For what it's worth lads I bet quite often on Irish racing and never have any problems with buffering or slow pics. I'm no techy genius but I'm guessing it's because there is less liquidity and less punters watching these races?

Racingtv provide the pics for Ire stewarty which performs much better than sky but, so I've been told on here, has a longer pic delay than Sky
Sort of if you put sky on 'normal' the quality goes up but the delay makes it pointless to use |

sky lv actually been a bit better than normal here today, still a mile behind but not as sticky as usual
rtv has seemed very slow, carlise in particular seems way behind |

ta, RTV still fraction in front of TV? If so i'd suspect more other players rather than slowed, no1's got the power to alter tv speed imo

no clue mate, as far as i understand (which is very limited) channels are issued a server from sky and dont have the "play" they seem to have with streaming.

i was always of the understanding that HD will always be slower than SD...

i was told if you have a proper all the bells and whistles tv (i don't) switch it into "game mode" and your pic will be faster...

I can confirm BLV pictures quicker than RTV pictures so if any paying subscription to RTV cancel and save yourself £25 pound a month have raised the issue with RTV and surprise surprise no reply so stick with the free BLV pictures and save yourself £300 a year

All joking aside watch the live feed from RTV at any jumps meeting Jamesdean with BLV clearly behind I brought this up with RTV saying why is this and as usual was fobbed off with normal nonsense from the suppliers so cancelled my subscription on the spot just watch the flag go down at the start of the race BLV clearly quicker I know it’s only marginal but it all counts and if you are paying for a service you expect it to be at least level with a free service if not quicker nothing short of scandalous in my mind

Well system 99 RTV promised us .5 behind pictures from April what happened to that all I’m saying is if anyone is still paying a subscription to RTV save yourself £300 a year it’s all a fkn joke we are being shafted by all

No self respecting IR worth their salt neither; A). Pays 300 quid for a channel they can usually get for half that B). Cancels RTV to save 150 quid when BLV in any of its guises tends to fail at some point or other pretty consistently. Anyone who honestly thinks otherwise shouldn’t be gambling. |

writz mate maybe i am reading it wrong but RTV the tv channel have never promised/offered a fast pic service, it's betfair video who made this promise that its video RTV tracks would be 1/2 sec behind live.

Tbf, it was RTV who touted this 0.5 secs behind live claim when they brought out their questionnaire last year & repeated claim this in their focus group meetings.

Betfair are just as much to blame, it is them we log into every day not rtv. Plus Betfair pay the providers the money and Betfair take
our commission, not rtv. They are BOTH to blame. Since rtv have shown they can provide live video to 0.5 behind live in February, Betfair should be accepting nothing less, especially 4 months on for a fix that was meant to take a few weeks. Both complicit imo |

Everytime bootman referred to RTV i assumed it was RTV VIDEO he was talking about, always classed RTV VIDEO and RTV TV as separate enterties, again why do we whine at betfair then? has shat all to do with them in the bigger picture..

probably better to just wait for the quicker pics, than to complain imo
people have waited since the inception of betfair ( 10 years for me ) for quick pics that will level the playing field , a few more weeks/months isn't going to hurt . sure we want them now , but , at least RTV are trying to make this realistic, whilst the other channel can't even produce slow pics without stuttering |
