because it goes via a 3rd party, then Phenix 500ms will be additive to whatever delay precedes
In the case of RMG tracks, Phenix are the Service Provider for the 500ms last hop to the end-user, but the pictures evidently incur some added delay before they reach Phenix. In the case of UAE via SIS, evidently there's no added delay before Phenix do the last hop |

Except that there will be some unknown delay getting the UAE pics to the UK in the first place. The Phenix last hop is 500ms additive to the delay from UAE to the UK
Thing is, nobody (probably) will be court siding at Meydan. Or, they will be so few in number so as to go unnoticed. I reckon UAE will be safe and fair in-running this season |

What Im interested to know is whether customers of other countries using bookies who arnt in the UK agreement for picture rights, whether they have a better product. The answer might not be that simple to find out as UK users have to prove their ID and that might scupper the service that they get as a result.
Its only conjecture at the moment, but its all certainly an interesting development. Either way there is clearly a viable product knocking at the door and I suspect there are certain people trying their hardest to cover their ears. |

BLV at Wolves was marginally better for me tonight,down to about 3 blackouts per race on average ,however the delay appears to have increased.
