Apologies for my post 18:32 earlier too I'd just had dinner and didn't know you had a lay until a few mins before race hadn't even looked at horse.

Striding,
I didn't see the final prices, i wouldn't have posted minutes before the off anyway. I have 3 more days left to reach the 66 lays, but the way i'm going i wouldn't be confident of laying tomorrow is Sunday.
|
By:
except I haven't had dinner yet and I didnt see it till they were off.
| ||||||||
|
By:
Yes Andrew I was just worried you had left the bet up in case it came in to your price, which it did.
Always nice to swerve one ![]() That place is a dump, anything in those egg and spoon hcps that has shown anything is dangerous.
|
By:
This smacks of the Lord trying to tell you “keep your powder dry” and lump it on Altior @ 8/11 to win the Tingle Creek tomorrow instead.
But what do I know? ![]()
|
By:
Striding,
No i didn't bother. When i posted it was 4.40, drifting and i didn't want to chase the price so i cancelled it. Someone is looking down on me, if i had got matched earlier it would have taken £135 out of the P/L with only 3 days left. I'll give it a miss today, there's not much left anyway. I've got a box of Stollen bites to get through watching the snooker instead. ![]() Happysandwich, You could be correct. I feel Altior will take a lot of beating although he's not a certainty of course. Course and going won't be issue obviously and there will certainly be pace with UDS and Saint Calvados so the race will suit him (and SC). He tends to hit a flat spot on occasion and it's his first run on the season, but if he's within a length of them before the last flight i can see him pulling clear, he's so powerful on the run-in. It should be a good race. I'll give Ed a chance to get some of his Ten Sovereigns loss back but i won't be backing to the same level (I also had ante-post as well as Betfair on TS). Lalor could also be a winner for shortie backers, he looked really useful LTO.

Good morning Lampus and all,
Some decent races although many (15) not applicable for a lay due to the 5/2 odds limit and several at odds-on. I'm off to Sandown at 10.30 (mini-cab) so i will try to post before then, if not i have to rely on Wolverhampton. I forgot to update the table with the loss from Thursday Summary of lays (all stakes to win £50 per day):
Please note the running p/l excludes the applicable commission rate you are subjected to.

odds limit not working.

Good morning everyone.
Again London has excelled itself and provided Andrew with a glorious sunny day for his jaunt to the races. Not forgetting Lalor and Altior that will cover his expenses with a tenner to spare for a Cornish pastie (inflation). ![]()

+7 a month off 30 lays per month would be decent,

Andrew, your win bet today is Lalor, enjoy your hols

Good morning Happysandwich,
Cloudy in the Heathrow area at the moment, albeit dry with mall pockets of Blue sky. First full day of vacation and i'm looking forward to Sandown. I'm not betting much there, in fact i'll probably only watch the first 3 races (no more than a fun bet if i do). Laying Apple's Shakira, backing Lalor (not big) and Altior (wary of UDS given the ground). Leaving after this race. I'll have a chat with Ed before racing starts if he's not busy. One horse i will back is Kagney in the 2.10 Navan. He's a horse i like and backed him a couple of times last season (also mentioned on the previous thread). Fitness on trust but he's an EW price (12 on here) although this is expected as it looks a decent race. Good luck.

Tanglefoot,
Thank you and good luck.

Andrew, Good Luck At Sandown today should done my brains there yesterday but was more drinking than gambling

I have laid Lalor at 1.81, although an impressive winner LTO and the form franked by Defi Du Sueil yesterday, Lalor has always struck me as a horse that often flatters but rarely wins, seems to run well after a break and has been beaten 3 out of 4 times when FAV or 2ND FAV. All the others have chances imo even though the ground may not suit the Irish raider; PP are also offering money back as a free bet if Lalor wins. All in all I have 4 or 5 running for me.

Why the cats away!
545 New King missed break last time, got up to 4th place at last bend but then weakened. Bad draw tonight and I think unless its got a lot of improvement it could get beat Theres a Appleby newcomer, Lucipherus might do better but I was impressed with Fields of Athenry last time , stable in form. If you do that one have a saver on Sunvisor who ran 2nd to it last time but had to overcome a wide draw, draw reversed tonight good luck if you play

Hi Guys,
Back in my hotel after an afternoon at a wet and windy Sandown (specially a few minutes before the Tingle Creek). Took a mini-cab there, but the train (2) back (thanks to TheAnorak for details recently) it was easy really. Met up with Flaskbookie (Ed Thompson) and his mate Brian, we had a good chat and a coffee, in fact i stayed with them for the first couple of races (i wasn't betting in the first 3 as i mentioned earlier anyway). Ed showed me his MO (software) that was interesting. A good day for me although i wish Apple's Shakira has been 5/2 before i left my hotel (i layed at 4.30 and 4.40) as i would have posted it as the lay today. The mare is over-rated and a lot of her 'hype' is based on a 17L win against an out of sorts Gumball a year ago and the high profile connections. The last thing she needed today was carrying 11 st 12 lb, giving a lot of weight away on heavy going (winner carried 10 st 2 lb). A lot of runners were finishing really tired today. Altior ran as many expected (mistake at the 2nd) and looked the winner before the last. It's difficult to see him beaten this season over 16f and if he does go for the KG i will back him (or my brother can on my behalf) but i doubt he's a runner. Once again Ed gave me a good price (on Altior) and my thanks to him if he's looking in. I also bet it on here at 1.69 and 1.70 this morning. I backed Lalior (never in the race really) but the stake was recovered on Definitely Red not long after. My EW selection Kagney at Navan fell but it was only a fun bet on here before i left. That was the extent of my bets today. Trusty, Well done with the lay, hope you made a good few quid. Sorry i didn't see your post before i left. Macintoshmatty, Unlucky, it's not easy at low prices (even though it drifted)

By:
It's even worse Andrew I layed the next one in running!!!!!!!
| ||||||||
|
By:
Matty,
JG has a good strike record on the AW tracks, over 28% at Wolverhampton, Do what i do when i lay a winner at the track, blame the surface. It's never a bad selection of course ![]()

Flash bookie,
Ed, test PM sent as discussed, you have to access it via the New Community
|
By:
yes Andrew he's probably my fav flat trainer but I layed the first one after viewing its last run, even with improvement I thought it could get beat with a slow start and a bad draw, that part went well. Then the second one looked very green early on so in I went. Seems hard for them to get home tonight.
Enjoy your break with daughter, hope Santa brings you all that you want

Andrew,
Something to watch in a quiet five minutes, this is the film of the last run in France for the horse we've been discussing: > https://drive.google.com/open?id=1nWP_Xpuwgfj4tXcb2-PDmdZyq4Rx7gfJ He was giving 3kgs to the runner-up here, and she has won twice since and is now rated 157.
