But was the change because they could see that more people were betting in-running and thus needed to spread the bandwidth thinner with less pointless screen showing, or is it more sinister?

Who knows

Why don't they just revert to what they had though until they get a better fix?  Same with the rtv fast trial, just use the trial format
until we get the proper one...why wouldnt they?

Thiink I've just answered my own question

I cant see who would gain by having a stream so bad that it makes using it for in running impossible so I dont think it is deliberate.I also cant understand why after this amount of time Betfair haven't improved it.Are they still trying to find a solution?

Hexham was perfect till the dip on the first circuit.  Just about usable after, but still stuttery.  Best of a bad bunch so far.

You assume everyone has access to the same rubbish stream.

yah you have a chance on the jumps even allowing for the new extra delay and the stutters - but you got no hope with the flat, if you get matched you know your doomed.

I suppose letting people who lose at in running betting have a decent stream might benefit a few.

Its the anti-exchange bookies who wag the tail of the dog in winning contracts and not caring about IR interitty.

Betfair on the other hand stay silent while collecting PC from their customers when the onus should be on them using that PC money to win the media rights and present a proper LV product.

I just got an email from BF with a survey about horse racing.  Expecting this to be the perfect opportunity to lambast them about their appalling IR product, I was quite surprised when I was informed that I'd completed the survey after 5 very basic questions, none of which gave you the opportunity to tell them anything meaningful about the service provided!

Look at the liquidity matched on the last WINNER at Yarmouth, shocking. All this because Betfair cannot supply a decent live video stream
for THEIR CUSTOMERS to use

1.01        £37,794    £10,556
1.02        £360    £700
1.03            £248
1.04            £3
1.05            £131
1.06            £2
1.07            £25
1.08            £1

I was shocked that Lethal Angel wasn't traded below 2.18.  I thought it would have gone 1.5 or less.

I had to delete some pictures off the ipad the other day as the storage had maxed out
Looking through I found a pic of a settled bf market from 2013
Between the odds 1.01-1.05 there was nearly 200k matched

Thats what happens when the business position is to take all the money out the markets through PC instead of improving the integrity of IR betting.

Why spend money attempting to coax new customers at all?
They arnt going to stick around and bet IR with the rubbish served up.
