Not to concerned about the betting in these big class 2 races but I'm going to have a little saver on Love Dreams in the 3:00.

3:00 Newmarket(J) Love Dreams (£3)

Sofias Rock ran a blinder in g3, cardsharp just won a g2 they seem to be running their races today at HQ.

The 2 runners a bit in between what you'd usually want experience wise in such a competitive hcp, fingers crossed.

Really need Joe to get the double up there today with Storm Cry now he's gone in with the 2yo. could give a bit of momentum at last!

Storm Cry plenty of 4.0 around earlier hitting 3.0 now

and I'd be pretty sure plenty of these over the last 2 seasons have been very disappointing though yesterday's winner 2.88 < 2.11

seeing them well backed is not something that gives me more confidence for this yard and getting the dregs of them at SP is frustrating Devil

Not too many of them are a problem I suppose with the odds played and in the bigger fields we see plenty of fairly weak ones go in so swings and roundabouts Wink

SP the fairest solution on freds like this.

Deadbrain

do you remember the figs i put up for group races before, they were not an easy punting proposition.

Perhaps the increase in 2yo stock last few seasons from the sheikh is going to be throwing up a bit more quality though.

Certainly won't surprise to see SDS hit the board tonight, the 2 handicappers both runners up on here last time. Hamster Jam just been edged out twice selected on here and one I'm not following at tonight's price, If it's one that got away then so be it. Celestation been a bit buzzy and there's other pace so will be interesting tactically.

Will leave it till tomorrow.

Just one for me today, 7.35 Carl, Ventura Knight @ 7-2. 82 looks a bit high for what he has achieved so far, but acts on the ground, stiff finish proven at Beverley and hopefully can make all from a good draw. At the price, I'm happy to play catch me if you can. Good luck all  Happy

Lots of interesting runners today ...
2:25 Newmarket(j) Nyaleti Really scorched a trail in a Wesley ward style blitz at RA in the Chesham, going clear and only headed inside the last still managing to hold on to second. The debut was impressive and the drop back to 6f with the mentioned speed has to be given the utmost respect today. Price?

2:40 York Beardwood Yard won this last year with yorkidding . 4yo’s and to some degree 5yo’s are very dangerous to oppose from the yard at the height of the season in these class 2 3yo+ hcps. Plenty have run a lot already in the season without winning and any unexposed element distance wise has seen these go on again having looked a bit static over the last 10 runs with many still bumping around their career high marks.Beardwood only tried 12f once on seasonal return when many are nowhere near race ready so dangerous to discount with plenty of runs suggesting the trip could suit.
A couple of issues one the York factor was never involved only visit but that was again early season and on bad ground and the recent run going so close. (market often has these)

he’s a pretty good fit but undecided as yet.

2:50 Ascot Rufus King got tired late on in Ireland when you wouldn’t have thought the first 2 were getting caught for most of the race with himself and the eventual 3rd treading water to be passed late. Drop back in trip here and obvious looking claims. Yard took this with montataire last year, a slight worry in this grade yard has under hit with top weights in nurseries (2-33 with 7.23 expected) so whether these are value in general is ?? You have to say that Cardsharp’s win yesterday at HQ in a g2 has certainly not done RK’s prospects any harm as was 2nd to yard mate at Beverley 2 runs back.
Another not sure with

3:00 Newmarket (j) Titi Makfi, Monticello[/]
Yard does well for the decent prizes in the 3yo division at the heart of the season and has obviously targeted this race with the last 4 winners. Titi has obviously been steadily improving, there aren’t too many that arrive in races like this with no experience of the grade or higher but she has little exposure at the distance still and it’s very hard to say where the limit is at the moment.
Monty looks like this is the minimum trip requirement now and will obviously handle conditions with two recent runners up efforts over the CD. A bigger field and stronger pace may help today and I can’t rule this one out as has plenty of class experience and is definitely still open to improvement at the distance and more likely further.

Will be interested how the market sees these nearer the time

4:10 Newmarket(j) [i] Starlight Mystery
Didn’t really get away in the Albany at RA before late gains suggested that this trip should be to her liking now. It has to be a worry that yard is 7-143 in class 2 nurseries (16.09 expected) so it’s been a tough gig for these.

Not sure at the moment about selections today, will post anything on tonight's nearer the time.

Gl McCoy decent profile signals for that one in the grade winning lto (though last run novices not much to go on as yet since reclassification of the 2yo's races last year).

3:00 Newmarket (j) Titi Makfi, Monticello[/]

Had a decent bet on Titi at Chester (For the record check how many winners MJ had with 3yo's that won last two races prior to Chester run in June/July months.

Prefer Montocello today though.

Going to play Beardwood despite the york angle and an obvious good run lto which the market often has a hold on.

By:

I don't see why not PHS, the favourite deserves to be it's price imo on these terms.

Really like Soldier In Action, was thinking it waas one of the Goodwood ones to turn up there well handicapped but the win and the last run have probably put him in no mans land mark wise at present Sad
