No top draw picks some in powerful groups but they all pretty much have some sort of negs.
I'll join you will love oasis Hatters before I'm off to the dentist, probably won't get to see it till after. this Class 3yo+ hcps this time of the year strong, perhaps slightly more favourable for 3yo+ last race too, no 3yo only hcp winners lto have won in this group. On the plus side is bang in form and this race doesn't look to deep outside of the top 2 in mkt, not many are upped 2 grades without running a decent race this time of the year. 3:00 Pontefract Love Oasis, current odds 5.2 Perhaps a couple at Hammy later but want another look |

I've backed Yorkee Mo Sabee @ 4-1, although I see Hugh Taylor's selection Billy Robert's has been pulled out so there maybe a rule 4. Thought it ran quite well last time and has been put up 2lb - which I never like, when they haven't actually won. More of a concern to me is that the Tote have taken part of my bet and I just cannot win with them. I wish I knew whether it was just randomness and I will eventually revert to the mean or there's something more to it ie when they are best priced on a selection I want to back, then I should take that as a sign and forget about backing it and maybe even lay the horse. Any thoughts anyone?

On a side note backed Voski today, again partly with the Tote
in the hope a return to the aw will revitalize it. See there's been money for it although again one has come out since I put my bet on. Seems to be a lot of non runners lately along with horses missing the break or getting stuck in the starting stalls. |

Def an oasis of love with that one
Powerful for me SE |

Celestation is the best fit today for me, powerful love probably worth another chance too.
Was hoping with all these runners for something stronger today tbh |

If this reduced field runs to type the MJ pair could have all the early to themselves.
about time yorkee kept his head in front ![]() no strong profiles in this race but interesting how it pans out. |

Bonnie Arlene in the 5.00? Placed in 8 of last nine handicaps and has gone well for an apprentice before. Win and place bet for me, decent price at 7.6.

Nice place money at 2.78 will do nicely, given a very erratic ride by the youngster though it must be said. |

at least she got the place in the end, wd TT

She did indeed, I think thats her first ever placed horse, still on that big learning curve so cant be harsh to her, everyone's been there at some stage of their life.

She won a race for the yard last year Tiger.
I'd love to see old Sennockian bounce back tonight but have nothing to suggest he will in this race. I'm going to stake more for the strength of the stats this season and though tonight's pair have some strong angles this time of year they don't score too highly over all and as individuals I'm not that taken with either. Powerful Love stepped up last time with the ft blinkers (which aren't too strong for yard) and is only trying the distance for the 2nd time. Joe/Hamilton and July are strong factors and hasn't had too many efforts in hcps yet, perhaps the last run can be built upon in this switch to 3yo+ company. Celestation is in a group of runners that has done very well at the track, the 3yo+ group is traditionally very strong this time of the year as mentioned above, class 4 handicappers that have won 1 race on their cv have done very well in these races at the track, the main concern for me is that this race looks pretty hot for the grade so confidence is not so great. They've had their winner here with the 2yo on the card let's hope that wasn't the sole hope today. 8:15 Powerful Love, current odds 10.0 (half stakes) 8:45 Celestation, current odds 9.8 (half stakes) |

Very pleasing run ROB
![]() better ground for Addicted hatters? it's soft. |

Addicted is the closest fit to anything decent today btw

20/1 2 year old just went in on debut. Biggest price turf winner this year?

Surely Highly Sprung is another not today job
Perhaps the plan is to get a bit further down for the chance of 2 wins before the competitive mark is gone. Was absolutely convinced this horse was ready before that bath race! |

Sure cant be that bad again, 20+ seems tempting.

By:
Non runner, temptation removed.

Be interesting in the mkt next time back on fast ground ROB.
This 3:30 isn't a perfect fit today with either runner but it has plenty of the strong factors for 3yo's in 3yo+hcps at this time of the year based on exposure at conditions, multiple race runners, race prize money and amount of racing the runner(s) have had so far in season. The ground has thrown a ? into the mix, I was leaving this today but I'm going to go after these if they are close fits in July. 3:30 Hamilton Masham Star, current odds 7.4 3:30 Hamilton Aardwolf, current odds 24.0 Masham comes out a bit stronger today as has a bit of experience of running at distance and further. About time one of these nearly fits won ![]() |
|
By:
Should have said Aardwolf is half stakes
|
|
By:
Ground at Hamilton looks to be racing on the soft side for sure
|
|
By:
Masham 1.07 another 2nd

Going to play Addicted To You, it came out with a pretty decent profile for the course/ time of year. Ground of course is a ? but that last run is nowhere near conclusive for me having that as a negative, to me this trip looks very likely to be welcomed if he goes on it.

u/l ran a cracker again
which of the regular johnston jockeys is the best judge of pace iyo SE? |
|
By:
It's a hard one Wonders as joe is on plenty that are pretty straight forward on the front end and obviously plenty finding races unexposed at distances they will improve at.
I would definitely say If he has to push and shove much it's often not ending too well though. SDS is just a notch above imo and Franny pretty good tactically when coming from off the pace. Joe doesn't put me off too many though as most of the yards runners are well behaved and relaxed. |
