Ive looked at the most recent news on SIS saying they now have a contract with betlive.com
Ive gone to look and they do have streaming for the RTV tracks which might suggest SIS do indeed have the rights to RTV UK racing.
The question is whether they are also supplying this fast new product?

Anyone got an account with them?
The other Betsson Group are supplied also, but have handed back all licesnces to the GC recently offering no service to UK residents

I doubt they will be quicker but Ill be happy to stand corrected.
But if they were faster then it would clear up one puzzle over the last couple of months....

Please note that, in the short term, ATR streams will not achieve the same latency of the streams offered by RTV.
By:

When: 30 Oct 20 17:52
latalomne, they never have, think statement more of a safeguard than an indication maybe slower

Ah, OK.

Isn't the implication that they think it should be possible, though?
By:

When: 30 Oct 20 18:03
could be read a few ways i suppose, could even be that there aware RTV's SUPPOSED to be getting quicker and they know atr's cant keep up, i'm also sure it's not an accident that the statement is open to interpretation...

"in the short-term" says to me that the lack of matching RTV latency is a temporary thing.

Lets hope the prescence of this Phenix streaming product forces some integritty into the whole production of a betting media product, cos nobody is telling me that 745 @ newc just then was coincidence that in the last furlong it collapsed then started again as they passed the line.

I can't see anything changing in the immediate future. RMG rely upon a 3rd party for their streaming (Perform) (as observed by the delay), ATR use legacy technology (no idea why) and SIS only hold digital rights for the dogs and UAE. Which is a shame as SIS are the only ones achieving what was seen with the RMG trial. Unless RMG change direction, the industry will continue to get feeds via the 3rd party 'and all that that entails'

If the ATR streams are stable, it's because they're delayed (further). It's as simple as that

Just existing is pressure enough
How can a supplier argue against taking such a product?
I read through much of it today and its a compelling product for suppliers.

Has anyone determined yet if the new SIS agreement with Phenix is the product offered to bookies outside of the UK?
It would explain an awful lot.

When: 30 Oct 20 21:12
It could very well be that international users are getting a product us here arnt
If anyne thinks thats not possible just look at the agreement where Ireland got access to 3PM KOs where us in Britain wernt allowed them

On English PL football I might add

I don't think SIS streaming are streaming RMG tracks outside the UK as I don't think they have the rights
The man-in-the-middle thing with RMG feeds via a 3rd party probably explains the food-chain thing, especially as that 3rd party have allegedly misused content in the past. I stress that this is just alleged. I don't know of wrongdoing myself
By:
Big Cat
When: 30 Oct 20 21:15
BTW, I understand RMG also goes via phenix, with the difference that it goes via a 3rd party first
By:
Big Cat
When: 30 Oct 20 21:16
So RMG is fast streaming (.5s), but add on the delay by the 3rd party

It's all there in nerdy Industry Mags... Not the kind of mags I was interested in two decades ago haha
By:

When: 30 Oct 20 21:18
Thats certainly a line of questioning for thebootman as it would suggest people get an exclusive stream and have the potential to use it themselves.
Those SIS supplied bookies do have UK racing from what Ive established, but only on RTV tracks
