I've been given a name of someone at SIS who will know the speed, so have messaged them but haven't had a reply as yet. At least it's competitive compared to the 15 seconds plus of the past few years. I was hoping to get a comparison to RTV via Sky but I doubt they will show a race live with Kempton and Chelmsford being on. Once I get the official speed, and if it's around the 1 second mark, i'll be raising its profile via twitter.

I've asked the BHA to carry out random checks on course for anyone betting in running from press room, tv trucks etc. Also asked about drones and things in pipeline.

Can you ask this SIS man for a list of suppliers they provide the 'SIS Stream' to please?
All the bookies they provide to are international and each one has either limited UK access, handed back the UK licence or outright banned access from the UK to their website.
This could simply be that they dont meet the GC's requirements....but it could also mean that UK agreements limit UK users from accessing international streams.
Could you ask them catagorically whether the UK one is delayed compared to the one supplied to international bookies?

Unless the content is uplinked to the satellite directly from the UAE, it's impossible for the dish to match BLV
It's still likely however that BLV is a good few seconds behind real-time because the first hop (over the internet or private network to the UK) is additive to the 0.5s fast streaming
