Not Sky, I know, but Beverley race went bad there just before the start.  Awful pic quality in the end but not as delayed as they usually get.

see that last race yarmouth strange, i had mine on but also could see in real time a friends from London and mine was good ran smooth on minimum, but theirs was completely unplayable and i know both their internet and pc are as good as you can buy...

no logic to it at all...

ps i saw the RTV races b4 and after it run fine so they were not having any broadband issues

Betfair probably cut back on bandwith/servers therefor cannot stream a smooth fast lv to any more than 6 people at one time

A bit like when you are watching a video on you tube and your children have their mates over and they are all watching netflix in different bedrooms
or playing the x box live online thus making your stream **** as they are throttling the internet. Soon as the children fk off or go to bed and you
only one using stream again, you go smooth. Russian roulette as to who gets a decent stream

The fix...pay for more broadband or get a better line/server fitted that can deal with demand

in this instance that cant be the answer to this sadly, as their broadband which was the one stuttering constantly is a dedicated line my friend pays stupid amounts of money for.

You have misinterpreted JD's post, mate.  He's saying BF need to pay more, not the end users.

I still don't understand how two people can have two such different experiences simultaneously, though.  Without knowing anything about "throttling", I would have assumed everyone would be affected in the same way at the same time?  Surely it's not a first-come, first served, basis, whereby those who click on the link get a great experience and those joining later get a progressively worse one?

yeah it's how i always thought it would be, but this for me as i saw it happen in real time brings me back to the idea the provider knows their product is flawed and are boosting power in some way to different areas of the country on a race by race method in  an effort to hide how bad the product is by ways of being able to question the facts - ie -"no it's not that bad jo blogg's ran fine" another race "no jeff blogg's ran fine"

I think it is just random. Could be to do with location as well though

Adamant if they paid more though, it would be smoother for everyone. Theyve mentioned this years ago when we had similar issues with live video, they
actually expanded bandwith/.servers etc and it worked...could be sky/atr that are scrimping as well though as rtv, although slow, is usually smooth

I think when flash went, RTV paid for a decent format where as sky/atr went for the cheaper option

Betfair should be insisting a better service from the providers AND making sure everything is top noth at their end.
It's cutting corners that has led to this sh1t

i saw this so had a look to see who provides pic and can't find reference to any other 3rd party other that ATR, but if it's from them since day dot they have had no interest in speeds, just free race pics.

p.s - ABBOT DIRE

never used to bother with Betfair LV but have been giving it a go since realised there was a Vid option on GRUSS...it's unusable...wasnt under the impression it was soo bad, as some seemed to use it full time on here...has it deteriorated badly for some unknown reason?

Absolutely pathetic stuff - its totally unplayable. How nice was it to have the majority of racing from wednesday to saturday all on RTV - theres going to lot of days off in the winter when theres 2 afternoon meetings which are just on Sky video.

jimmy, you keep acting like they're "unaware" of what's going on. It's plain and simple, THEY KNOW. And since THEY KNOW, there's only 1 of 2 possible reasons why they ain't interested in fixing their benny hill show. 1) They don't give a ****. 2) They're in cahoots with the cheating scummy **** who are deliberately messing with it.

Maybe them at top dont know snipey and if they were to find out maybe they would put some pressure on the 'live video team'

I use the live video team loosely

I have notice on minimum that the early part of the race can be relatively clean but definitely goes erratic/stuttery at the business end of the race.
Imo, this smacks of OUTSIDE interference. Some in/running players are smart and could do this?
By:

When: 20 Sep 20 12:45
agree it seems to start well before going all to fk halfway a lot
By:

prime example there 2.20 plumpton, fine first half of race then coincidentally goes all to fk at the business end

Any of you bet on darts?  The "live" scoreboard on Billy's site progressively gets further and further behind as each match goes on.  I wonder if it's something similar here...

Still doesn't make sense to me why everyone wouldn't have EXACTLY the same experience in every race if it was an outside influence.
